Fuck, I've literally ate my way through the last four weeks.

I was already a couple of stone overweight and now I've done loads more damage. All I do is eat and then eat some more.

I'm going to sort my shit out starting tomorrow, anyone else want to join me?

I had a not particularly good weekend, but have girded my loins and gone back to My Fitness Pal. I'm going to do the workout my friend gave me - when I have seen what is going on on the Interwebz.

Incidentally - the friend who gave me the workout is a Beachbody coach, and she told me that I should be eating more calories than MFP reckoned. She said it should be the number of pounds I weigh, times 11, minus 500.

So, for me that is (315 x 11) - 500, which is 2965 calories!! Shock I have been working on around 2000 per day on MFP.

I can't see how I could eat nearly 3000 calories a day and lose weight, even though I weigh so much.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 27/04/2020 13:44

Whaaaaaat? That seems crazy, @SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius (why won’t the ruddy drop down give me your name as an @ option? It’s a flippin long name to type out!). Does is assume you are doing a LOT of exercise? It must do, surely?

For me that gives me just over 1000 cals a day. I’d lose on that for sure but it wouldn’t be sustainable or healthy for me to so in the medium /longer term.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 27/04/2020 13:44

Does IT, not is [facepalm]

JonHammIsMyJamm · 27/04/2020 13:48

Isn’t BeachBody basically an MLM?

OnlyToWin · 27/04/2020 13:48

Seem to have done okay this week. Only major changes have been not eating an Easter egg every night, so not too hard to change calorie intake!!
Next week will be tougher!!

menthollyinsane · 27/04/2020 13:59

@SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius using your calculations gives me 1,194 calories a day. I wouldn't be able to keep that up for long but I would definitely lose weight.

Ok just had 2 bits of chocolate tiffin as well as my healthy lunch. The only good things is that I now don’t have any left. It’s so rare to get a delicious GF treat that I can’t resist. Just rebooked my holiday for October and worked out if I lose 1lb a week I’d still only just be out of the overweight bmi group. I need to start taking this seriously

sociallydistained · 27/04/2020 17:38

Yesterday was a "I'm never satisfied day" today I've done about 1300 calories worth of exercise and I don't feel very hungry?? ... I guess my body balances itself out but I sure don't understand it!
Not having any nice snacks in probably helps as there's no temptation.

OwlinaTree · 27/04/2020 18:45

Hi all, congratulations @lovinglavidaloca, 2lb off is great! I can only dream!! Had an ok day, feeling a bit low but went for a run after work which was great, my first 5k since having children! Big achievement for me. Will now try to keep it up, next target is to do it in 30 mins.

Notlostjustexploring · 27/04/2020 18:54

I'm about to head into the supermarket.

Let's see if I avoid buying junk food...

I'm going to have to, or I'll have to come back here and confess, aren't I!

diege · 27/04/2020 20:53

Evening all!
Do what did you but notso? Anything yummy? 🤪
Just tried that calorie calculation and MFP daily calorie aim is 100 more... Might try and get it down a little.
No 'bad' snacks in though am going to bake done traybake now for the kids....
Hope everyone's ok! Smile

diege · 27/04/2020 20:54

'So, what did you buy' Blush

Minnie123456 · 27/04/2020 22:17

Haven't done too badly today although I had 2 slices of banana bread that DD and I made. Snackwise that is very good for me. I'm currently sitting with a cup of tea trying very hard to resist the sweet things.

OwlinaTree · 27/04/2020 22:22

Ok food day for me, scrambled egg and fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, pea and ham soup and fruit for lunch, salmon, spuds and veg for tea, bit of chocolate watching the telly. Got to do my SW weigh in in the morning, really hoping for a loss this week!!

Fabulodosus · 27/04/2020 22:47

Good luck @owlina !
I've had a good day with no snacking and a bike ride! 😃
I've downloaded peloton for some home workouts as it's free at the moment for 90 days and has some family friendly ones so I'm more likely to fit them in! 🤞
Have a good day tomorrow everyone x

JonHammIsMyJamm · 28/04/2020 08:17

You all sound like you’re getting in the zone now.

Yesterday was pretty good for me. No snacks, sensible meal portions and a bit of exercise. I’m hoping to repeat it today with a run thrown in.

diege · 28/04/2020 08:44

Feeling in the zone here too! Might be something to do with weigh in being 2 days away! 😅

JonHammIsMyJamm · 28/04/2020 09:01

It focuses the mind, for sure!

OwlinaTree · 28/04/2020 12:56

SW weigh in good, 1lb off! Let's hope it stays off for Thursday! Bit grim weather here today.

Notlostjustexploring · 28/04/2020 13:31

diege I stuck to my list, (mostly). There was some off piste sushi I got for my dinner, but I didn't pick up multiple packets of biscuits, or reduced Easter eggs, or massive bags of crisps, so I'm calling it a win!!

Fluffle55 · 28/04/2020 14:34

Yummmm, sushi. I could nail a tray of that right now. And those gyoza things as well.

Fedupandpoor · 28/04/2020 15:38

Back on the intermittent fasting after gorging on chicken and mushroom escalopes, rice and gravy last night Blush

Can anyone recommend some decent scales that don't give different readings if they are not on the EXACT same spot every time? I have to hide mine from the dc so can't leave them out. Preferably cheap and from Amazon or Asda as I already have essential deliveries coming from both places.

menthollyinsane · 28/04/2020 15:49

@Fedupandpoor I returned my scales back for a repair last year as they kept giving different readings. They told me, for accurate readings, scales must be kept on a hard floor and not moved. They have been fine since I followed this advice.

I am SO HUNGRY today. I’m thinking it’s because my period is due. Is that actually a thing?

Can’t stop thinking about dinner later.

Fedupandpoor · 28/04/2020 17:05

@menthollyinsane Ah, ok. I'll have to find a way to disguise them so the kids don't see them 😂
