Anyone else been scoffing non stop since lockdown?

Fuck, I've literally ate my way through the last four weeks.

I was already a couple of stone overweight and now I've done loads more damage. All I do is eat and then eat some more.

I'm going to sort my shit out starting tomorrow, anyone else want to join me?

Please can I join. I’m finding my anxiety isn’t helping my appalling eating (and drinking) habits. I live alone and have had no motivation to cook myself healthy meals. Don’t really have much of an appetite but have just been mindlessly eating rubbish.
This thread has made me smile - thanks for that! - and I actually feel a little bit excited. Awesome spreadsheet - I’ll get on the scales and add myself to it.

menthollyinsane · 18/04/2020 08:07

@AutumnNymph well done on your fabulous upgraded spreadsheet

My dh sent me a video of myself yesterday. He had the best of intentions, but Jesus Christ.

I’ve been deluding myself. What a mess I’ve become. I’d lost over a stone before lockdown and I’ve easily packed it back on.

So now starts the attempt to lose it. Again.

Please add yourself to the spreadsheet.

Good luck

Happy Saturday everyone!

Had an ok eating day yesterday, but DP's birthday today and it's homemade beef pie, chips and rhubarb cake. I'll try and offset it with a long walk (100 miles should do it....).

How are people doing?

diege · 18/04/2020 09:05

Morning everyone! Smile Hope we all have relatively successful days, though done of the treats mentioned sound lovely! Rubarb cake sounds amazing! Grin
Have a Quorn cottage pie planned for lunch, and possibly salad for tea....Someone (dc 5 I think) have nicked one of my two stashed creme eggs 😩 and I'm not yet at the stage where I'm grateful for that!

HairyMaclary · 18/04/2020 09:28

AutumnNymph - fantastic update to the spreadsheet! I’ve added my goal weight and tried to be realistic about it, not right at the lower end of a healthy weight which is where I’ve aimed for previously!

So, so day yesterday. Wine and donuts were consumed but this was ‘mindfully’ and at less rubbish than I normally graze on. Healthy meals all round but DS1 was cooking in the evening and dropped the meal just as he was putting it into the oven for the final 20 mins - he was v upset and we ate pasta and tomato sauce instead. Not so healthy but necessary in the circumstances!

feelingnervousnow · 18/04/2020 10:00

Good day yesterday for me. Am kind of doing slimming world though but am certainly not having enough fruit/salad/veg. I don’t want to though. I’m hoping it just works without!!
Up for another good day today!

TheVeryThing · 18/04/2020 10:56

Thanks for the spreadsheet AutumnNymph. There are few problems in life that can’t be sorted with a good spreadsheet!
Bit of a carby breakfast but determined to do better for the rest of the day. Might try a good diary to help with motivation.

OwlinaTree · 18/04/2020 11:14

Morning all. Omelette with mushroom, tomato, ham and cheese for breakfast and a pear. I am stuffed! Hoping for a BBQ for DH birthday today and going to make a cake in a bit. Going to try not to eat any lunch as BBQ will be early evening (if it stops raining of course)

OwlinaTree · 18/04/2020 11:17

I've updated the spread sheet. Only aiming for a few lb off to stay with, I'll change it when I get there if I think I can!

diege · 18/04/2020 11:24

Thanks for the updated SS -AutumnNymph 😊 Will update with my target weight when I've decided it!
Feelingnervousnow I'm the same with roughly following SW but can't be arsed with adding the 'speedy' veg/fruit so just following the old school Green days.
Hoping for a pound off a week which is my usual pattern on any diet. Going to take me months but I'm feeling motivated! Smile

feelingnervousnow · 18/04/2020 11:47

@diege glad I’m not the only salad dodger on here. I too am sticking with the old plan. Am counting muller lights and super noodles as free which I’m not sure they really are now!
Last time it worked...we’ll see if 13years on and two kids later it still works!!

CayrolBaaaskin · 18/04/2020 11:49

Me too - I’m huge and I’m going to get diabetes. Can I join plz

menthollyinsane · 18/04/2020 11:59

@CayrolBaaaskin come on in! There is a spreadsheet if you would like to add yourself.

Morning all! Today is another day! I didn’t have a perfect day yesterday, but my goal every day is to be better than I was the day before. And silence my inner greedy bitch! And, I’m going to set a goal of drinking more water. I would like to be 2lbs less of a fatty on Thursday.
Does anyone find the wheels fall off completely at the weekend? They’ve always been my downfall, good all week, undo it all at the weekend.

Chinks123 · 18/04/2020 12:18

I had 1111 calories which I less than I meant to have. I weighed this morning and I’ve lost another pound which I’m pleased with even though I caved and had a millionaires shortbread yesterday.

When is everyone weighing? A friend told me to do daily, which I am doing but I’m worried I’m getting a bit obsessive. I think once a week would be better? Our weight can change so much over a day. Hope everyone has a lovely day.

Chinks123 · 18/04/2020 12:18

*1111 calories yesterday

feelingnervousnow · 18/04/2020 12:39

I think most of us are weighing on Thursdays.

menthollyinsane · 18/04/2020 12:54

Yes Thursday is the weigh of doom day.

Good morning all! I have cooked a healthy lunch - Skipped breakfast and will be tucking into lunch soon.

With the lockdown I have dug back into my grandmothers recipes and am
Enjoying trying to recreate the amazing food she cooked (am nowhere close to how good she was]

Today the Nymphs household will have having rice with butternut squash sambhar and an aubergine stir fry.

Am actually enjoying the lockdown and DD has started showing a real interest in her roots and am trying to widen her knowledge through food.

My diet plan is to simply eat nutritious
Home cooked food and cut the crap from my diet.

Yesterday I also booked tickets to hopefully fly to India and visit family over Diwali. So there’s my motivation -
I need to rock a Saree that I will be inevitably be gifted for the festival and would wear over the very many family gathering around that time. I haven’t been to India for Diwali
For around 17 years now so i am bloody excited

DontGoIntoTheLongGrass · 18/04/2020 13:02

I need to start walking daily as I'm on furlough. I need to start doing more around the house and in garden to stop me binge eating. I'm running out of things to eat now since I'm trying not to add it to the shop so hoping I'll start on better eating.

Got a treadmill and an exercise bike. Need to start using them. My only excuse is I'm lazy Grin

Ok no more snacking as of now!! Need to drink 2 litres water today too.
