Morning, thought I would start a new thread for March as it has been such a good thread again in February. I think the supportive atmosphere really helps us all. I'm hoping to be dead on 9stone by the end of March, currently 9st3.25 (total loss of 8 pounds).

Hi all!

@Heygirlheyboy well done on pushing through.

I'm about a 100 over today but that's with a Nando's and still have exercise calories left which I won't use. I'm still in the initial hungry phase and I was getting really narky this afternoon as I was trying to save as many calories as I could for this evening.

@Octopus37 that Chinese takeaway sounds amazing. I need to factor one in somehow.

Keep going everybody!

I'm going to a post match Costa tomorrow. Off to look for low calorie coffees.

EndlessUserName · 07/03/2020 20:23

Well done everyone, lots of you doing so well resisting temptation

@winterisstillcoming I've trained myself to love a good filter coffee, nice and strong, good kick to it and very low calorie

Who was it that always eats almonds here? Can you tell me why?? And calories? Health benefits? I like almonds so interested about including them!

Heygirlheyboy · 07/03/2020 22:39

I love almonds and so does Octopus I think it's around 140 cals for then and they're a great filler and good for you. I team them with an apple for afternoon snack or chop them on yoghurt and fruit for v decent breakfast.

Heygirlheyboy · 07/03/2020 22:39

Ten not then!

Heygirlheyboy · 08/03/2020 08:53

Another phrase from my book that I like is, instead of losing weight, releasing weight. There's something inevitable and freeing about it. Here's to a good week ahead all! And Happy International Women's Day!

Octopus37 · 08/03/2020 10:25

Happy International Women's Day. I was out yesterday so I didn't eat well, prawn and peanut curry for lunch, nachos and rose wine for dinner. Up to 9st2.75 today unsurprisingly today. It was worth it though, I really needed a day out. Back to normal today though.

Ugh just want to sit and eat and eat today :( Definitely this particular weekend a tough one for me each month. I will have to take one minute at a time for now!! Your day sounds lovely Octopus :)

Octopus37 · 08/03/2020 13:20

Hang on in there Heygirl, its hard. Can you have a hot drink or any small treat to take the edge off?

OP posts:
Heygirlheyboy · 08/03/2020 13:47

I had my snack and lunch early so at least it's decent food. Having a herbal tea now actually and it does help! Meal planning for the week. I find the routine of the week easier and the habit of sugar overload on weekend is so.ingrained. Hope you're doing OK.

Porpoises · 08/03/2020 16:23

Edged below 73kg this morning :)

Heygirlheyboy · 08/03/2020 17:03

Well done Porpoises what was your starting weight?

ndo4000 · 08/03/2020 18:12

Hey all! Well done everyone for their losses!

I dropped off the radar a bit for the last week. Mainly because I've been eating chocolate and drinking wine 🤦‍♀️.

BUT determined to get back on track from tomorrow!

Remarkably I have actually lost weight this week and am now at 64.4kgs. I think it must have been because I've been replacing proper meals with shit junk food.....

Octopus37 · 09/03/2020 07:27

Well done Porpoises and Ndo. NDO sometimes I will replace lunch with chocolate if I really want it, I know a lot of people frown at that but sometimes it can be the thing to do to help you stay on track. Weighed in at 9st1 again this morning, pleased and surprised. Just had my oatcakes and almonds for breakfast. Someone was asking about almonds the other day. I tend to find that a small serving of them (I count out 7), helps me fill me up cause of the protein.

Yesterday was feeling ill with virus and ate cornflakes, cheese and crackers and a jacket potatoe. Delicious.

I’m down 0.6 kg 1.3 lbs

3.2 kg or 7lb in total!
Thank you all for support

Canklesforankles · 09/03/2020 07:46

Well done Octopus, purpoises and ndo

Keep on keeping on everyone.

Nice idea about releasing weight. Although sadly my boobs seem to be more willing to release than my belly. They are looking distinctly saggier. Actually so is my belly in fact!

Porpoises · 09/03/2020 08:31

Cheers guys. It's only 1.5kg since the start of February, pretty slow, but I've been aiming for healthy behaviour changes rather than a calorie deficit, so am pleased that is also having a gradual impact on the scales.

Get well soon cankles.

Heygirlheyboy · 09/03/2020 08:53

Well done all, lots of losses there! Only thing about chocolate for a meal is the feeling of not being completely full and, for me, of it leading to more cravings. But if it works it works!

Today:
Ono with strawberries and blueberries
No potato frittata with veg and goats cheese
Bolognese with potatoes
Snack: pear and almonds
Likely a good long walk later. Another 0.75 down here too! :)

EndlessUserName · 09/03/2020 11:38

Well done everyone! So pleased for you all. Lots of us have been going for a long time now and I'm so pleased to see how many people are still going :)

I will weigh in in a few days, currently still have AF

Thanks for the almond info!

B - 30g oats with honey, pear, raisins and mixed spice
L - leftover veg made into a frittata or something like that
D - leftover chicken, chips, gravy, lots of veg. Maybe a Yorkshire pudding... We'll see!

winterisstillcoming · 09/03/2020 14:14

Well done all! It really helps to share in the reality of weight loss.

I have moved weigh in day to Friday morning. This is an attempt to encourage me into the weekend.

So last Friday I was 9st 9.

March is quite quiet socially so hoping to stick with it.

Had my usual today.

B - protein bar

L - poached eggs on toast with ketchup

Dinner - marinated chicken with some noodles maybe and some toasted kale with homemade Chinese sauce.

S - seaweed, fruit, something cheeky

D - coffee water water water.

I really want to see 9st 7 this Friday as it has been at least 2 years since that appeared on my scales.

Happy Monday.

Heygirlheyboy · 09/03/2020 16:37

Breakfast and dinner sound yum Dontfundhate I am missing the sugary stuff today :/ Well done winterisstillcoming

Heygirlheyboy · 09/03/2020 19:47

Logged for the day. Had a lovely sweet snack there - 50g greek yoghurt and a mandarin for 120cald. Feel much better. Think my bolognese portion might have been too small earlier.

Heygirlheyboy · 10/03/2020 08:23

Morning all. Just checking in with today's menu!
Ono with strawberries and blueberries
Salad with beetroot, goats cheese, pumpkin seeds and homemade dressing
Fajitas with tomato salsa, guacamole and rice ie no wrap
Snack: carrot with tablespoon hummus.
Hope everyone has a good day ahead.

Octopus37 · 10/03/2020 08:50

Woe Heygirl that sounds really healthy and tasty. Had pasta for dinner last night was peckish afterwards but managed not to snack. Still a bit low on energy so am eating bits of chocolate and stuff.
Today so far, cereal bar and a penguin. Weighed 9st1.5 this morning, ok with that. Hoping to get down to 9st by the end of March but need to keep on it.

OP posts:
Heygirlheyboy · 10/03/2020 10:18

We'll both get there for sure!

EndlessUserName · 10/03/2020 13:41

Sounds very nice @Heygirlheyboy

Also craving sugar today, think it's tiredness, coming down with a cold

Today's plan
B - scotch pancakes, berries
L - sausage bap...
D - veg fajita
S - creme egg... Donut... Maybe a biscuit too later

Not my best day!
