Morning, thought I would start a new thread for March as it has been such a good thread again in February. I think the supportive atmosphere really helps us all. I'm hoping to be dead on 9stone by the end of March, currently 9st3.25 (total loss of 8 pounds).

Ugh I'm the same but headachey rsther than cold. Hope you feel better.

Porpoises · 10/03/2020 18:15

My exercise goal is going well, the longer days are encouraging me to get out for a little walk, jog or bike ride most days. Even managed my first outdoor swim of the year.

Heygirlheyboy · 10/03/2020 18:34

Gosh well done Porpoises! I'm feeling full to the brim after 600 cal feast for dinner Grin it was worth the low cal lunch and snack, which were also v nice! Early night tonight and will weigh in thurs or Fri, hopefully be down to 9stone 2

Octopus37 · 10/03/2020 19:20

Well done Porpoises. Sorry to those of you feeling under the weather, so many horrible bugs going round at the moment. Finding it difficult this week as unsurprisingly I'm hungry. Have eaten today
1 cereal bar (196)
I penguin (130)
2 oatcakes and 7 almonds (315)
Yorkie (247)
Pasta with tuna, onions, tomatos and chickpeas (hopefully not more than 600 but probably was)

Have the feeling that today is going to be a maintenance week if I'm lucky, especially as I haven't had much exercise today.

Porpoises · 10/03/2020 19:48

Sorry to everyone who's under the weather!

Heygirlheyboy · 11/03/2020 08:16

Caved last night guys, very deliberately and with planning.. over it hang back on itthe today.
Ono and coffee dash milk
Two eggs scrambled with feta, guacamole, tomatoes, hummus and carrots
Mandarin and almonds
Chicken curry and brown rice. Yoga class and walk.

EndlessUserName · 11/03/2020 13:12

I have also caved in this morning with a big sugar binge. Think I will do a 2 week of being very strict no sugar. have learnt from Jordan than there's no point in me trying my best and then eating a load of cake too, and then wondering why I haven't lost weight, need to be consistent!

Heygirlheyboy · 11/03/2020 17:04

Weirdly it has scratched my itch but hasn't left me wanting more for now..Lots of lovely filling food today and a dinner on way. Have saved snack two until later if needed..I think two snacks are needed for me so I don't get hangry.. good luck and hope everyone safe, virus getting a bit unsettling now.

Octopus37 · 11/03/2020 17:33

That's good Heygirl. Know what you mean about needing snacks and getting hangry. Todays food:
Breakfast - 2 oatcakes and almonds (315)
Lunch - Piece of cheesecake (guessing about 450)
Penguin bar (130)
Dinner will be a breaded cold fillet (251) with some potatos and 2 cauliflower hash browns, using freezer contents up
As I said, I'm pretty sure this is a maintenance week, but it still helps me to feel in control if I log my food on here.

That's great @Heygirlheyboy

That's a good attitude @octopus37 this is real life after all

Really bad food day today, had a very stressful morning so that's partly to blame, eaten so much my stomach is actually in pain... Haven't been that silly in a long time. Start afresh tomorrow

Porpoises · 11/03/2020 18:14

Avoided the work snack table again. The blanket rule of not eating any is working much better than attempting to moderate.

@stopfundinghate sorry you've had a stressful day. Try not to beat yourself up. You might have less appetite tonight and tomorrow morning, see if your body tries to naturally even it out.

Notsoleanbean · 11/03/2020 18:38

I’m late but can I join?? have just regained some motivation for the first time this year.
I’m currently 9st9 and want to get down to about 9st5 at least this month.

Porpoises · 11/03/2020 19:08

Welcome @Notsoleanbean. Love the username

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 11/03/2020 19:18

Hi! Can I join too? I'm a lot heavier than you lot and just starting this week. Today is day 4 for me. I'm really hungry! Trying to do lowish carb but I got given a club orange today and couldn't resist it

EndlessUserName · 11/03/2020 19:27

Welcome newbies! I think some newbie enthusiasm would help reignite mine!

EndlessUserName · 11/03/2020 19:28

@Porpoises that's a good idea, I like having a clear idea of what I'll do, will give that a go

Porpoises · 11/03/2020 19:51

Cooked some frozen Brussel sprouts with my tea tonight. They tasted weird. Not sure if I did something wrong or if you should just not buy frozen Brussel sprouts. Grin

Porpoises · 11/03/2020 20:11

Welcome igglepiggle

Canklesforankles · 11/03/2020 20:14

Welcome iggle and notso.

We are about being kind to ourselves and not beating ourselves up if we succumb to an orange club biscuit. Wink

Just keep going. Slow and steady (with the odd blip that we just shrug at).

I’ve carried on feeling a bit ropey and had cornflakes and jacket potatoe again today! Listening to my body/feeling too wobbly to spend ages cooking. It’s fine.

Back to work tomorrow. Probably not 16:8 if under weather. Will have a bit of breakfast and work back up to it with light lunch and healthy tea.

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 11/03/2020 22:18

👋 hi! I did manage to (just) stay under my calorie budget today so not catastrophic, and even managed a bit of yoga.

Sometimes you just need to look after your body cankles, and if your cold needs a jacket potato, then that's what it needs!

Porpoises - I always add butter and salt or maybe bacon and loads of pepper to Brussels (possibly that's why I'm overweight though). I made a horrible tasting Asian slaw recipe yesterday, no-one should ever have too eat that much raw cabbage. Today's food for me was a nice salad for lunch and roast chicken with loads of roast veg & corn on the cob very tasty.

Thanks for letting me join in the thread!

Porpoises · 12/03/2020 18:23

How was everyone's day?

EndlessUserName · 12/03/2020 18:28

Oh dear @porpoises!

Welcome iggle!

Rubbish day again. Don't know what wrong with me! Will start again when I feel like it. Aiming to maintain at least

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 12/03/2020 18:29

So far so good, slightly under on calories and done 12000 steps so far. How about you?

Octopus37 · 12/03/2020 18:36

Haven't done that well today weighed in at 9st1 this morning, but really losing my mojo at the moment.
Breakfast - 1 and a half Nature Valley bars (300)
A Yorkie Bar (247)
2 Oatcakes (266)
A small handful of crisps (unsure) - did however manage to stop myself opening a new bag
A fish fillet (251)
Some potatos (probably too many).

Making myself post on here to remain accountable.
