Need to catch up on the thread but weighed in yesterday.
A gain of 0.15kg, which is nothing really.
The annoying thing is body fat has gone up (0.1kg) and body muscle down (0.1kg).
I know and appreciate the figures are tiny but it’s going in the wrong direction that’s the problem.
I have exercised more and eaten better, if not less this week.
I won’t be disheartened though and am going to put it down to my body taking a little while to react.
Hope everyone else is doing well.

MotherOfDragonite · 08/05/2020 15:47

I love your fruit/veg storage, @JessJonesJumps! Very pretty and cheerful, as is that lovely yellow melon on top.

@recklessgran, many congratulations on your anniversary! Have a wonderful time celebrating!

I'm being ok with drinking lots of water. My diet is a big challenge with these unpredictable family meals. I'm so used to being in charge of everything that it's quite hard to navigate! I am being a bit lax about measuring what I'm eating and tracking WW points. I think it's a slippery slope, so I'm admitting it here and hoping to get back to normal again soon!

WhatALearningCurve · 08/05/2020 15:48

Had about a lb gain this morning but it's still lower than Monday weigh in so still happy.

Zoom call with friends got slightly out of hand last night and now I'm struggling with not eating EVERYTHING to combat the hangover!

Definitely eaten more than I have the last few days but still within calories and I've got my food planned for tomorrow and Sunday so today shouldn't have too much of a negative effect.

Going to get in bed at 7 for a Netflix binge once I put my little one to bed so I don't get tempted by night time snacking - one benefit of being a naturally lazy person - if I'm in bed I'm not getting out of it to go downstairs and get food. No matter how hungry I am ha

grumpyorange · 08/05/2020 16:48

After realising i set my scales up completely wrong I have now got an accurate reading.

This week I have lost 4.4lbs 🙌🏻

Quite proud and hoping it will continue!

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 08/05/2020 18:00

Afternoon all.

I've been working today so haven't been tempted by VE Day type treats.

B- porridge - 151kcals
L- ham and cheese bagel thin - 273kcals
D- chicken and halloumi flatbread - 464kcals

Still working hard for a loss next week.

Have a great weekend everyone. 😊

Ticklemeelmo · 08/05/2020 20:54

Hi @SneakersandSocks

Nice to hear from someone in the same boat, I also have around 1 1/2 stone to lose- like you I'm wary of aggressive dieting in case it impacts breastfeeding. My plan is just to try to stick to 2000 calories a day if possible, more if I manage to exercise. I'm aiming to jog about 3 or 4 times a week- feel unfit at the moment but in the past exercising more has helped me lose weight as my willpower with food isn't great 🙈

Would be great to hear if you're finding things that work for you. Cutting back on sugar seems a good plan, I'm quite shocked how much over the sugar limit on MFP I have been.

I've had a relatively good week and then eaten far too many sweet things today- planning to start afresh in the morning with a run.

ploughingthrough · 08/05/2020 23:58

Hello all finally dropped a little bit to 61.1kg. morning weight that for two days so I will take it now. 1kg to go!

Onceuponatimethen · 09/05/2020 00:19

Fun but not low cal VE Day here with too many treats (cake etc) and no exercise

Weighed VE Day morning before all that and had STS at 76.2. I’m sure I will have gained now but will try to get back on track for the rest of the bank holiday weekend!

Onceuponatimethen · 09/05/2020 00:20

Well done @Ploughingthrough - so impressed you are almost there! 1kg totally doable and then you will be done Star

WhatALearningCurve · 09/05/2020 07:31

Good morning everyone!

12st 1 over here this morning. A loss from yesterday and heading in the right direction for Monday's weigh in so feeling happy! Got my food planned for today and tomorrow so hopefully the scales will still be my friend for Monday's "official" weigh in.

FraserBear · 09/05/2020 08:41

Hello everyone!
Weight of 73.9kg this morning. That’s a loss of 1.3kg this week, which is motivating, even though I know it won’t continue Grin .

cricketmum84 · 09/05/2020 09:33

Morning my lovelies. Another lovely sunny day here!

Up 1lb from last week. I've decided to write down my targets for this week for my main habit changes:

  • more water less wine
  • track EVERYTHING EVERY DAY
  • short lunchtime walk every day
  • eat the carrots with low fat hummous. Not the crisps because they are "easier"
  • stop allowing DH to put chips on my plate because my dinner looks "too small"
  • if DH puts chips on my plate JUST DONT EAT THEM
  • clear the fruit bowl

Onwards and downwards everyone!

Morning all - what a fantastic day! Looks like a day for a walk and a salad eaten outside in the garden (with a glass of wine Grin.
Weigh in day here - 2.25 lbs off which I am pleased with on the basis it was my birthday so have had chocolate brownie most days Blush.
Starting weight 21st 11.5 lbs
Current weigh 16 at 9.25 lbs
Total weight so far 5st 2.25lbs

Am desperate to get to16 st 4.5 this month as would then have lost half the weight I need to lose. I know I have a long way to go but somehow feels like a big milestone.
Would love to lose the rest by my birthday next year when I will be 50!

Well done to everyone whether they have gained, stayed the same or lost - it good to share and hear we are all fighting the same battle!!!

grumpyorange · 09/05/2020 12:36

@TheStirrer wow that is amazing!!!

Do you mind me asking how long it's taken you?

TheStirrer · 09/05/2020 12:49

A while!!

I was nearly 22 Stone at at the start of 2019 and just under 20 at the beginning of the year. I had a diagnosis of type2 diabetes at the start of this year so this has really spurred me on and have lost just over 3 stone so far this year...

I knew that Keto wasn’t something I could stick to so went for low carb and typically eat 80-100g of carbs a day, 10,000 steps and at least 2l of liquid a day. If I need to I can reduce carbs further, do intermittent fasting or up exercise later but currently this is a lifestyle change that hopefully I can stick to!

TheStirrer · 09/05/2020 12:51

It’s not quite as impressive as a lot of other posters when you know it’s over 18 months Grin

Onesmallstep67 · 09/05/2020 13:03

On the contrary @TheStirrer, I think you have done fantastically well. And three stone this year shows massive dedication and achievement. Star

rhowton · 09/05/2020 13:12

I'm 4lbs down after weight staying the same since March. 1200 calories a day for two weeks. 1509 calories a day for the next two weeks. I'm also walking and exercising as much as I can.

Onesmallstep67 · 09/05/2020 13:15

Hi everyone, hope you are all enjoying the lovely weather and most importantly keeping well.
I have had a good week. 4lbs down and not struggling too much with adjusting to not eating everything in sight ( as I have been doing for the last 2 months)
At my lightest I was 15st 3lbs at the beginning of March this year. At that point I was 2 lbs off a 4 stone weight loss. My first aim is to get back below 16st and my next is to get back to 15st 3lbs. It's going to take longer to come back off than it took to go on!

I don't follow any specific food plan, just cut down on higher calorie food and try to eat lower cal stuff that I know I enjoy. Alcohol definitely causes me to gain and bloat so going forward that will be a sporadic treat. Overall though I apply the adage ' all things in moderation' because as soon as I feel I am being deprived or restricted then I immediately want to eat everything in sight.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

recklessgran · 09/05/2020 15:14

Afternoon all. Thank you for all the anniversary messages for yesterday. I had a day off on account of it and planned VE Day social distancing street party in our cul de sac. Toast and marmite for breakfast. Downhill thereafter! I made cupcakes yesterday morning and lovingly decorated them and arranged on plate for our table in the front garden. At this point I had no intention of eating any of them .....or the cheese straws. Anyway 2 bottles of prosecco later and I tucked in with gusto. Oh Gawd I was mighty tipsy.[ I am definitely a light weight and a cheap date and not used to afternoon drinking!] Oh well I skipped dinner completely in order to pull it back but the scales this morning tell the tale with a one pound gain. Never mind we had fun and enjoyed chatting to the neighbours. Back on it today. Tuna and cherry tomatoes for lunch and have chicken salad planned for dinner tonight. I've been out in the garden weeding and enjoying the sunshine today as it's going to be freezing here tomorrow apparently.

recklessgran · 09/05/2020 15:20

@CricketMum84 I meant to say have you tried a smaller plate to stop DH from putting extra stuff on? I had this problem too with my DH so I bought some 23cm plates and always use one of those. Our normal dinner plates are a whopping 28cms here and encourage large portions. Everyone knows I have a "small" plate for my dinner, DH always has a large one and if any of the DDs are here they choose which size they would like depending on how hungry they are or how delicious the offerings. Might be worth a try perhaps.

JessJonesJumps · 09/05/2020 15:34

Weight is slightly down again this morning. It's an odd day here - slightly overcast but warm. We had homemade pea and garlic soup for lunch. I have salmon to use up so we'll probably have that tonight.

StudentHelp · 10/05/2020 09:06

I’m up today but only 0.2lb so 90g

SconNotScone · 10/05/2020 09:24

Thanks for the welcome back @recklessgran - sorry it has taken me ages to say that!

I’m not sure I’m up to much at the moment! I am just completely lacking in motivation. I have only got 3-5lb to go to reach goal weight (and then revised goal weight!) and I just can’t find it in me to stop munching. Thankfully I’m making myself get at least 10,000 steps a day (and most day I’m up to at least 12k), so I think that is mitigating things a little. But I just feel like I can’t be arsed!! I have had a couple of “really good” days this week, and a handful of “bad” days - will try and make today a “really really good” day, so when I weigh in tomorrow morning I’ll have a bit of a fighting chance! I suppose at least being in lockdown means that the bad days aren’t as bad as before - no nipping to the co-op for a bar of chocolate!

SneakersandSocks · 10/05/2020 09:38

Hi @Ticklemeelmo
I hope you are having a good weekend,

I’m not a great runner 😳 I’m sure I’m just making excuses but I can’t get into it.
I love walking though and lost a stone and a half in 2.5 months before my wedding a couple years ago from walking everyday, including on my lunch break at work.

I’m using a fitness tracker to track calories, I’m sticking to 2000 like you, so far so good.

Do you find the weight is harder to shift when breastfeeding?
Some people say it dropped off them, others saying they didn’t lose it till they stopped? I’m not planning on stopping anytime soon so I’m hoping the changes I’ve made to diet will help, slowly but surely.

Hope everyone else is ok and enjoying the weekend.
