Morning, thought I would start a new thread for March as it has been such a good thread again in February. I think the supportive atmosphere really helps us all. I'm hoping to be dead on 9stone by the end of March, currently 9st3.25 (total loss of 8 pounds).

Wow octopus that sounds like a real weight then... we won't be close anymore! I think I was 9stone 4.75 last week but hopefully around 9, 3.5 this week when I weigh (Thurs).

Heygirlheyboy · 03/03/2020 20:28

I'm re-reading some of my book here and I like the expression she uses for not throwing caution to the wind, say when out for a meal - Don't slash your tyres - I'll remember that,no way do.I want to mess up this great effort I've made so I'm going to try and do my best to keep avoiding my old pal, sugar. Lofe is much better now I have finally LTB Grin

Octopus37 · 03/03/2020 20:34

Heygirl, I'll probably get my appetite back good and proper next week and want to eat for England

OP posts:
Heygirlheyboy · 03/03/2020 20:36

Yes but you'll hardly eat an extra 3500 ie a pound!

Twixes · 03/03/2020 22:48

I did well today, stuck to my plan and I come in at 1400. I even managed to resist a hot chocolate my husband offered. Very proud of myself!

No food plan for dinner tomorrow night which is always dodgy...

everycowandagain · 04/03/2020 07:09

Morning all. Off on holiday today and I hit 130.8 with a goal of 130 so I am counting that as a victory!!

My goal for my time away is to have fun and not slash my tires!!

Octopus37 · 04/03/2020 07:19

Everygirl, have a great holiday, massive well done on your goal. Heygirl, I love the expression dont' slash your tyres, for me at the moment that means still keeping a record even if what I've eaten has been a bit rubbish. Up to 9st2.5 today which is probably more realistic, but that's fine, need to be on the mend. Well done Twixes.

Well done everyone!!!

I am doing very badly and need help to get back on track. I'm just so bloody hungry all the time! 😫

What low cal snacks can I eat?

Heygirlheyboy · 04/03/2020 08:00

Twixes it's chilli with lots of mixed beans and veg, in case that helps.
Glad that phrase helps! :)
Everycowandagain well done and enjoy hols. Blt steak fab for a treat steak meal Robert high over Columbus circle an amazing location, book both on arrival ideally.

Heygirlheyboy · 04/03/2020 08:09

I mean that's my dinner plan!
Ono for breakfast, scrambled eggs with chard and chicken for lunch, peanut butter and apple for snack and chilli with brown rice for dinner. Weigh in tomorrow. Have a good day all.

everycowandagain · 04/03/2020 08:27

@ndo4000 I have been eating big tubs of carrot sticks, baby tomatoes, cucumber and pepper. Not exciting but a lot of food for the calories! Also skyr Yoghurt with a piece of fruit. Sometimes a coffee with skimmed milk tides me over. So long as your calorie target is realistic and sustainable i.e. not too low?

Heygirlheyboy · 04/03/2020 08:34

Only see your post now ndo. Are you leaving 3h between meals and snacks? Snacks I love are piece of fruit plus nuts/nut butters and that combo definitely keeps me going. Decent and filling meals also important to minimise snacking. Veg sticks and hummus, grapes and cheese (weighed!)

TheHoundsofLove · 04/03/2020 11:18

I'm sorry that you're struggling ndo . I agree with Hey and would concentrate on eating more filling meals so that you're not feeling hungry all the time - that's not sustainable for anyone.
Have fun every !

Mommy97 · 04/03/2020 12:32

I find that snacking on raw veg like sugar snap peas, or fruits and drinking loads of water keeps me feeling full and curbs my sugar cravings.

DontFundHate · 04/03/2020 12:34

@ndo4000 I do same as @everycowandagain sometimes, some chopped up veg arranged on a nice plate with a small bit of dip and some apple and small bit of cheddar cheese is a lovely meal or large snack - I find adding a tiny bit of something "naughty" - ie somthing tasty but high calorie can make a big difference to me enjoying the meal and carrying on with the weight loss

My meal plans

Tue was
B - Ono
L - 2 fish fingers on one piece bread as a sandwich
D - 1 very large fajita made with loads of veg and some chicken
S - chocolate bar and 1 small biscuit - I try not to snack usually but am expecting af in a few days so hoping a little bit of what I fancy will keep me happy, otherwise I'll go mad and binge on sugar!

Today

B - 30g oats with honey and berries
L - sushi
D - chicken sausage meatballs with wholemeal pasta and veg packed sauce
S - yogurt and chocolate

DontFundHate · 04/03/2020 12:34

@ndo4000 oh yes I also drink loads, tea and coffee (decaf!)

Mommy97 · 04/03/2020 14:37

My meals today

Cut raw fruit with activia yoghurt.

salad spinach, cucumber, lettuce, tomatoes, bit of dressing with black pepper.

Dinner will be baked sweet potato with sardines and green veg.

Snacks, 1 apple 1 orange.

Octopus37 · 04/03/2020 18:11

Today's food
Breakfast - 2 oatcakes (266)
4 Malteser biscuits (224)
I oatcake (133)
I Cadburys Caramel Egg (170)
I grilled sausage (about 100)
I pancake with some feta and roasted veg) (prob about 500

Realise this has taken me over up to 1,659, gone over but suppose its fair to say I've got my appetite back. Nevermind

OP posts:
Twixes · 04/03/2020 20:50

Today I ate:

Skimmed milk coffee
M&S porridge pot
Lidl Mediterranean salad
Paella with prawns

One chocolate finger

1400 calories and I feel a bit hungry! In bed now which will help curb the temptation to raid the kitchen. Three day good streak for me Halo

Heygirlheyboy · 05/03/2020 07:22

9 stone 3! Delighted 9 weeks in. Weighed 10 stone Jan 10th (no battery for scales up to that!) Looking forward to the next half stone. All logged for today except I'm eating out this evening, will have around 350 left... can.I get anything for that?! I may have to skip my tbsp of peanut butter if not. I'm thinking fish and veg or caesar salad. Have a good day all. Do not slash those tyres!! :)

Canklesforankles · 05/03/2020 08:59

Well done Hey Great progress

Patchworksack · 05/03/2020 10:29

Well done Heygirl

I didn't have a great day yesterday, I have a rotten cold (not coronavirus!) and had to work a long shift because we were really short staffed - not conducive to making good choices!
However, patch up the tyres and carry on!
I have a casserole in the slow cooker for tonight, need to find something for lunch...
ndo have a look at how much protein you are eating if you are getting very hungry between meals. (On a good day) I have a piece of fruit if I need a snack.

winterisstillcoming · 05/03/2020 11:29

Welcome hey girl! I want your stats!!

After a few false starts, I'm back on it. Protein shake for breakfast, 30min hiit workout and doing the online shop for high protein and healthy foods.

Food today will be:

B Protein shake
L poached eggs, spinach,smoked salmon
D Chinese chicken stir fry no noodles.

S fruit, sunbites

D coffee, water water water

TheHoundsofLove · 05/03/2020 12:31
