So today is day 1, I've just taken my before pictures had a little cry and weighed myself.

I've got 3.5 stone to lose and then some more that I'll assess when I get there.
Because I WILL get there!

Starting off with calorie counting, no choc/crisps and either a bike ride or c25k every evening after dc2 goes to sleep. And will tweak as necessary as I go.

I'm planning on posting here A LOT as dh is less than helpful and tbh is he's annoying me during lock down so I'll probably moan about him here too!

Feel free to join in, share tips, try stay sane and on track. Halo

Morning!

It's a new week and I'm finally feeling better which means I'm back on it, though it's too hot for the treadmill in conservatory so will be really strict with my calorie intake instead.

Work is very light this week where I've passed on so much lately so I'm planning on blitzing the house over the week, I've SO much clutter even when I do tidy and clean it looks a state Hmm

notevenamum1 · 10/08/2020 12:58

So my normal weigh in day is Monday but I did it on Wed last week as I was away for a long weekend. Not sure if I should now have Wed as my weigh in day? Do think Monday is the most brutal of the days to weigh yourself after the weekend...

Anyway good news! I am 3lbs down which takes my total weight loss so far to 8lbs. I have so much to lose - about 3 stones but trying to think of it a stone at a time.

I am very grateful that I am getting results as I have been in a position of dieting and losing nothing or even gaining for weeks on end. BUT I have to say, this is really bloody hard. I’m starving all the time and cranky. My sleep has also been affected because I am just so hungry. I am eating about 1,300 cals mid week and 1,500 at the weekend so I’m not under eating but I’m just a really hungry gal confused hopefully the scales moving will keep me somewhat motivated.

Well done everyone for your efforts x

Glad you’re feeling better @BluePajamas

RubySlippers77 · 10/08/2020 23:20

@BluePajamas if you finish blitzing your house feel free to come and make a start on mine Grin

Well done on your weight loss @notevenamum1! Depending on your starting weight, you might be 'allowed' more calories a day? I know WW give more points depending on your weight... worth looking into if you're really hungry.

I have stalled with the weight loss/ healthy eating - just so tired and frazzled, never get a break from the DC, fed up of having no energy but then have no energy to make a change. Aaarggghhh. I came out of hospital a physical wreck after giving birth - DP was massively unhelpful and unsupportive - I actually lost all the pounds quite quickly but (with hindsight) think it was a bad move, as I still hadn't recovered. And now I am over a stone heavier than I was having just given birth Blush

Toomanycats99 · 19/08/2020 07:21

I feel like I have ground to a halt! Although I have stuck to it most days there have been a few meals out and I will be away this weekend!

Hopefully when I get back I can focus on it properly again.

BluePajamas · 19/08/2020 10:25

I'm starting to think there's something wrong with me... how can I be so unhappy and know how much things will improve if I wasn't such a fatty yet I still want to stuff my face every min of the day?!

RubySlippers77 · 19/08/2020 11:14

@BluePajamas I think you have been reading my mind Confused

I am fed up being fat, fed up feeling unhealthy and having no energy, but can I resist the cookies at the bakery? I cannot.

For me I think it's partly having small DC who I never get a break from, partly just general exhaustion from the past several hundred five years since I was heavily pregnant/ they were born, partly having no social life to encourage me to look better... etc. And then when I do get invited anywhere I'm embarrassed by how I look; my clothes are hideously old and scruffy but I don't want/ can't afford to buy any more when I'm still this overweight.

Two weeks till the schools go back though!!

BluePajamas · 23/08/2020 19:57

I think it might be hormone related why I'm so off again on again as it's been a few days and I feel so motivated again. How the hell do I fix that?! I just want to put my finger on what it is that's causing the hold up. I thought it was lack of sleep as dd is almost 4 and still only slept through a handful of times.. but I don't think it's that as surely i would have adjusted by now. The scales are going up not down! SadBlushAngry

Hope everyone is has been behaving themselves and setting a better example!

Toomanycats99 · 23/08/2020 21:34

It's weird.....I was low carb for about 6 weeks and have completely gone back to old habits this week as have had meals out and a weekend away. I have been so bloated and actually not really enjoyed the foods I thought I was looking forward too. I felt like I just wanted nothing or a sake which is really unlike me.....

RubySlippers77 · 23/08/2020 22:40

It's odd isn't it @Toomanycats99? You think you'll 'treat' yourself to something you haven't had for a while and then it turns out to not be a treat after all Sad

Lack of sleep is such a demotivator @BluePajamas. My DTs are sleep opposites - one's a morning person who would be up at 6am if he could but is tired out by 7pm, thankfully - the other is a night owl who'd rather be up till 9pm but then will sleep till 8am given the chance! Either would be fine but I can't cope with them at the same time, means I get hardly any sleep if I don't make them try to rest at the same time...

BluePajamas · 24/08/2020 02:09

I'd go potty if she didn't go to sleep by 8pm in the evenings, those 2 hours before I conk out are MY 2 hours to just sit and not have to hear any more noise!

She's been up for 2 hours so far, keeps dreaming her friend is slapping her in the face! (She hasn't even seen her since before lock down!)

Luckily I've got the day off Tomo but I can't see me doing the treadmill in the morning like I was planning. Hmm
I am going to have a week of no junk food, soups for dinners and flexible lunches and go from there.

BluePajamas · 24/08/2020 10:45

Yup, as expected I struggled this morning!

Will focus on what I'm eating today instead of trying to burn it off!

BluePajamas · 02/09/2020 21:06

Anyone still here?

Toomanycats99 · 02/09/2020 22:06

Yes although nothing to report as only just getting back on track!

It was my daughters birthday so a lot of cake.....

BluePajamas · 03/09/2020 07:32

Ah happy birthday!

I've just got back from holiday (camping) with my boozy BIL so it's not a good number on the scales!

I'm feeling positive to get back to it though. I did go ape 3 days ago and I still ache I'm so unfit. Blush it's giving me motivation though!

Toomanycats99 · 03/09/2020 07:50

I fee fairly positive. We had weekend away and I had a few meals out as well prior to that so I haven't lost any more but I've only gained back maybe 2lbs from my lowest weight so I'm taking that as positive.

I also got all my 'too fat for these' clothes out the drawer - all the stuff I really liked but could not bear to give away.

I reckon another stone and I can wear them - I can get them on now but they look a bit tight.

And I took my blood pressure and it's way down since last year.

So all in all I am feeling positive and dd's going back to school will definitely make it easier to get back in a routine.

RubySlippers77 · 03/09/2020 23:21

I'm still here @BluePajamas - and still fat - but the DC are finally back at school this week, hopefully it's an opportunity to do something for myself at last!!

RubySlippers77 · 03/09/2020 23:22

I have my 'too fat for these' clothes in the loft @Toomanycats99 Blush - when I've lost a stone (ok, maybe a stone and a half) I will have a great wardrobe Grin

notevenamum1 · 03/09/2020 23:58

Hi, I’m here! I’m in a huff as didn’t lose any weight despite being a top weight loss student all week. I did have my period though so sticking at it and hoping to see some results at next weeks weigh in

BluePajamas · 04/09/2020 08:32

I bet next weeks weigh in will see it so don't give in!

I have a too fat ikea bag of clothes under my bed! Dh keeps asking to bin them but I'm like noooooo I know it's been 3 years but I WILL get in them!! Grin

RubySlippers77 · 04/09/2020 22:59

Fingers crossed for next week @notevenamum1!

I've ordered some size 16 jeans for winter @BluePajamas, my old ones were completely worn out. I swore I wasn't going to be a size 16 by Christmas this year but weight loss just hasn't happened yet Sad

BluePajamas · 05/09/2020 16:52

There's still time, if you crack on you can avoid the 16s at xmas..I'll challenge you if you want as I had to buy a emergency pair of trousers last week as was out and realised just how worn away the chub rub bit was! I was scared to unlock my knees in case anyone noticed!

RubySlippers77 · 05/09/2020 23:15

Hahaha yes @BluePajamas, I've had to sew up a few pairs of trousers where they've worn in that department!! The jeans were beyond repair though!

I accept your challenge especially as I am nearer an 18 than a 14 and the week coming will see some serious planning on how to achieve it Grin DP is back at work and the DC are back at school (part time for now, but better than nothing) - I will finally have time to sort myself out!

BluePajamas · 06/09/2020 08:27

I'm also more an 18 than a 14 but I declare a challenge and winner is first to go down a size!

Toomanycats99 · 06/09/2020 08:59

Weighed this morning and my extra lbs have melted away.

My BMI is 30 so the teeny weenyest bit away from 'overweight' I've also hit the 1.5 stone mark.

It's hard to know if I have dropped a clothes size because although I have bought some 16's my jeans are a 20.....there is room to spare but not that much that I could dream of getting in a 16. Although I had some size 18 jeans which were bigger than the 20! They must be extra clingy jeans.

BluePajamas · 06/09/2020 13:59

It's so stupid that different shops have different measurements, I constantly shop online, put stuff in the basket then just end up just leaving it as I'm too lazy to send it back if it doesn't fit!
