Hello everyone and welcome to the March edition! The plan is to lose 7lbs or 3kg this month!

All are welcome whether you are a regular, newbie, lurker, returning member... all I ask for is the amazing positivity and encouragement I have seen on every thread so far. You guys have been incredible!

I am following ww blue plan and very low carbing. There's a good mix of different methods on here though :)

Previous thread here is anyone wants to look back: Lose 7lbs/3kg per month! The February edition! http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weightlosss_chat/3810787-lose-7lbs-3kg-per-month-the-february-edition

Current weight: 18st 4lbs

7 stone @cricketmum84! You legend! Hope you get well soon.
@Ihatesundays that was me last week. It's crept up a bit again but I am determined to stay below 70 kg from now on!

JessJonesJumps · 05/03/2020 09:45

@ploughingthrough hope you feel better soon Flowers

Some fantastic losses! Well done @Ihatesundays , @Egghead68 , and @cricketmum84 .

My WI day today- I've lost 1.6lbs this week. I expect a leap tomorrow because I had pizza late last night. 🙈

ploughingthrough · 05/03/2020 10:04

@Ihatesundays feels great getting down past 70 doesn't it. Well done!

KedsAndTubeSocks · 05/03/2020 10:24

I've been doing loads of exercise this week, so I'm starving today! My willpower has crumbled!

recklessgran · 05/03/2020 10:26

Morning all. This thread is SO inspiring. Crikey @CricketMum84 that is truly amazing and I've got everything crossed for you. I'm hoping to make it to 12st 10.75lbs by Monday when I go on holiday. That will make my total loss 1 and a half stones. Need to drop 1.5lbs in the next 4 days to make it though. Not sure if it's going to happen given I also have a big family meal out on Sunday for my birthday.
Thanks everyone for posting your victories - it really helps me to stay on track, even on the not so good days it helps to share those too doesn't it. I don't have a meal plan yet - meals might be a bit odd as trying to run down the fridge a bit. Have a good day all.

Onceuponatimethen · 05/03/2020 10:40

@cricketmum84 I am so impressed! That is an amazing loss and I bet really inspiring to everyone.

KedsAndTubeSocks · 05/03/2020 10:45

Room the only way you can possibly know that is if you carefully lowered each boob onto some kitchen scales sitting on the edge of a kitchen worktop! Grin That's real dedication! And quite funny! Or maybe you weighed yourself while a very good friend held your boobs up for you?!

I can see what you mean about women & BMI though, even when BF I was probably only a D. I have big shoulders so can carry a reasonable amount of weight without it being too obvious. I'd rather have big boobs than big shoulders.

Ihatesundays · 05/03/2020 10:45

@cricketmum84 you’ve basically lost a teenage girl off your body. Think of that.

I now need do be under 67kg to be lighter than DH. Don’t want to see a 70kg again!

TheOnlyMrsW · 05/03/2020 11:14

Morning all - absolutely amazed by some of the losses on this thread, so determined to keep on it this time! Yesterday went very off plan, lunch ended up not happening so was a cheese sandwich, fruit pot and Squares crisps very late and as a result didn't want to eat later..........back on it today though, 1l of water and a cup of coffee so far, not feeling hungry at all. Fish planned for dinner so DD will have fishfingers and wedges, DH & I have salmon fillets and will roast some veg to go with. KOKO as I've seen many upthread say

GetTheStartyParted · 05/03/2020 13:33

Wow @cricketmum84 that's amazing!

Lots of other good losses too, love hearing everyones progress.

I had a bacon and cheese omelette for breakfast/lunch and off to Nandos for tea.

Hello all, I’m not regular at posting these days just because of being busy but keeping on at it. Well done everyone for your hard work, keep it up!

I’m at 151.6lb which is good, steadily losing about 4-5lb per month, so I am really hoping that continues and that I see the 140s this month. My initial goal is 140lb (which brings me into ‘healthy’ territory, BMI-wise) and is also a weight at which I feel good. Longer term I think moving further down would be a good thing, so I’m not teetering on the edge of overweight, but I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Tryingtwo · 05/03/2020 16:17

Good afternoon all, 1lb off 7 stone and 3lbs off 100lb cricketmum84 that is an amazing achievement!
I'm down 0.8lbs from yesterday or 0.2lbs for the month. I had the last of the dental work today so I can eat on both sides of my mouth again - yay!

fractionated · 05/03/2020 17:48

Some brilliant losses here, v insprirational. I have been eating my dinners really early evening because I'm so hungry! I suppose that might be good tho? I've not had such a good day today and I've caved and had a glass of wine. I've defo gone over my calories today. Have most people given up alcohol or just having the odd one?

fractionated · 05/03/2020 17:57

Argh DH has brought home a load of desserts and I am so close to eating one 😭

cricketmum84 · 05/03/2020 18:15

Thanks all :) I'll be having a little celebration when that next pound disappears! Maybe a little cream cake or similar, not going crazy though as it'll just go back on...

Congratulations on all the losses! Especially those that are hitting milestones 🥂

@KedsAndTubeSocks I bet mine weigh about 500g each now 😂 bloody diets always take the boobs first!

@Ihatesundays ive just made my 15yo go get weighed just to compare and yes she is 7 stone 1!! I tried to lift her (which didn't go well) and it's absolutely astounding to think I was carrying that much extra weight all the time. God no wonder I couldn't walk for longer than 5 minutes without extreme pain.

@Tryingtwo thank god the dental work is over for you!

@fractionated I still have a drink but do try to stick to gin and low calorie tonic. I don't have any snacks except fruit if I'm really hungry, no chocolate, crisps etc so that's my treat :) Ha that's the kind of thing my DH would do!! He's offered me the same chocolate covered ginger biscuit 3 times today!!!

DD just on with cooking her Thai curry and it smells good!! She's added broccoli, carrot strips, pepper, onion, baby corn and sugar snap peas. She will probably faint from all the vitamins 😂

Onceuponatimethen · 05/03/2020 18:39

@cricketmum84 the Thai curry sounds amazing! Fancy some right now Smile

@fractionated I have exactly the same problem! I ate a mini donut in filling chocolate tonight but have reassured myself by checking and it looks like it was “only” 400 calories! I’m stopping there though Grin

Onceuponatimethen · 05/03/2020 18:39

Dipping chocolate not filling

JessJonesJumps · 05/03/2020 18:55

@cricketmum84 the thai curry sounds fab!

@fractionated I still have an occasional gin and slimline tonic or glass of wine when I'm with friends. In the last month, I'd say I've probably had about 3 G&Ts and 4 proseccos.

So far I've had leftover pizza for lunch and a quarter of a belgian bun. The latter was after my nurse appointment so I justified it by needing something to eat after lots of blood tests Wink I know that's a rubbish excuse

Ihatesundays · 05/03/2020 19:00

@cricketmum84 GrinGrinGrin

KedsAndTubeSocks · 05/03/2020 19:35

I stopped drinking completely a couple of years ago (not for weight loss reasons). I think alcohol can really mess with your blood sugar levels. I used to have a massive sugar addiction but I can take it or leave it since I quit alcohol.

KedsAndTubeSocks · 05/03/2020 20:38

I really want to weigh a boob now. Grin Maybe tomorrow when everyone is out of the house.

Onceuponatimethen · 05/03/2020 21:02

Forgot to say I’ve stopped keeping alcohol In the house to make it easier to cut down

SconNotScone · 05/03/2020 21:12

@fractionated I have never been a big drinker anyway, although would indulge on the odd night out, and have a couple of gin and tonics every fortnight or so at home. I have hardly drunk any alcohol since beginning of January, but wouldn’t deny myself the odd glass of something if I really fancied it.

I’ve had an Itsu noodle soup today with chicken breast and a boiled egg for lunch. Dinner at work wasn’t too bad, a flat bread with roasted veg and a small bit of haloumi, about 6 sweet potato fries (just for a taste!) and some salad. I missed breakfast this morning because I was running late. I’ve managed 2 litres of water today as well, so I’m feeling good! Weighing in the morning, I’m hoping to see 68kg, but I have a feeling it will be slightly over.

cricketmum84 · 05/03/2020 21:18

No way can I weigh my boobs. Not sure I have scales small enough 😂😂

The Thai curry was not up to her usual standard! She chopped the veg really small so it went overcooked and mushy The flavour was ok but the veggies were not... Obviously I said it was gorgeous but was full after half a bowl and have just snaffled a slice of toast while she is in the shower... hope the carbs don't break me!

OP posts:
fractionated · 05/03/2020 21:34

Lol "snaffled" 😂 at first I read that as you ate the toast in the shower and I thought, fais play but that wouldn't be my first choice of waterproof food!

I ended up eating a few squares of dark chocolate ☹️ I suppose it could have been worse. Start again tomorrow!
