Morning, thought I would start a new thread for March as it has been such a good thread again in February. I think the supportive atmosphere really helps us all. I'm hoping to be dead on 9stone by the end of March, currently 9st3.25 (total loss of 8 pounds).

I don't know if you've seen this beautiful message from Pope Francis to the Italian people.
From Pope Francis: So beautiful from Pope Francis:

“Tonight before falling asleep
think about when we will return to the street.

When we hug again,
when all the shopping together will seem like a party.

Let's think about when the coffees will return to the bar, the small talk, the photos close to each other.

We think about when it will be all a memory but normality will seem an unexpected and beautiful gift.

We will love everything that has so far seemed futile to us.
Every second will be precious.

Swims at the sea, the sun until late, sunsets, toasts, laughter.

We will go back to laughing together.

Strength and courage.

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 20/03/2020 20:18

Ok, yeah..I've had a lot of wine now. We'll see how that goes with a weigh in tomorrow morning

Heygirlheyboy · 20/03/2020 20:18

The upside, if you want to call it that, is that all takeaways are closed here so instead I've had roast med veg and cubed potatoes. Had a few teacakes in my sugarpusher Dad's earlier. Otherwise ono which were delicious this morning and said dinner.

Porpoises · 20/03/2020 23:27

Had a tooth pulled this morning (too many sugary snacks I guess). As a consequence I've only been able to to eat soup and soft bread all day, so have been very healthy.

Strength to all of you x

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 21/03/2020 07:12

I've lost 0.7 of a lb. Fair enough!

Octopus37 · 21/03/2020 15:41

Hope everyone is keeping safe. Had another day of eating far too much yesterday rocky road, chocolate, crisps. a Chinese takeaway and cider. However, very happy cause my friend had her colonoscopy (went to the hospital with her) and was given the all clear. Weighed in at 9st3 this morning, so overall a couple of pounds gain, Have done well today though,.
Breakfast - pack of gluten free crackers (at friends house) (154)
Lunch - 2 oatcakes and 7 almonds (315)

Keep safe and lets try and stay in the best spirits we can.

Hi!! Please can I rejoin!?

Had a mad busy couple of weeks and dropped off the last thread. My weight is creeping up again Sad and I really want to get back to 8st7lbs!
I’ll go and have a catch up now. Hope everyone’s ok in these mad times!

WellErrr · 21/03/2020 21:46

I’ve at least got loads of time on my hands - been pulled out of the hospital as I’m a student but feeling so sorry for all my colleagues and wish I was there helping! Sad

Octopus37 · 22/03/2020 09:25

Lovely to see you back WellErr. Happy Mothers Day to all of you and thinking about those of us who don't have their Mums around. 9st1 this morning by some miracle. Just off to try some yoga with Adrienne.

72.3kg today Smile gradually inching downwards.

Been digging a veg patch today.

Porpoises · 22/03/2020 16:34

Well done iggles and octopus

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 22/03/2020 17:17

Urgh, I've been doing so bad the past couple of days... too much comfort eating. I need something else comforting I can do while I'm ill and freaking out about the idea of being stuck in doors for months...
Hi @WellErrr!

Octopus37 · 22/03/2020 18:23

I can relate to that Igglepiggles, I think the best a lot of us are going to do is manage to maintain overall by a mixture of good and bad days, says she who's just ordered us all a Dominos, will mean that I'm up again tomorrow but at the moment I'm not all that bothered.

winterisstillcoming · 22/03/2020 20:16

Happy Mother's Day all. I did some eating today! I'm glad because my appetite has virtually disappeared which is not healthy. Had my afternoon tea for lunch and fish and chips for dinner.

I've also got a FaceTime date with a friend later with a glass of something.

@Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket what's normal anymore?? Just let's do what we can. I think it's going to take us a while to adjust to this.

Welcome @WellErrr. I can't remember what 8'7 feels like! You know you can get there, just keep at it.

Well done @Porpoises and @octopus. I've got some veg seeds and bags too.

Heygirlheyboy · 23/03/2020 09:40

Guys, I'm up to 9.10 in the space of two weeks, from 9.2.25 :( Tyres slashed, many biscuits mindlessly eaten. I am posting because I want to keep trying as well as owning up. Hope you're all doing better.

Porpoises · 23/03/2020 11:43

Ah I'm sorry @Heygirlheyboy, well done for posting! Can you make the house a biscuit free zone? Or at least get someone else to hide them? I find it near impossible to have self control at a stressful time when there are sugary temptations sitting right there.

Octopus37 · 23/03/2020 12:10

So easy to do Hey, could be me in a couple of weeks. I too think it’s better to keep coming in here regardless of weight or eatlng. Maybe we all need to try and practice a bit of self-care where possible

OP posts:
TheHoundsofLove · 23/03/2020 12:24

It is very easy to go off track at the moment...what with everyone in the house together, different shopping habits and all the worry! I'm only managing to maintain by keeping to 16:8 - I find that it really does work well for maintenance.
But, these are such unusual times that I don't think anyone should be being too hard on themselves.

winterisstillcoming · 23/03/2020 17:04

Agree @TheHoundsofLove and@Octopus37

You'll bounce back @Heygirlheyboy. Beating ourselves up about it is not going to help. And never regret eating biscuits.

My suggestion would be to self care in other areas to help boost mood. Like beauty, or getting sleep, taking vitamins or taking time out to do something that makes you feel good. Then you'll get back in the right frame of mind.

For me, hunger is back with a vengeance. So I'm trying to be good but still being kind to myself on other ways.

Heygirlheyboy · 23/03/2020 21:17

Thanks guys, appreciate all. Will keep posting and hanging on in there.

EndlessUserName · 23/03/2020 21:32

Yay welcome back @WellErrr!

It's been such a tough week hasn't it

I weighed in this morning at 9st 10. I can't remember if that's good or not! And now we're in lockdown with a ton of creme eggs in the cupboard!

EndlessUserName · 23/03/2020 21:36

Well done keeping going @Heygirlheyboy

And well done losers!

So has anyone got any quick self care tips? Kids at home, working from home, I'm also a key worker so will have to go to work on a rota basis too which is stressing me out. Any stress and I grab a creme egg... What could I do instead? (Something quick ish as the small kids are around!)

Octopus37 · 23/03/2020 22:13

I've messed up tonight. Wasn't too bad, but then I drank a can of Strongbow Dark Fruit, I was then really hungry so ate chocolate. Really got to get back on track

OP posts:
WellErrr · 24/03/2020 07:22

I had a really good couple of days planned, but the rest of the family had Mother’s Day treats planned so I had to write off Sunday and yesterday 🤦🏻‍♀️
Back on it today though!

WellErrr · 24/03/2020 07:23

Heygirl start again with me!!

Remember the first few days are awful, and after that it’s easier! Surely lockdown might help us as we’ll need to do a bit of rationing!? 🤷🏻‍♀️
