Fuck, I've literally ate my way through the last four weeks.

I was already a couple of stone overweight and now I've done loads more damage. All I do is eat and then eat some more.

I'm going to sort my shit out starting tomorrow, anyone else want to join me?

I CANT STOP BLOODY SCOFFING!!! I dunno what's going on, I've never had so little will power before! I need a kick up the arse. Or someone to slap the food from my hand

I don't even know how I'm doing it, we don't have any 'naughty' food in!!! Last night I just started eating chocolate spread from the jar... For no reason. Then I'd had too much sweet so needed some savoury but because we have no crisps or anything, started scooping the peanut butter.

WhAt Is WrOnG wItH mE!!!!

Hi everyone i am loving being on this thread but not sure how to reply to folk. I am a veteran of MANY diet campaigns so I have a few words of advice.

If you do fall off the wagon and fall face down into a bowl of coco pops, don't beat yourself up. There is so much going on right now and comfort eating is hard programmed into women from an early age. Blaming yourself will spiral into a misery binge. Start fresh.

Weight loss takes time and its boring , don't set yourself up to fail by setting unrealistic goals. Think months not days.

Beware the plateau, I have been really good this week and the scales are looking good but it is probably mostly water loss. I fully expect to not lose anything next week and that is ok.

I could go on but I don't want to be a big lecturey know it all. I really want us all to do this

JonHammIsMyJamm · 20/04/2020 08:54

@Hileni, it’s the lockdown madness. We’ve all turned to swivel-eyed pigdogs with it.

I’ve decided on just the eggs. I’m hoping that the protein will fill me up sufficiently until lunch. Also on my third cup of tea since 7.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 20/04/2020 08:58

@ImperfectTents, just use the @ key and then the name of the user you want to reply to, eg @JonHammIsMyJamm. It will automatically bold their name and if they’ve opted in (I haven’t) it will send them a notification email to let the user know that you’ve replied to them in a thread Smile.

ImperfectTents · 20/04/2020 09:01

@hileni chalk it up and move on. The reason I am doing this is I had got to the stage of compulsively eating bread and could merrily eat most of a loaf. It's not about enjoyment or hunger it's about that hole inside that needs stuffed with food to make us stop fretting or thinking.

menthollyinsane · 20/04/2020 09:02

@ImperfectTents thanks for that, you are right. I've just moved on from my nighttime binge and am just looking at the bigger picture.

To reply to individual posters type @ and then their user name. If you are on the app, once you type @ I automatically get a list of the posters and just pick which one you want.

@Hileni you sound just like me.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 20/04/2020 09:15

@menthollyinsane, I use the mobile site and get the same list.

menthollyinsane · 20/04/2020 09:26

@JonHammIsMyJamm weirdly I can only use the app, if I use the site on mobile or iPad it constantly crashes and drives me nuts. I don't seem to get any problems with the app thankfully.

OP posts:
JonHammIsMyJamm · 20/04/2020 09:29

That is weird. I went through a phase of crashing and reloading but it’s ok now Smile.

Morning all!
Had a healthy day yesterday - until DP and I cracked open the Lindt rabbit at about 10pm 😬
But we’d been carb free all day, so trying to convince myself it didn’t count!
Had breakfast bites - a new thing DP made, and def recommend: onion, pepper, spinach, mozzarella, chopped up and put into Yorkshire pudding tins, then add beaten egg, cook for about 20 mins, then they come out like omelette muffins!

Stuffed peppers, chicken and quinoa for dinner.

Did a workout and a long walk, and going to try to do the same workout today, and a run.
My legs are killing me though.

Finally got weighed - am 9 stone 3, heaviest I’ve been.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 20/04/2020 09:36

Your DP is quite experimental, isn’t he (apols if not a he!) Grin. They sound nice though, will have to give them a go.

YoureMyWifeNowDave · 20/04/2020 09:46

I’ve tried to be relatively good this weekend and still managed to be 2 pounds heavier this morning than I was on Thursday! Doesn’t help that the house is full of chocolate and cakes and the kids are asking to bake every day!

Queenoftheashes · 20/04/2020 09:48

Can I join please ? I’m short and 11 stone 10.5 - I start every day healthy af and end up eating “just one more” bit of toast all evening. Sometimes with cheese. Anyone cracked the secret of filling “the hole” with something other than food? I used to have cigarettes but now it’s really just food.

menthollyinsane · 20/04/2020 09:59

@Queenoftheashes of course you can join us, happy to have you. There is a spreadsheet if you would like to add yourself. Our first weigh in will be on Thursday.

@JonHammIsMyJamm 😀he is indeed!
He’s very supportive, which is good, as he’s the sort of person who can eat and eat, and never put on weight, so he’s trying to find new healthy stuff to make, rather than the breads and cakes he’s been making over the past few weeks.

diege · 20/04/2020 10:32

Just popping to say hi, and a welcome to the newbies! Work is crazy, and dcs also reluctant to get back into school work 😩 so may only be able to post sporadically.
Overnight oats again today and 2 cups of tea, so hoping the stress doesn't tip over into a sugar fest!

cashmerecardigans · 20/04/2020 10:49

Feel really bloated today, I think the knock on effects of a week and a half off work, I've eaten and drunk way too much.
I was aiming to stay off food until lunchtime but have just eaten half a hot cross bun with loads of butter.
Not a good start to the week, onwards and upwards is the only way to go

Rumandcoke41 · 20/04/2020 10:50

I've had banana on toast with cinnamon sprinkled over for breakfast, I've got toasted veg wraps and a Greek yogurt for dinner and DH is making spag bol for tea tonight. I'm at work today but plan to do a workout when I get home and a dog walk to get my steps in. Aiming for 10,000 a day but then I read 15,000 was better if weight loss is the goal! Shock
So far I feel I'm doing well, I'm in the zone and we haven't got much leftover from Easter, so less temptations!
Determined this time to lose, got a wedding in October that I need to be slimmer for or I'll regret it when I see the photos!

menthollyinsane · 20/04/2020 11:08

@cashmerecardigans you did well only eating half of a hot cross bun. That's progress in my book

Working and homeschooling 6 children singlehandledly, @diege. I’m even more impressed that you’re on the PTCEDYFB wagon now!

I’ve got an enormous craving for something sweet now. Bums. Not helped by my autocorrect changing that to ‘buns’ Hmm. I think I’m going to have to get some options hot chocolate or similar in to give me that sweet hit without taking ten steps back.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 20/04/2020 12:29

Right. Time for soup and then take the dog out. We’ve got pie filled with the Sunday roast leftovers and a roll of frozen puff pastry for dinner. Not diet food but needs using up and portion control should keep me in check and be fine.

FAQs · 20/04/2020 12:42

I’m so hungry Shock but eating adequate food. When I lost weight a few years ago my stomach seemed to reduce and need less food to feel full, I’m really hoping that kicks in soon!

JonHammIsMyJamm · 20/04/2020 12:51

It usually takes me about a week-10 days to acclimatise to smaller portions and stop feeling hungry, @FAQs. Hope it kicks in for you soon.

sociallydistained · 20/04/2020 13:23

I had successfully been fasting 16 hours for the past week ... however, bit of a bleep yesterday when I ended up eating something really late 🙈 All fine calorie wise, I've made room for it but I'm fasting until 1.30pm today and I've spent all morning just willing it to be 1.30 😂 ... nearly there! I think the night before's blip made it harder again! However, I'm already feeling really good for it.

I haven't been to the shops in two weeks so have found it a lot easier to lose weight without loads of food around! It's been quite fun making random meals and using my freezer! ... must go to the supermarket tomorrow as do need fresh food and really craving egg and fish now! I am a bit worried about snack temptations though!
