Hello everyone and welcome to the March edition! The plan is to lose 7lbs or 3kg this month!

All are welcome whether you are a regular, newbie, lurker, returning member... all I ask for is the amazing positivity and encouragement I have seen on every thread so far. You guys have been incredible!

I am following ww blue plan and very low carbing. There's a good mix of different methods on here though :)

Previous thread here is anyone wants to look back: Lose 7lbs/3kg per month! The February edition! http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weightlosss_chat/3810787-lose-7lbs-3kg-per-month-the-february-edition

My stats are:
Starting weight (Dec 18) 25st 2lbs
Current weight: 18st 4lbs
Loss so far: 6st 12lbs
Loss for Feb: 6lbs (just missed target 😢)
Target for March: 10lbs so 17st 8lbs

We can do this people!!! Who's with me???

Thanks guys. I'm too impatient. It doesn't help that my much slimmer husband is losing weight at a similar rate and I thought I'd lose it faster because I have so much more to lose.

@beforeihit30 getting into the 140's is an amazing achievement! And @JessJonesJumps well done Star

Good luck @Fishfingersandwichplease

Hello all old existing and new joiners. I thought I had posted yesterday but the unsent post was still there this morning. Didn't weigh yesterday as dh was hogging the bathroom and I ate breakfast whilst I was waiting. I had a calorific day on Saturday but ate more sensibly yesterday.
Ecci glad the scales have started moving on the right direction and congrats to those of you with losses, nsvs (the flappy belt end is annoying me too) and those who have reached targets/goals.
I am down 1.6lbs for the month so far.

Fruit and veggies are here! Love this time of the week. DD already nicking bits of coriander Cos shes odd. Sure littlest DD will have demolished the strawberries by 5pm!

CousinBella · 09/03/2020 11:57

HI, hope it's ok to jump in the middle of the month...but I don't want the excuse to wait until beginning of April.

Start Weight (9th March) 66.0kg
Target Loss 1.5kg so 64.5kg

I am fasting 16/8 everyday.

Love the support of this group.

fractionated · 09/03/2020 13:23

Hello other newbies 👋🏼
I weighed myself this morning and have lost 3lb! Very happy with that. A bit of a boost of motivation to keep going as I was starting to lose it over the weekend.
Why is drinking water so key for weight loss by the way?

MadMadMad · 09/03/2020 13:58

Hi,
I'd like to join in.
Heaviest Weight: 14st
Start Weight (this time): 13st 7lbs end Dec 19
Current Weight: 12st 3lbs
Goal: 10st (this is right for my height).
I am using My FItness Pal to log what I eat and aiming for low calorie / low fat. I am also trying to up my exercise.

cricketmum84 · 09/03/2020 19:11

Hungry caterpillar day with literally no willpower. Had a cheese toastie for breakfast Cos I was stressed and then saw a pic of someone's cheese toastie on fb...

Then a bag of mini onion flatbreads, half a small bag of crisps that I didn't even enjoy and 2 cheese strings.

DD had made me a Thai broth type thing with rice noodles and mushrooms. Then I'm done. Drawing a line and tomorrow is a whole new day.

No change but still continuing to shrink. I have been wearing my ‘thin’ trousers today. I only wear them when I am on the small side. DH said they now look ridiculous because they are so baggy. I’ve owned them about 17/18 years and previously have only got to the stage of just fitting into them.
So weight isn’t everything...

GetTheStartyParted · 09/03/2020 20:10

Oh dear @cricketmum84 some days you just need to don't you Smile tomorrow is another day.

I agree @Ihatesundays NSV are probably more important than the numbers. I've been holding off buying new clothes but nothing fits right now. Love that you have 'thin' trousers and that you're now too slim for them! Great progress Star

GetTheStartyParted · 09/03/2020 20:11

Oh and hello new people! 🙋‍♀️

KedsAndTubeSocks · 09/03/2020 20:15

@ihatesundays are you exercising? Apologies but I can't keep track of who is doing what! I think (for me anyway) dieting leads to weight loss and exercise leads to inch loss. I may not be a representative sample, of course!

MotherOfDragonite · 09/03/2020 22:46

A big hello to all the lovely new people!

And well done to you, @GetTheStartyParted! That's a wonderful loss (and it all adds up, too).

@cricketmum84 some days are just like that. You have absolutely the right attitude about getting right back on it, though. You've got this!

I am still very pleased by my morning weigh-ins this week. I only lost 0.2lb last week so I am secretly hoping for at least a 2lb loss this week to make up for it, and I am on track so far. Perversely I have been eating what I would consider to be 'treat food', but in moderation and within my WW points -- for example I had half a pizza on a wholemeal base this evening.

I am now avoiding public transport due to coronavirus concerns (I am in London) and so I have walked 13k steps today! I have not been good about drinking water, though. I am going to start using a water bottle to hold myself accountable with!

Onceuponatimethen · 09/03/2020 23:00

Hi all!

I’m confused about my weighing today - I’m just not losing in the last week but I’ve only been eating 1,000 to 1,200 calories daily which must be low enough for some weight drop. The scales are so erratic though that it might literally be where I put them on the floor Grin

Anyway food of myself today as I did 10,000 steps and ate sensibly!

Onceuponatimethen · 09/03/2020 23:00

I meant proud of myself - not eating myself yet Blush

DownUdderer · 10/03/2020 03:02

I've gotten behind with this thread! Thanks for asking after me @KedsAndTubeSocks. I'll try and catch up in everyone's news. My eating is not on plan, maybe that's why I've not been keeping up! I walked 47km in my first week of March, with 140km being my goal for the whole month.

Egghead68 · 10/03/2020 06:06

Hello @downudderer! I hope things are getting back to normal on Oz now after the fires.

Dreading weighing myself as my whole diet/exercise regime has gone to pot (largely self-isolating from coronovirus - high-risk person in high-risk area). I’ll brace myself and do it shortly then try to get out for a run.

Egghead68 · 10/03/2020 06:45

63.7kg. Could be worse.

Ihatesundays · 10/03/2020 08:43

@KedsAndTubeSocks yes exercising, more targeted than I have in the past and eating more protein. I still need to lose some pounds rather than just shrinking though.

Tryingtwo · 10/03/2020 10:52

Good morning all, Sts at this morning's weigh in. I really need to get better at drinking my water, I only managed 2 pints and a mug of tea yesterday.

GetTheStartyParted · 10/03/2020 11:21

Thanks @MotherOfDragonite

Fingers crossed for a 2lb loss this week for you Smile Must be nice to be having your favourite foods and still losing weight.

I have spent the last few days feeling really nauseous and my DH has decided it's because I'm not eating enough. To be honest, I am often way under what I'm supposed to have, I've just lost my appetite.

Anyway, he's suggested I increase what I eat for the next few days and see how I feel. I've just forced down a cloud bread BLT and have a salad to eat before our evening meal of chicken drumsticks with bacon wrapped asparagus. I hope it works.

Hope you're all doing ok today.

Tryingtwo · 10/03/2020 14:19

I was in Tescos buying salad and chicken for me and chicken nuggets for dgs2 when the fire alarm went off. As no one knew how long we would have to wait and dgs2 was mothering for food I took him to McDonald's and decided to have a grand big mac and fries for lunch, I have been fancying one since the promotion started and it was okay but not worth a day's calories! Oh well looks like an mushroom omelette or soup for dinner.

Tryingtwo · 10/03/2020 14:20

Mithering not mothering.
