Fuck, I've literally ate my way through the last four weeks.

I was already a couple of stone overweight and now I've done loads more damage. All I do is eat and then eat some more.

I'm going to sort my shit out starting tomorrow, anyone else want to join me?

that cinnamon and apple breakfast delight sounds to die for. Beats my single crumpet.
Had to laugh at the bra chat, I have one which (just about) still fits, and I noticed last night that there are holes in the straps, it's clinging on by a thread! But I am not buying a new one, I have a whole drawer full of lovely ones which no longer fit.
Good job most days I don't bother to put one at atm hey!

Notlostjustexploring · 25/04/2020 12:58

Jamm shit, sorry!! I was actually going to suggest a walk, but, ahem, not necessarily a goer.

Tigerbear those sound fantastic!!

I suppose we've all walked different paths to get here, and unfortunately here is a rather uncomfortable time to be, and we do what we must to get through it I suppose. Might just take the mirrors down in the meantime...

I wonder if it might be a good idea if we all share things that help us ease our worries and anxieties, if anyone has anything non food and drink related that works? Unfortunately my tried and tested relaxers are netball, mass, having the house to myself and chatting with close friends over coffee (video calls just make me sad). So I currently have no real outlet.

I'm going to attempt to go for a short jog this evening, as I know that will make everything feel better, and I've got some Les Mills videos saved on my Facebook that I might attempt this evening also. (Might, may, possibly, honestly I need to just commit!!)

It also feels like a very kind thread, which sounds like exactly what everyone needs right now.x

Notlostjustexploring · 25/04/2020 12:59

I was actually about to buy a new bra before lockdown started, as I'd been slowly losing weight and gaining leanness, so my cups were getting loose.

Sadly my cups now runneth over...

JonHammIsMyJamm · 25/04/2020 13:31

It’s ok @Notlostjist exploring, you weren’t to know Smile. I know what you mean about a kind thread. It does feel nice and friendly. It’s definitely welcome in these strange times.

@tigerbear, it’s a difficult time to implement a lifestyle change. In some ways, the reduced access to cake shops, coffee shops and treats is helpful but I’m not sure it outweighs the urge to eat our feelings, reduced exercise opportunities and baking/cooking as a distraction. It’s definitely 2 steps forward, 1 step back for me. Now that I’m here on the thread, I’m thinking more about what I shovel in and that means that I’m shovelling mindfully and eating slightly less. I’m definitely moving more than pre-PTCEDYFB. I could definitely do more and hope to get to that point soon but at the moment I’m trying to be pleased that I’m heading in the right direction with mindful shovelling.

diege · 25/04/2020 14:43

I'm definite moving more post -thread, and really trying to embrace a change to the way I'm eating. I wasn't feeling well with all the sugar, sleeping poorly, and not fitting into my clothes. I'd got to the point where the pleasure I'd get (still get) from eating a pack of jam donuts no longer outweighed the bad effects of eating them.... It was a lose-lose!

Stress-wise, seeing my partner (we live apart) helped a lot, but obviously not an option at the moment. I find reading a big release (currently reading Candice Carty-Williams' 'Queenie' - brilliant! Fiction is a great distraction, as is my daily consumption of Walking Dead episodes 😆

diege · 25/04/2020 14:45

Can I be nosey and ask what part of the country everyone's from? 😊
I'm Welsh (and work in Wales) but living in the North-West of England.

AutumnNymph · 25/04/2020 14:56

Hey all, i am checking back in. Last week has been a bit up and down - both DD and DH were unwell and I have gained back the weight I seemingly lost - back on it from today though. How has everyone else been? I haven't RTFT but will catch up later today.

@diege I am a Londoner living in the burbs.

helenb706 · 25/04/2020 15:25

Hi all, I live in Hertfordshire... try the Fortunately podcast on BBC sounds as a distraction. Lots of back episodes and very relatable to/funny.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 25/04/2020 15:31

Nice to see you back, @AutumnNymph Smile. My attempts at PTCEDYFB have been patchy.

I’m in the South West, @diege.

sushinelove · 25/04/2020 16:04

Starving today and trying really hard not to eat shite. Low carb is the only way I can lose weight, I've got absolutely no willpower where chocolate is concerned. Can't get my jeans tied and refuse to buy any more. I'm determined they will fit me again

menthollyinsane · 25/04/2020 16:49

@diege I am french but moved to Kent 20 years ago.

I was supposed to run today but haven’t. I did walk the dog though, it’s not exactly aerobic though.

I’ve had two beers, two wines, half a bag of Sensations chicken & thyme, shared a tub of humous and a box of breadsticks with DH, a kitkat, a cereal bar, toast & jam AND I’m about to have dinner. I’m the Very Hungry Caterpillar today. I’m wearing a skin tight vest (gym clothes, oh the irony) so I can see my burgeoning midriff roll in all its glory.

I’ll be better tomorrow.

OwlinaTree · 25/04/2020 20:23

Sounds lush Jon! I've had BBQ this evening, a burger, ribs, sweetcorn and coleslaw. Nice. Had a run, best one yet at 4.5km, going to try for 5km on Monday. Took the kids for a bike ride which they really enjoyed. Kids in bed now so going to chill out and relax, probably have a little bit of chocolate!

JonHammIsMyJamm · 25/04/2020 20:25

You’ve definitely got the weather for a BBQ, @OwlinaTree. Enjoy Smile. Add risotto and a slice of chocolate and cherry cake to my list. I’m going to stop now, I’m already regretting my gobbling.

diege · 25/04/2020 20:33

That food sounds amazing jonhann!
I know what you mean about the tight vest roll thing 😩
owl lots of exercise there! Enjoy the chocolate. How much is a little bit? Contemplating a creme egg here after a really nice vegi curry....I don't technically have enough left in my MFP calorie count ...May have to have an early night!

lovinglavidaloca · 25/04/2020 20:38

Can I join you? I’m on another thread but I think the more support the better!!

Started on 06/04/20 at 11 stone 7 then weighed in at 11 stone 4 the following Monday. No loss the next week and we will see what this week brings!!

I’m aiming for under 1300 per day. Some days I’m way under, some days I’m around 1500 or more. Am working out with Youtube every weekday plus a walk every day. Aiming for 10 stone to begin with but would like less in the long run.

OwlinaTree · 25/04/2020 20:55

Just to clarify I didn't do any bike riding just the kids. I walked along after them!

JonHammIsMyJamm · 25/04/2020 21:01

Hi @lovinglavidaloca Smile. Of course you can join us, we’re not all brilliant at this dieting lark though so bear with us...

ImperfectTents · 25/04/2020 21:37

Homemade pizza tonight 743 kcal according to my fitness pal and that's before I added olives! Maybe I used up some calories making the sodding things

menthollyinsane · 26/04/2020 08:40

@lovinglavidaloca thanks for joining us, I see that you started on the 6th so Monday must be your weigh day. Good luck for tomorrow, hopefully the scales would have shifted.

I'm planning on being good today but that often falls out of bed unfortunately.

No big fat roast dinner for me today, jacket potato and salad instead.

How's everyone doing?

helenb706 · 26/04/2020 08:44

Oh dear... I guess you all know what I mean. I'm fine during the day...evenings are my downfall. Still, admit and commit, to a better day today.

menthollyinsane · 26/04/2020 08:51

@helenb706 that's me too.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 26/04/2020 09:02

I’m going to try and do better today.

I’ve had a sensible portion of alpen for breakfast and I’m going to get on the treadmill when DH gets up (it’s his turn for the lie in). There is a roast in the offing (lamb) but I’ll not eat again until the roast and I’ll be sensible with my portions, as well as laying off the booze. I have a few domestic jobs to do today too, so they’ll keep me away from the kitchen.

Notlostjustexploring · 26/04/2020 09:23

Good luck today everyone!!!

I too start off well, then it goes to pieces around 5pm...

Why I decided to put mars bars on the shopping list to make mars bar cake I don't know. Not made the cake with the kids yet, but I have eaten half the bloody mars bars.

menthollyinsane · 26/04/2020 09:49

@Notlostjustexploring Mars Bar cake? Tell me more 😃
