@cricketmum84 hope you slept a bit better tonight and today is a new day!

@recklessgran sorry to hear you are also feeling a bit off. Love toast and marmite but none for me for a while as I dropped the huge jar I had on the floor yesterday - the sticky marmite and glass clear up was epic! Must get another one in the next internet shop

Onceuponatimethen · 20/05/2020 07:03

@Ploughingthrough like we’ve said before just STS is a massive achievement right now. It is definitely hard being cut off from family, but hopefully the lockdown regimes will be relaxed not too long from now and then things will be a bit easier. I hope your dd is ok

Onceuponatimethen · 20/05/2020 07:05

My plan for today is:

Food

Breakfast - Small bowl porridge with fruit
Lunch - low cal veg soup with salad
Dinner - boiled eggs and salad plus slice of bread

Exercise

Morning - kiddie workouts with dds (around 20 minutes cardio).

Lunchtime 30 minutes walking around garden - hopefully in the sun

Evening - going to spend an hour walking around on the phone to family to try to get my steps up

Onceuponatimethen · 20/05/2020 07:13

Just plucked up the courage to weigh and I’ve gone down to 75kg which I think might be due to the extra steps I’ve been trying to put in.

Had been a bit slack on that the last few days but going to try to keep going now I’ve seen a bit of a result

WhatALearningCurve · 20/05/2020 07:45

Morning everyone

Like a few others I've also felt really flat the last few days. Definitely ate extra than I was going to yesterday but again it's one day and I know I'll make up for it the rest of the week. My son only woke once last night and it was fairly early so I managed to get between 8&9 hours sleep last night so hoping that helps with my mood!

Does anyone get "the fear" when they drop into a new bracket? I spent ages in the 13's and lost weight quite a few times to get in the 12's. Now I'm in the 11's I feel like it's too close to where I've settled in the 12's in the past and i just want to race through them and get to the 10's. It's making me a bit "itchy (I can't think of a word to explain it) about the whole thing and I don't think that's helping. Hoping it will start to ease if I get to 11 1/2 in the next few weeks but it's still not a fun stage to be at!

recklessgran · 20/05/2020 08:11

Morning everyone. @WhatALearningCurve I understand what you mean about "the fear". I've been trying for ages to get into the 11's and am really struggling with the idea that I might never get there. I've looked back in my weight loss journal and actually I've not made much progress at all in the last few weeks.I'm in awe of all of you who are making great progress as mine seems to have stalled now. I'm going to try OMAD for a few days and drinking more water to see if I can finally do it by the end of May. I'm quite tall so need to get to 11st 10lbs to be in the BMI healthy zone.
Plan for today is lots of water and tuna mayo salad for dinner. It's a beautiful day here so hope everyone can get outside and make the most of it.

cricketmum84 · 20/05/2020 08:55

Morning all!

Slept a bit better thanks @Onceuponatimethen. I really do need my mood kicking up the bum though. Hopefully a bit of time sat out in the garden this afternoon will perk me up.

Plan for today is
B - banana
L - handful of cherries and 2 mandarins
D - salad but haven't decided what to put on it yet. Maybe chopped hard boiled egg and a couple of new potatoes? It's too hot to cook anything.

Right, must crack on with work!

My weight is STS but I'm struggling with my attitude. Not so much in that I'm eating lots because there isn't lots to eat - I'm waiting for two deliveries today - but I'm so grumpy and impatient about everything.
There has not been a successful combination of working and home schooling this week and I've also not managed any yoga or Jumpin' Joe.
Actually reading that back, maybe the lack of exercise is affecting my mood? That's quite a novel concept for me ...I'll need to think about it.
I'm hoping to do some work in the garden this afternoon and perk myself up.

Tryingtwo · 20/05/2020 13:10

Afternoon all, weigh in today 11st 11.6lbs up 0.4lbs from Monday - lost 0.4 of a lb in May Hmm. Mucked up my maths yesterday and was 250 cals over my allowance but I did go for a 3 mile walk which apparently burned 206 cals. Instead of walking around the streets we went along the canal - I've lived within a mile of my current home all my life and whilst I knew the canals were there I've never explored them before.
I'm also feeling flat. I'm trying to motivate myself but it's all a bit meh. Dd has gone back to work, dh is working from home and I am wrangling the dgc. 3 yr old is a ball of mischief and ingenuity and I am trying to homeschool the 6 yr whilst keeping the little one from destroying the house or himself!

Onceuponatimethen · 20/05/2020 22:31

Evening all!

Went crazy today and ordered a huge curry takeout. It was very nice and actually cheered us up. Tomorrow will koko and ensure the food is actually low cal.

@Tryingtwo that combination of ages sounds very intense! Hope all went well this afternoon

@JessJonesJumps as a lifelong exercise avoided until lockdown I’ve been amazed by how much exercising more has helped my mood. It’s actually quite funny the way I’m surprised that all these things people have always said turned out to be true!

@cricketmum84 hope you got put into the garden today and had a better day today than yesterday?

@recklessgran hope your OMAD plan went well. I’m sure the weight loss just tips all of a sudden. Hopefully you will get a nice little drop soon

cricketmum84 · 21/05/2020 08:55

Morning everyone :) still at 17.12 this morning which is 4lb loss for the month so far. It's not official weigh in day until Saturday though so I'm praying for more if I can stick to Low calorie and lots of veg.

Plan for today is:
B - just water, maybe a satsuma mid morning
L - prepped an extra pot of salad when I made last nights dinner so salad with 2 hard boiled eggs
D - Jamie Oliver's sweet leek carbonara (no ham) made with wholewheat spelt spaghetti

Managed an hour in the garden yesterday evening until I melted. I wanted it to warm up but it was 33 in my garden according to our weather station and those temperatures are only legal when you are laid next to a cool pool with an iced mojito.

Have a happy Thursday! Hope everyone is doing ok, it's been a lot more quiet than usual here the last couple of days.

Good morning all, just a quick check in - down slightly today. Need to drink more water, I have been getting really lax about that.

grumpyorange · 21/05/2020 10:59

Morning all,

Weigh in day today I've lost 2lbs. I'm so close to the next stone down so will be lots of hard work this week to reach it. I have relaxed this week a bit more and having a substantial lunch which I think has thrown me off!

I am debating changing lunch for dinner though so having my main meal at midday. I'm not sure if I'd be too hungry in the evenings though haha!

Well done on everyone's losses so far!

MonicaBingaling · 21/05/2020 11:37

Morning everyone!

Feeling good today as I weighed myself and I have lost a pound despite having a cheat weekend!

(Been good since Monday though)

I think upping my calories may of boosted my metabolism as before that I was on quite a low amount.

Going to try my best to be healthy for rest of the week and see what happens.

PlanetSlattern · 21/05/2020 11:51

Hello all, sorry for my absence. Sadly the birthday did derail me a bit but hoping to keep on track today. Thank you for all your kind wishes. Will be thrilled if I haven't gained anything this week (unlikely).

It seems like a lot of people have had amazing losses, and a lot of other people are feeling flat. I'm sorry to hear about the latter and I hope you all feel better soon.

I'm OK... not brilliant, bit lockdown-ish. I love the warm weather, but every year it comes around and I feel sad to be facing another summer of covering myself up and either missing out on summery afternoons with a glass of rosé in hand, or doing it anyway and feeling like a failure/not enjoying it.

JessJonesJumps · 21/05/2020 18:20

It’s actually quite funny the way I’m surprised that all these things people have always said turned out to be true!
@Onceuponatimethen yy I feel like 'who knew exercise would make me feel better?' Oh, absolutely everyone who exercises and recommends it. Grin
Wasn't able to weigh this morning because had to take DM to a hospital appointment. But NSV - DM said I looked very well and fit! And DSIS (also there for logistic reasons and social distancing the entire time) said I looked as though I'd lost lots of weight.
I have a box of cakes and boxes of toffee .... this may not bode well for the long weekend ahead.

SconNotScone · 21/05/2020 22:14

Hey all, just checking in. Good few days for me, food wise. Sensible meals and no snacking. Feeling really quite miserable tonight though, so got into bed early to wallow, and get away from the Sainsbury’s delivery which has all the yummy stuff in for DH and DD. Although actually, I haven’t fancied any of it, which I suppose is good!

Will weigh in the morning for a quick check, although proper weigh day is Monday. But just want to know whether things are moving. I’m on my period this week, though to be fair, it doesn’t normally impact on my weight. We shall see.

SconNotScone · 21/05/2020 22:15

@JessJonesJumps enjoy the long weekend! Maybe a little of what you fancy? That is my motto 😅

Ploughingthrough · 22/05/2020 02:06

Hi everyone checking in from Singapore. For the second day in a row I weight exactly 60kg or 9 stone 6 so I'm taking that weight now. Going to try and lose 1 more kilo (not necessarily in May!) just to give myself a bit of buffer. I hope to keep my weight between 59-61 kilos now going forward. I think a range is more sensible than a set target or I'll send myself crazy!

SconNotScone · 22/05/2020 08:36

Morning @Ploughingthrough, that sounds like a really sensible mindset. Congrats on reaching 60kg, and good luck on getting that final kg off!

I am down 0.75lb since Monday - hoping that it will amount to a 1-1.5lb loss for the week come Monday.

YummyVeggie · 22/05/2020 09:18

@sconNotScone
Well done on the loss!

I’m Just into the 11 stone category now!
Lost 1.2lb

Ticklemeelmo · 22/05/2020 10:20

Morning all

I've been rather AWOL this week as I fell off the wagon, have been eating quite healthily for meals and out for a few runs but unfortunately supplementing that with chocolate and biscuits every day. I was dreading weighing myself this morning but amazingly I've stayed the same as last week at 10.6. So that's given me a boost to start tracking and trying again from today.

sorry to all those who've also felt a bit flat this past week, congratulations to those who've moved down and also good to hear many have at least stayed at the same weight.

@SneakersandSocks how are you getting on?

JessJonesJumps · 22/05/2020 10:44

Ploughing well done! I think having a target maintenance range sounds sensible. I always struggle with maintaining so it will be great to pick up tips from you. Although I've ages to go before I reach target! Grin
Yummy congrats on getting into the 11s. That's my goal for this month. It's always amazing when you reach a new stone.
Tickle and Scone you are all Star
I love this group because it feels like a collective effort so even though I am eating mini scones this weekend, I know some of you will be keeping the side up Grin

GetTheStartyParted · 22/05/2020 11:18

Morning, well done all. Sounds like most of you are doing well.

I've been quiet as I'm a negative Nellie right now Blush I've been on my period for two weeks and I am bloated from it. Tired and fed up. I have stuck to my diet but not seeing results, which I know is because of water retention but it's making me feel down. I have to keep telling myself that as long as I stick to it then it will eventually make a difference.

Anyway, enough selfindulgent whinging. I hope you're all ready to enjoy the long weekend!

Onceuponatimethen · 22/05/2020 11:23

Morning everyone!

@GetTheStartyParted I ‘put on’ 2kg during my last period but it dropped off again straight after. Sure you will be the same. It will work! It really willFlowers
