Fuck, I've literally ate my way through the last four weeks.

I was already a couple of stone overweight and now I've done loads more damage. All I do is eat and then eat some more.

I'm going to sort my shit out starting tomorrow, anyone else want to join me?

I have been fairly disciplined but maybe I should have worked out the calories in homemade pizza before scoffing. I appeared to have put weight on this morning AND dh is planning on a roast dinner tonight.

menthollyinsane

I will not. You don't need to carry that knowledge around with you right now.
I'll tell you if you insist

Well I'm feeling all motivated. I just saw a video of me with the sprogs taken yesterday. That stone I've put on has gone exclusively on my middle. There is now no angle from which I do not look fat!!! It's also more soberingly all on my middle which raises all sort of metabolic risks...

Notlostjustexploring · 26/04/2020 10:04

Imperfecttents a roast is fine, just make sure that there is lots of veg etc. I mean, a plate of meat and vegetables is pretty similar to a salad, right?

What kind of roast? I've not had a roast in ages. Really fancy one now!

Alicatz66 · 26/04/2020 10:08

@diege. I'm a Brummie !! I live in Harborne Smile

lovinglavidaloca · 26/04/2020 10:16

Do you have a pizza oven @ImperfectTents?

JonHammIsMyJamm · 26/04/2020 10:30

Treadmill done ✔️ (w3r1 of c25k)

ImperfectTents · 26/04/2020 10:39

No pizza oven, thank god! Pizza stones which are fairly good. We are having roast beef which is my absolute fav.

ImperfectTents · 26/04/2020 10:40

@JonHammIsMyJamm well done on threadmill. I have a cross trainer which is boring as hell but v effective

menthollyinsane · 26/04/2020 10:40

@Notlostjustexploring it's probably best you don't tell me, I can't be trusted. I shall just keep the idea of mars bar cake a fantasy.

@ImperfectTents we have a cross trainer as well, had it for years think its been used about 10 times if even. I hang duvet covers on it if I can't dry them outsideBlush
Not much happening here, i've had a headache from Friday which I just can't shift so not sleeping great either and don't have the willpower to force myself to go for a walk Sad

menthollyinsane · 26/04/2020 10:53

@Minnie123456 snap with the headache. I've had it since yesterday morning and i slept really badly. Going to walk the dog in a bit to see if it helps. I don't fancy walking but hopefully it will help.

We’ve also got a spin bike and a concept2 rower but I like the treadmill best. I bloody hate the bike, bastard thing and haven’t used the rower for years (DH uses it) Blush. The rower is amazing for all over fitness and toning though if you use it properly and can be arsed. I think once I get further into the running programme, I’ll use the rower on my inbetween days as a bit of cross training to work other muscle groups and prevent injury. That’s the plan anyway. Baby steps.

So far so good on the snacking.

My roast today is leg of lamb, @Notlostjustexploring. Having loads of veg is a good plan in theory but in my house includes roast spuds, carrots and parsnips (roasted with the meat), creamed spinach, cauliflower cheese, not many ‘lite’ options Grin. So I’ll just go for sensible portions and hope for the best.

well done to everybody who lost.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 26/04/2020 11:15

Flowers for the headache sufferers. Have you been drinking enough? Up your fluid intake and have a little salty snack with it (cracker or something). I find aspirin much more effective than paracetamol or ibuprofen for headaches but whatever works for you. I get migraines (have done for years and have prescription meds for them), I find a dose of crushed dispersible aspirin in a can of coke (full fat) helps in a crisis. You can take 3 aspirin as a single dose so long as you have not had any other NSAIDS (ibuprofen, aspirin, naproxen, diclofenac etc) in the last 24hrs and it is a single, one off dose in a 24hr window (take paracetamol if you need other pain relief in the 24hrs after taking that 3 tablet dose). Get well soon folks

menthollyinsane · 26/04/2020 11:20

@JonHammIsMyJamm thanks for that. I probably do need to drink more water so shall go down a pint. I have aspirin in the cupboard I think.

menthollyinsane · 26/04/2020 11:40

I found an Easter egg last night, I ate the Easter egg last night. I'm going to make a veg soup today to try and undo that. It was a rolo one, all gold and twinkly. Didn't touch the sides.
Enjoy your roast dinners, I would kill for one right now.

lovinglavidaloca · 26/04/2020 13:51

5.5m cycle with the kids - doesn’t seem long but burned 354 calories!

Lighthearted (sort of) but I resent them having to have their exercise every day because I need to accompany them and can’t get back into running.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 26/04/2020 14:27

Well done on the cycling, @lovinglavidaloca. The exercise restrictions make things difficult if you are supervising kids’ exercise too. Can you tie your runs in with shop visits, pharmacy trips or other ‘essential’ journeys?

myfuckingfreezer · 26/04/2020 14:42

@lovinglavidaloca why can't you run at a different time in the day? Or have you no one to watch them?

lovinglavidaloca · 26/04/2020 15:21

I’m really trying to only go out ‘on foot’ once per day so we tend to go a walk or a cycle and if I need to nip to a shop I go in the car.

@myfuckingfreezer just because it would mean the kids being inside all day with no exercise other than the garden and that doesn’t seem fair. It’s only me here during the day to take them out for their exercise.

ImperfectTents · 26/04/2020 15:40

@lovinglavidaloca could you run alongside them on bikes?

Fabulodosus · 26/04/2020 17:14

@JonHammIsMyJamm well done on keeping c25k going!!! I never manage to get that far. I hate running 🤣 I might give it another go! I had a great long bike ride yesterday. I've also been avoiding the C2! I did 1km plus more faffing... I really should use it every day I don't go out on the bike! Monday's PE lesson this wk is going to be setting up a circuit session with the kids in the garden using whatever is lying around 🤣 I thought if they get into it they'll probably pester me and make me do it! 🤞

Fabulodosus · 26/04/2020 19:49

@diege I absolutely LOVE that dress!!! Gorgeous!
