Anyone else been scoffing non stop since lockdown?

Fuck, I've literally ate my way through the last four weeks.

I was already a couple of stone overweight and now I've done loads more damage. All I do is eat and then eat some more.

I'm going to sort my shit out starting tomorrow, anyone else want to join me?

AutumnNymph how exciting to be planning a trip for Diwali- I'll bet you'll rock that sari! x
feelingnervous I'm just the same! I'm counting tins of tinned spaghetti and soup as free, and have always turned a blind eye too to ketchup, milk in tea etc , and it's not turned out too badly in the past! I'm forcing salad down me when I can but have historically left at the side of my plate!
Possible issue.....a parcel of delicious Hotel Chocolat Easter goodies has just been delivered, courtesy of my lovely boyfriend....Can I really eat a bit a day?! Confused I'm passing it around virtually!

Aww, thanks for spreadsheet autumnnymph, so great to see our goals there in black and white. I skipped breakfast and have done Joe Wickes and my 500 skips (nearly 4 mins faster than last Saturday, yay) but I feel very guilty about leftovers when we are trying to make food last. I had made too much rice last night so have just had it stir fried now with some veg and tinned salmon, it was delicious, but must have been quite calorific.

Ooh, diege, what a lovely treat, if you could just limit yourself to a wee bit a day, that would be a lovely treat/reward for being good the rest of the time and you wouldn’t feel too bad (we do need treats, after all, especially in lockdown)

Rumandcoke41 · 18/04/2020 14:19

Spreadsheet looks amazing @AutumnNymph !
I've added my goal weight, who knows, if I get there I might change it as ideally I'd love to be 10 stone!
I've taken to dog on a big walk this morning determined to get my steps in, working later so it'll definitely be over 10,000 by the time I'm finished, just got to resist eating all the biscuits when I get in. Grin
Had oats for breakfast and an omlette with chicken and salad for lunch.
I've promised my DD we'd make fudge later.....

menthollyinsane · 18/04/2020 15:09

I couldn't get myself motivated this morning, I sat on the sofa feeling sorry for myself as I wanted chocolate. Anyway, I made myself take the dog out for a walk then came home and sorted the house out so am feeling a little more positive now.

Had a cheese and onion sandwich for lunch and loads of coffee. I feel hungry again now but I guess feeling hungry means I'm not pigging out on junk.

I read this moving and well written piece earlier, which really spoke to me

www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2020/apr/18/ive-been-on-a-diet-since-i-was-four-can-i-finally-make-peace-with-my-body

JonHammIsMyJamm · 18/04/2020 15:18

Spreadsheet looks fab, @AutumnNymph.

Today is going better. Sensible breakfast and a 75min dog walk plus a minor barney with DH which must’ve burned some rage calories, surely?

I have got two chocolate loaf cakes in the oven though. One for the freezer and one for eating. They are quite small and easy to sensibly portion for the family though, so all is not lost.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 18/04/2020 15:21

I’ve added my goal weight to the spreadsheet. I’ve got just over a stone to drop, about 16lbs.

feelingnervousnow · 18/04/2020 15:38

@menthollyinsane well done getting yourself out an about. Hunger is your friend!! Think how happy you’ll be getting into bed tonight if you’ve had a good day xx
@diege not sure about the chocolate. I’m an all or nothing type. As soon as they were open they’d be gone. I’d set myself a day to have them. Maybe in 2 weeks or something to give myself time to get into the zone. Now is not the time for chocolate. Hopefully you’ve a little more restraint than me!

diege · 18/04/2020 15:40

mediumred yes will have teeny tiny chocolate treats with my bedtime cuppa every day #whoamIkidding. Have always given myself treats, otherwise I turn into the crazy sugarbeast and eat whole packets of biscuits etc. The box is hidden away, although by me so...
rumandcoke you've inspired me with the omelette idea for tea! Will have with chicken and the dreaded salad like you!
Have just done a Davina dvd with dd2 (well a 20 min section) then 20 mins of jo wicks (new to me). Knackered!

I'd be interested to hear what people's food weaknesses are? I can leave alcohol, savoury stuff etc but can't resist sugar - so it's chocolate and biscuits for me. How about everyone else?

diege · 18/04/2020 15:42

feelingnervous I like your style! I think I'll have the choc egg sandwich maybe in a fortnight, in one go, but will try and be restrained with the rest!

tigerbear · 18/04/2020 16:00

OMG @diege that load of goodies looks amazing!
And @JonHammIsMyJamm am jealous of your chocolate loaf!
I’ve been restrained all day - had shakkshuka for breakfast/brunch, no lunch, now craving food, anything!!
Trying to motivate myself to go out for a walk/jog, but legs are killing from yesterday

Rumandcoke41 · 18/04/2020 16:03

@diege I like to put the chicken and the salad inside the omlette and roll it up like a burrito, I don't why but I prefer it that way Grin Well done on the double workout!! Have you used Fitness Blender on YouTube before? They have thousands of different workouts all free!
I follow James Smith PT on Instagram, he has a no nonsense/no bullshit approach to losing weight and swears a lot so right up my street! Grin

OnlyToWin · 18/04/2020 16:20

Sugar all the way for me too!
Would love to be able to kick the habit - I know people who have and they look great.

Had a restrained day today - this thread has definitely made me pause before making choices - thank you! Smile

menthollyinsane · 18/04/2020 16:33

@diege my food weaknesses are chocolate, cake and biscuits. I can take or leave savoury food. I wish that I could be one of those people that could just have one chocolate or one biscuit as a treat whilst dieting but oh no, not me. I only have to taste it and I will binge Grin

diege · 18/04/2020 16:53

tigerbear sorry for my ignorance, but what's shakssuka? 🤔
rumandcoke I'll check out that Fitness Blender thing on youtube. My free trial with Davina's Own Your Goals ends soon and too pricey to pay for, for me!
onlytowin I gave sugar up for 3 months years ago, on the advice of my GP (I had persistent thrush 😩). Thrush went, felt great, but the sugar won as the thought of never having chocolate again too much!
menthol same here. No problem at all eating a whole packet of chocolate digestives - I only stop when the packet has gone, never feel sick! Blush

tigerbear · 18/04/2020 17:01

@diege Shakshuka is a dish you can cook with all the ingredients in the same large frying pan: chopped fresh or tinned tomatoes, peppers, spinach, onion, garlic, with spices such as cumin, paprika, cayenne, turmeric - fry it all, then once everything is done, make a few holes in the mixture, and crack eggs into it (we only had one each), wait til eggs are done, then eat!

Really easy and comforting.

waytheleaveswork · 18/04/2020 17:01

Have joined - great idea.

Tbh I'll be really proud of myself even if I can drop just a few lbs in such a stressful time.

sociallydistained · 18/04/2020 17:35

Calorie counting and using MFP and Fitbit to track has really given me some focus this week.

I've been doing Les Mills on demand workouts and today I burned 911 calories (have a myzone heart rate monitor) as I was on one doing a full bodycombat class and half a body Attack back to back ... gonna have an extra nice tea tonight lol.

AutumnNymph · 18/04/2020 17:49

Sugar is my downfall too 😩 DH is constantly amazed by the amount of sugary stuff I can put away without feeling the teensiest bit sick.

I have tried to kick the habit so many times but just don’t have the will to see it through. I freely admit sugar is my master.

Been okayish so far today , hopefully I will see it through.

FreckledLeopard · 18/04/2020 17:51

Had my 222 calorie shake for breakfast, 400 calorie lunch and then walked 5.6 miles. Have a 500 calorie dinner planned - fish and potato tray bake with pesto and then an ice lolly planned for dessert. Just craving sugary crap and Hope cravings will go in due course.

menthollyinsane · 18/04/2020 17:54

@sociallydistained bloody hell thats awesome. You deserve a really nice tea after all that. ⭐️

@AutumnNymph my dh is also amazed by the amount of chocolate I can consume in one go, like you I never feel sick. I literally have no cut off point. If I went into a chocolate eating competition I wound win hands down.

Some lovely meals on here, I will try the shakshuka, sounds lovely.

We are having a takeaway for tea as it's DH birthday, yum yum!

Minnie123456 · 18/04/2020 18:31

@AutumnNymph the spreadsheet looks fab, i've entered my target weight in lbs. Looking to loose about 3 stone to start to bring me to 10stone 7lb as I was happy at this weight before, although according to my height I should weigh between just over 7 stone- just over 8 stone. I don't remember ever weighing that lol

menthollyinsane · 18/04/2020 18:37

Lots of us on the spreadsheet. All we have to do is stick to it. Sounds easy doesn't it. 🤣
