How is Sunday treating us all? I've just had warm quiche and salad for dinner with light salad cream. It was lovely but to be honest I'm still pretty hungry!

@recklessgran I was very firm today that I did not want potatoes!! But yes a smaller plate is a good idea :) he is just a classic feeder!

Am enjoying the cooler fresher weather today, I had got too hot the last couple of days and I've burnt even with F30 on (stupid sensitive pale skin) so the cool breeze through the window feels lovely! I

@cricketmum84 that sounds tasty. The cool air is lovely, I hope your sunburn is not too tender.

Very relaxed Sunday here.

Gammon and cauliflower cheese, followed by a keto cake with clotted cream, might be OMAD as I ate at 2pm and don't think I will be hungry again.

Stuck to my macros all week but not expecting to see a loss in the morning as my hormones are haywire. TOTM arrived a week early Sad

WhatALearningCurve · 10/05/2020 20:37

So today is not a good day.

Had all my food planned out - then this afternoon has been an emotional whirlwind of crap due to having a crappy excuse of a man for my sons father. Was making my tea whilst having a bit of stompy rant - and it all fell in the sink. No other food in the house because I've basically been getting enough in to last each week so I don't over eat.

So I'm now waiting for a takeaway.

However. I know I've been good the rest of this week. I know one takeaway isn't going to negate my hard work.

I would like to think I'll still have a loss tomorrow but I'm going to take tomorrow's weigh in with a pinch of salt if I have gained and know it will drop back down within a few days.

I'm trying to change my mentality because before it would have been "well I've fucked it now haven't I". But I need to learn to look at the big picture of how I'm eating etc and not just each meal

recklessgran · 10/05/2020 21:29

Evening all. It's been freezing cold here and windy. I had toast again at lunch time. I have no idea why I did that - just fancied it and suddenly cared more about having the toast than the new slimmer me. Chicken salad for dinner whilst watching Boris. Clear as mud. No change then as I read it. Oh well, weigh day tomorrow and I'll be stunned if I haven't gained. Fresh start for the new week for me. I suspect most of you are doing better than I but I have given myself a talking to and intend to pull myself together as don't want to undo all my hard work.

recklessgran · 11/05/2020 07:05

Morning everyone. Today is my weigh day.
Last week 12 st 2.5lbs
Today 12st 3.75lbs
As expected a gain of 1.25lbs for me but still down 2.25lbs for May so far. Going to have to work hard to get into the 11's by the end of the month. I'm OMAD today and will have pork chop and vegetables for dinner tonight.
Have a good day all.

GetTheStartyParted · 11/05/2020 07:28

Morning

I think that's not too bad @recklessgran You can do this!
Weigh in day for me too. A 1lb loss this week. 3lb to get to 3st and then I can eat my Easter egg Grin I hope it just drops off this week!

Today's food:
L: prosciutto and salami with cucumber salad
D: probably gammon and cauliflower cheese again, I have leftovers from yesterday.

WhatALearningCurve · 11/05/2020 08:09

12st 2.5 this morning.

I'm happy with that. Still a lb loss since last week and I think it will drop again once I lose the bloating from yesterday.

I can tell I had a takeaway last night and I feels drained and lethargic today. Going to get out for a walk with the pram later and try to clear the cobwebs to get my motivation back on track for this week

cricketmum84 · 11/05/2020 08:18

17.13 this morning! Sooooo excited to see a 17 after the constant sticking between 18 and 18.2 over the last few weeks!!

Plan for today is:
B - skipping and just drinking loads of water, may have a pear if I get really hungry
L - shopska salad
D - spicy stir fried broccoli

Have a fabulous Monday!!

Woohoo, fantastic @cricketmum84, it's always a great feeling to drop under the next stone mark. So pleased your commitment is paying off.
My weekend was okay food wise. I had some of the cake that I made and succumbed to a drink but overall still in a better place with my eating and self discipline than I have been for a while. Kept 4lbs off since last Sunday and so the aim for the next 3 ish weeks is 2 lbs off per week.

SconNotScone · 11/05/2020 09:54

Congrats on any losses, commiserations on any gains, but sounds like lots of us are moving in the right direction!

Great achievement @cricketmum84, it’s so nice dropping down into the next stone!!

Weigh in this morning was good! 10st 1.75lb (down by 1.25lb from last week - the quarter is important! 😂) Although I made the mistake of putting my scales on a different spot on the floor earlier, and it registered me as 3lb heavier. When I got these scales a few weeks ago, having not weighed in over a month, I was really pleasantly surprised by my weight, and now I’m worried that actually it’s not accurate, and really I’m 3lb heavier! I think seeing as I have been weighing in the same spot for last few weeks, I will stick with it for continuity (and because I want to be the lighter weight 😂) Anyway!

Breakfast today was Greek yoghurt, a sprinkle of granola and a few strawberries (220 cal)

Lunch will be same as I had yesterday, which was utterly delicious - an Itsu rice noodle ramen pot (katsu flavour) with three Itsu chicken gyoza out of the freezer (simmered), a boiled egg and some bean sprouts (380 cals)

And not sure about dinner yet! Must plan better.

StudentHelp · 11/05/2020 11:11

I’m not weighing myself this week as I’m on my period and feeling horrible and bloated, I had a day off yesterday (ate 2000 calories) and didn’t do a workout as felt shit.

So I’m going to wait until my period is over, although it usually lasts 9 days so that could be a while and I’m hoping for a good 4/5lb loss by then once the water weight has gone!

WhatALearningCurve · 11/05/2020 14:25

@sconnotscone (massively disagree with your name fyi ha). My kitchen floor is massively uneven. I basically moved my scales round till a bag of sugar or potatoes weighed 1kg and then that's where they live so I know they're mostly accurate

JessJonesJumps · 11/05/2020 17:19

cricket well done on dropping to the next stone! That's brilliant! Especially in these uncertain times and with shingles. You're a Star !

Well, today didn't quite go to plan. For some reason DH thought DS had no school today because they had a holiday on Fri. Getting back into the home schooling routine on a Monday is always a nightmare but add in the surprise that it wasn't a holiday like DH said and .. . well. ... Hmm Let's just say our schedule was completely behind for the rest of the day.

I ended up making mini pizzas for lunch and I ate two of them! I know I shouldn't have but tbh I felt comfortably full after them, not stuffed so I don't feel too bad about eating them. I'm sure the God of the scales won't look favourably on me tomorrow but it was worth it.

@WhatALearningCurve I can't believe I've never thought to put a known weight on my scales to work out which part of the floor is correct Blush I'm going to do that tonight.

Onceuponatimethen · 11/05/2020 18:09

@cricketmum84 that is a great result - really pleased for you! Liking the sound of the spicy broccoli as well...

Onceuponatimethen · 11/05/2020 18:10

@JessJonesJumps definitely right not to feel bad about the pizzas as we all need a treat sometimes! We had a Chinese take away last night from our local - really close to us and was sooooo tasty

I weighed this morning but am blaming TOTM as I had gone up a fair bit and I did a 7 mile walk at the weekend so surely that cancels out a Chinese??!!

Onceuponatimethen · 11/05/2020 18:14

Meant to add that dp is really going for it at the moment - safely but sticking well to low cal and doing loads of exercise and weirdly scales have really tipped for him and he’s down to just under 82 kg. He’s decided he has got to keep going. That means:

None of his special fave unhealthy treat bags eaten since December - no pork scratching etc

No more than a few drinks of alcohol drunk in our house since 1 Jan

He may have lost 17 kg in total! We aren’t sure because he didn’t want to weigh at first!

WhatALearningCurve · 11/05/2020 20:38

@jessjonesjumps I wish I could say that I thought of it immediately and it was blatantly obvious but it was after about 3 months of a lot of expletives and a differing weight every day ha

Ticklemeelmo · 11/05/2020 22:12

Hi @SneakersandSocks

Yes was good thanks I hope yours was too- made it out and about in the sunshine :)

That's an amazing weight loss, sure you can do the same again this time. I'm definitely not really a runner either, pre pregnancy I did figure skating and fitness classes but neither is an option currently 😂

I lost some weight soon after baby arrived but it stagnated at the same weight for a few months since so I realised I'll actually need to put some effort in! Hard to say how much I lost initially as I wasn't really weighing myself much after baby arrived. Have you found it hard? Hope the no sugar is going well

Well done @cricketmum84, great achievement

WhatALearningCurve · 12/05/2020 08:19

MY WEIGHT STARTED WITH AN 11 THIS MORNING

I mean barely. It was 11stone 13 and 3/4 but I'm still beyond excited about it.

Not going to take it as a real loss yet because some of it will bloating from Sunday's takeaway and I only just ate over 1000 calories yesterday (just had a day where I wasn't that hungry) so I think I'll go back up in a few days.

But it's still a great start to the day. I can't remember when my weight didn't start with a 12 or 13 (or 14/15 whilst pregnant)

WhatALearningCurve · 12/05/2020 08:27

*be bloating going down from Sunday's takeaway

HundredYearOldMan · 12/05/2020 08:36

Well done @WhatALearningCurve! Hope you manage to stay in the 11s!

My weigh in this morning is 14st 11 so a loss of 2lbs this week. Happy to be more firmly in the 14s now! 2 more pounds until I have lost 1 and a half stone in lockdown.

Well done to everyone yesterday and I’m glad the scales have moved for you @cricketmum84!

SneakersandSocks · 12/05/2020 09:26

Morning everyone,

Well done @cricketmum84, brilliant start to the week!

Hi @Ticklemeelmo,
Figure skating! That’s ace, I bet that kept you fit. I’m extremely ungraceful (real word?) on the ice.

I’m finding the weight is coming off much slower but I’ve read that is common when ebf - your body sends signals to the brain to keep hold of fat deposits in some women
apparently, which makes it hard to shift those pounds.
My sugar cravings are not that bad - I’ve been having fruit or drinking water with abit of lemon in it, although I did have a peanut butter cookie yesterday 😳.

Good news is I weighed myself this morning and I’ve lost 2.5lbs!

I’m going to keep at it and hopefully see some more loss this time next week.

recklessgran · 12/05/2020 13:32

@CricketMum84 well done on getting into the 17's, that is SO great and you must feel brilliant. There's nothing quite like getting into the next stone down for encouragement.
@WhatALearningCurve that's an amazing achievement, I am really pleased for you but jealous as I'm dying to get into the 11's. I don't think I've been there for about 20 years!
I still haven't lost the weight from when I went off the rails on Friday. Trying very hard to stick strictly to Keto. I know I can do this. I've got a big joint of pork in the oven which I'm slow roasting until it falls apart. I'll be having it for dinner with some runner beans and then cold with salad I expect tomorrow. I'm putting the rest into little foil dishes with gravy for my mum who is 87. It helps her out so she only has to cook her veg and no faffing with the oven, carving etc.
@Eesha I've been thinking of you and wondering how you're getting on?
Hope everyone else is doing O.K.

CarrotPuff · 12/05/2020 21:56

Evening everyone! Keep falling off this thread...

My weight remains more or less the same. I know I lost some though, as my face looks thinner, my stomach looks smaller, and my running bottoms feel looser. It did move downwards towards the end of last week, but went back up again, although not as high as before. It's my TOMT as well, which probably doesn't help.

I'm working in the office tomorrow, so hopefully no snacking for me tomorrow!

PlanetSlattern · 12/05/2020 22:07

Well done @cricketmum84 and @WhatALearningCurve. A great achievement to move into a "new" stone. Smile

I am still here. Had a few bonkers days but back on track since Sunday with no booze and lots of vegetarian fare inspired by Louise Parker.

Today:

  • Summer berry smoothie
  • Aduki bean and tomato soup with Parmesan and parsley
  • x1 Ryvita with cashew butter and strawberries
  • Huevos Rancheros

I'm going to weigh myself at the weekend.
