Anyone else been scoffing non stop since lockdown?

Fuck, I've literally ate my way through the last four weeks.

I was already a couple of stone overweight and now I've done loads more damage. All I do is eat and then eat some more.

I'm going to sort my shit out starting tomorrow, anyone else want to join me?

OMG, just thought I’d share this!
DP just made this to go with dinner of chicken curry: cloud bread!
It’s like a cross between a Yorkshire pudding and a savoury meringue, and is amazing!!
No flour!
It’s just egg, cream cheese, baking powder, salt, pepper and nigella seeds.

Anyone else been scoffing non stop since lockdown?
TheVeryThing · 18/04/2020 19:25

That looks amazing tigerbear.
Went for a long walk earlier and then did a short workout.
I had veggie sausages and a kale & tomato thingy for dinner so feeling virtuous now but will probably be starving later.

hazandduck · 18/04/2020 19:50

The shakshuka sounds yum! Going to give that a crack at some point.

I’ve tried putting details on the spreadsheet but didn’t work on my phone, will try on the computer later.

I’ve done Chinese fake away which is just chicken, veg and black bean stir fry noodles with prawn crackers 😄 I could really use some satay in my life though!

My downfall is also sugar I would love to actually kick the habit but equally I do love a cup of tea and a biscuit, I don’t smoke or drink or anything any more so I feel like I deserve a little indulgence. Just don’t know when to draw the bloody line lol.

OwlinaTree · 18/04/2020 20:02

I read that article Mediumred very interesting. I could definitely relate to some of what she said, diet and weight and dress size seems to be so central to female lives at times. I don't judge anyone else on this anything like the way I judge myself.

redavocado · 18/04/2020 20:04

Another sugar addict here! My main problem is snacking when I'm bored so I'm trying really hard to keep myself occupied. I've rediscovered reading and have a new found love of gardening... assuming my seeds actually do something!

tigerbear I LOVE shakshuka! I'd totally forgotten about it but that's definitely on the menu for next week! Thanks for the reminder. Grin

Today has been ok so far but I see Gu in the very near future...

tigerbear · 18/04/2020 20:40

I reckon the Shakshuka and cloud bread would work really well together!

Oh no, it’s that time of the evening when mini eggs and Easter eggs are calling! 😬

diege · 18/04/2020 20:58

I enjoyed the article too mediumred, thanks for posting the link!

That Hotel Chocolat box is calling me...It'll be my first big test since joining the group 😩 Maybe just one choc caramel bunny and a few choc drops? 🤔 I wonder if we'll all fall off the wagon for a night after our Thursday weigh in? Fond memories of queuing up with several SW members at the chippy on a Monday eve after weigh in! 🤣

Fabulodosus · 19/04/2020 03:01

Hi! A bit late but I'm going to join in... def need it after the last 4 wks and get my act together again!

OwlinaTree · 19/04/2020 08:17

Ended up having a curry last night and a couple of gins to celebrate the birthday. Wasn't too oily though! Half a naan bread with it. Was lovely SmileGin. Back on track today - although the weather looks much better, we might have a BBQ 🤪

Onthebrink67 · 19/04/2020 08:34

Not a great day yesterday may have succumbed to some Easter chocolate but not a disaster and a new sunny day today

feelingnervousnow · 19/04/2020 08:53

Day 4 already and guess what!!!!! You know when you lie in bed and when you touch your tummy you feel like it maybe, just maybe feels a teeny weeny bit smaller? Well that was me this morning. Am spurred on for another good day today Smile

tigerbear · 19/04/2020 09:19

@feelingnervousnow that’s the BEST feeling! Congrats! Sadly I’m a long way from that!
I refrained from the mini eggs last night though, so that’s something! Smile

ListenLinda · 19/04/2020 09:32

Started today off well with a breakfast of two weetabix topped with fruit. Half an hour later... 2 slices of toast and butter.
Boredom eating is my absolute downfall. Must be better for the rest of the day!

menthollyinsane · 19/04/2020 09:45

Morning, it's day 4 already

Decided to have a bit of a sort my self out session.

Hair mask ✅
Face mask ✅
Full body scrub ✅

Full body moisturised ✅

I'm exhausted now.

menthol you're an inspiration! I donned some new sandals a few days ago and shuddered at my hoof-like dried heels. Sunny here today (n.w England) so May start some 'light' prep. It would be so good to fit into my summer dresses and not feel the need to wear my bloody cardigan over everything!
Overnight oats await though I really fancy some toast and butter like Listenlinda 🤣
Hear's to a restrained and virtuous Sunday!

diege · 19/04/2020 09:51

Here's to - sorry, grammar pedant! Blush

JonHammIsMyJamm · 19/04/2020 10:31

Phwoar@tigerbear, your cloud bread looks immense.

I’m impressed by the maintenance, @menthollyinsane! I’ve had a shower, washed my hair, brushed my teeth and moisturised my mush.

I’ve not had breakfast yet. I’m eking it out, so that I don’t peak too soon and end up eating an extra meal Hmm. Plus, the dog honked everywhere this morning, which put me off eating for a bit (he’s absolutely fine). DH is doing a roast chicken today, which will be gorgeous and there will be loads of as he always goes OTT with the sides, so I need to watch out for my portion control there.

Happy Sunday all Smile

JonHammIsMyJamm · 19/04/2020 10:32

Balls, I mucked up the formatting there @tigerbear when complimenting your cloud bread

menthollyinsane · 19/04/2020 10:46

@JonHammIsMyJamm I haven't heard the work mush for years.

Wow mentholly sounds like a lot of pampering! I'm still in my pjs, just about to have cuppa number 3. Had breakfast, omelette with mushrooms, tomatoes, ham and cheese. Yum yum. BBQ is about to be fired up by enthusiastic DH, so looks like BBQ for tea, this is just going to be loads of meat and corn on the cob by the looks of the fridge. Might try to just have fruit between now and then. Also want to have a run this pm.

Shimy · 19/04/2020 11:09

Those of you who eat scrambled eggs/omelettes for breakfast, how many eggs do you cook?

Rumandcoke41 · 19/04/2020 11:15

@tigerbear I've never heard of Shakshuka before but it sounds like something I'd like, I'll give it a go sometime!

This is the first thread I've actively been on for years, I'm normally just a reader rather than a poster, but I'm hoping this will make me accountable for my weight loss so I'll stick at it!
I need to sort out notifications...

Snacking and sweet stuff is my downfall, especially when I'm at home! I'm logging everything in mfp and using my Fitbit to try to hit my step goals.
Plan today is to take the dog for a long walk, hopefully read my book and relax later, as I feel like I've been on the go all week, DH is cooking Sunday dinner tonight and then I may have a bath/pamper before bed as I'm back to work tomorrow.
Have a good Sunday everyone!

LimeJellyforBrains · 19/04/2020 12:39

Hi everyone! I would like to join please. Was already pretty overweight, but this lockdown has been a disaster for me healthwise so far. My job, which was mildly active, accounted for pretty much all my exercise, and i can't do it at the moment so I am barely moving at all, apart from to and from the kitchen.... My starting weight is 13st 5lb (although I know my scales underweigh) and I'm 5'4". I'd like to aim for 12st to start with.

diege · 19/04/2020 12:50

shimy I've been thinking the same re omelettes..I'll probably use 2 although they are 'free' on SW (unless that's changed?) so could get away with 3.
Welcome limejelly! Add yourself to the SS. My commute to work, while train-based, involved a 40 min walk each way, and my steps have reduced from over 20,000 a day to under 500 😩
Feeling really hungry now, so thinking cheese omelette and salad....water to drink as every time I have a cup of tea or coffee I NEED a biscuit. I'm so weak!
