So today is day 1, I've just taken my before pictures had a little cry and weighed myself.

I've got 3.5 stone to lose and then some more that I'll assess when I get there.
Because I WILL get there!

Starting off with calorie counting, no choc/crisps and either a bike ride or c25k every evening after dc2 goes to sleep. And will tweak as necessary as I go.

I'm planning on posting here A LOT as dh is less than helpful and tbh is he's annoying me during lock down so I'll probably moan about him here too!

Feel free to join in, share tips, try stay sane and on track. Halo

I need to get back to the exercise - I have not been at all this month!

BluePajamas · 26/10/2020 07:33

How's everyone this week?

Toomanycats99 · 26/10/2020 12:40

Sitting on the beach with fish and chips after a big bacon sarnie for breakfast. I'm not going near scales for sometime when I get back!

BluePajamas · 26/10/2020 15:58

That sounds lovely! Did you have a mr Wippy for pudding?!

Toomanycats99 · 26/10/2020 16:18

No mr whippy but I might have sneaked a mint choc chip ice cream!

BluePajamas · 26/10/2020 18:18

Mint choc chip is the best! I used to sit with bowls of it on my baby bump when I was pregnant with my son...11 years later and it's still on my belly! Grin

My return to the wagon today has gone well, haven't hit steps or water target but I'm below calories and still time to work on the water so it's all good.

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 28/10/2020 11:41

DTS1 (incredibly fussy eater) loves mint choc chip ice cream Grin

Oooof, it's half term and I'm already exhausted Sad I just find having both DTs such flipping hard work! Individually they are ok now but together... and I ache all over, really ache, makes me tired and grumpy. Don't know if it's the change in the weather, me being a bit poorly or five years with no break from them and no lie in...!

Anyhow, I will probably join you in no naughties November @BluePajamas, once half term is finally over... must do something to shift a few pounds! I stayed the same this week but know I need to lose quite a bit of weight. On the bright side, the house is almost sorted, I'm now on to job hunting and a bit more self confidence would really help with that.

Hope you're enjoying your half term too @Toomanycats99, I'm very jealous of your beach trip!!

Toomanycats99 · 28/10/2020 12:57

@ClaraTheImpossibleGirl

Back working with endless hours of zoom calls!

It was one night and Sunday p'd with rain until mid afternoon so it wasn't as lovely as it may have been. Girls enjoyed it though. Sent youngest to a gymnastics holiday camp for 2 days which she didn't want to go to as she cannot do gymnastics. She's come out of day 1 wanting to start classes! Could be an expensive holiday club!

BluePajamas · 01/11/2020 17:37

It's November!! So many hashtags NoNaughtiesNovember NoExcusesNovember
NoMoreSittingOnMyArseNovember
NoMoreStuffingChocolateNovember

I could go on!

Plus side to a second lockdown is I won't be able to afford junk food and takeaway, silver linings and all that!

How is everyone getting on?

Toomanycats99 · 01/11/2020 21:38

Not been very good this week. Eaten lots of junk. Bought my pass for next months classes on Friday and of course now they are being cancelled! Imgoi g to try and get out for walks with a friend as she lives alone so struggles a bit I think.

Bankrupt today as took youngest to Legoland - between tickets, qbots and lunch I could have paid for a weekend away! She loves it though and as she has been desperate to go for about 18 months that was the main thing.

Hope you all getting on ok.

BluePajamas · 03/11/2020 21:27

I love Lego land!

I've been trying the weighted hula hoop but can't even do 1 hula, it's SO much harder than it looks!

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 04/11/2020 14:02

I've been really busy clearing out the loft in readiness for a charity shop collection tomorrow - thought I'd have a good sort out, sell some bits, give some away - the best laid plans, eh?! Collection is postponed till at least December, depending on whether Boris says we can all come out of hibernation then...

We took the DTs to Legoland last summer and they loved it! Thought we'd go back this year but alas, it was not to be. I keep looking for cheap deals to stay at the Legoland hotel - as @Toomanycats99 said, it's an expensive visit regardless! - but the cheapest I've ever seen it was around £400 Sad. That did include park tickets but still Shock

All the DT's activities are shutting down too, annoyingly even the outdoor sports ones, which you'd have thought would be more beneficial to keep open. Maybe I should invest in a weighted hula hoop to tire them out @BluePajamas?!

At least the schools are still open although I have stocked up on gin just in case they close

BluePajamas · 04/11/2020 14:50

I've given up so you can have mine!

I tried to exercise yday but the dc took over so I'm now looking for something else to squeeze into the conservatory, I have a treadmill and a twist and shape thing but I ended up with the stupid hula hoop..

BluePajamas · 04/11/2020 19:34

Dh is annoyed but I now have a mini exercise bike! Fb marketplace is so addictive I've got my eye on a stepper too...

How is everyone doing this week so far? Mines not been too bad, haven't slipped and binged yet!

Toomanycats99 · 04/11/2020 21:03

@BluePajamas

I've had such a bad week. I ate a whole Mary Berry lemon loaf cake between yesterday and today!

Way too much junk overall.

BluePajamas · 04/11/2020 22:19

Oh dear, don't let it ruin the rest of your week though, draw a line and move on... hope it was nice though so it was worth it! Grin

I saw someone put a saying on here that they liked and it stayed with me though I can't remember it exactly if one of your flowers is dead you don't throw away the whole bunch..if you have a wobble you don't have to screw the rest of the week up.. worth remembering if your are struggling

Toomanycats99 · 07/11/2020 09:12

Still now quite back on track however I have been organising. I spent the last couple of evenings batch cooking and freezing loads of casserole type meals for my DD's. So hopefully this will help as means I am still do them proper meals not bung on stray stuff and still have energy to cook something for me. Plus I can eat them too and just skip the potatoes / pasta to keep it low carb.

The girls dad is seeing them later so I'm off for a walk with a friend.

I also now have a load of training for work to do in next 6 months (equates to about a day a week) outside work time so that cuts into my time to try and get any exercise. It's beneficial to me so have to think short term pain long term gain!

Pittypatcat · 07/11/2020 11:58

I have 3 stone to lose: 1.5 gained during this pandemic through good food and far too much alcohol. I am glad I found this, and interested to see how highly you rate calorie counting. Good luck all.

BluePajamas · 07/11/2020 15:55

I tried c25k today on the treadmill...urgh I did not manage it! Going to try again this evening though as the conservatory will have cooled down a bit- there's no opening windows so it's either a sauna or a fridge and not much middle!

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 10/11/2020 09:11

I went out for a week 3 run on Sunday @BluePajamas - it was hard work!! Can't believe I was up to week 7 before Shock

No news here, just plodding away, it's taken me days (if not weeks) to sort out the loft when I thought it would be a relatively quick job Hmm it's been such a millstone round my neck but is almost done! Honestly, it's got to the point where it became a mental block, I couldn't think about doing anything else till that was sorted; I need to sort out the fridge, do some batch cooking (following the excellent example of @Toomanycats99!), start exercising properly, keep job hunting etc etc. On the bright side, I've started dog walking again for an elderly neighbour, which will at least get my step count up!

How are you finding the calorie counting @Pittypatcat?

Pittypatcat · 10/11/2020 19:20

Finding it tough as I eat a lot of leftovers added to this and that to make a meal. Impossible to get an accurate count. I guess stopping the boozing will cut quite a lot!

BluePajamas · 10/11/2020 19:34

I lost 2.8lb this week meaning my total since restart is -5.6lb.

Still feeling positive and managed to get whole family out for a walk on both days this weekend... c25k can do one for the time being though..will hold off till I've lost a chunk first!

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 16/11/2020 12:20

Well done on your loss @BluePajamas! Did you manage to get the family out for a walk this weekend too?! All the DC's out of school activities are shut down, so we've been dog walking for a neighbour (which they are grateful for too, as they have bad arthritis and the dog is a handful!) - DP refuses to come with us at the weekend though Sad I find it really frustrating actually; he said again that he needs to lose weight (and indeed does seem to have put some on) but will not do a thing about it!! Admittedly I didn't go for a run as it was AF time and I felt dreadful, but I did dog walk and take the DCs out for a bike ride too. If it was up to him he would let them eat sweets, watch TV and play on the games console all day, then wonder why none of his clothes fit and they are bouncing off the wall with energy to burn Hmm

Hope you are both doing well too @Toomanycats99 and @Pittypatcat!

Flittingaboutagain · 16/11/2020 12:31

I've been following your thread well done OP.

BluePajamas · 16/11/2020 19:55

It's lady time and I'm craving cheesecake and doughnuts..I haven't had those but I have had shortbread and haribo and still in the throes of it so didn't weigh myself today, I'm not punishing myself though, life is tough enough as it is atm, I'm waiting for the storm to pass and then will carry on where I left off.

I've now got a little circuit going on in the conservatory, treadmill, stepper and exercise bike (fb marketplace is addictive) so if I can just get out my own way I plan on doing that 3/4 times a week. Work has pretty much dried up now for the foreseeable so I have no excuse really.

Hope everyone is getting on ok, dh is off work for the week now..wish me luck Grin
