Aah, you lot are so sweet! Definitely not jealousy from this lady; she's very slim and pretty. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the end-of-the-month weigh in tomorrow. Then I'm having the rest of the weekend off.

@Onceuponatimethen my scales also change all the time, even if I don't move them! I gain or lose 2 kg daily. I just use the measurement I want more - if you pick the higher weight at the start of the month, it's so much easier to lose by the end of the month. Grin
@recklessgran that all sounds amazing! In my head I can do all that, but in reality I can barely scrape together a cheese and pickle sandwich!

recklessgran · 28/02/2020 22:21

Finished at last!

MotherOfDragonite · 28/02/2020 22:21

Nice one @SconNotScone -- well done! That is a great loss!

Hope you are feeling better soon @cricketmum84, it's miserable feeling poorly. The broccoli and ginger dish sounds like just what you need! I might try to make something like that tomorrow... my other favourite when I am poorly is Itsu chili miso soup...

And thank you for the words of wisdom @Egghead68. Bad days do sometimes happen, and I think I kind of managed to salvage mine by being stern with myself about tracking (WW points!) all the things I ate, and then made up for it by having steamed carrots for supper.

So I feel like I am back on track again. Today was a good day, I worked through lunch and then shared a Friday night pizza with DD1 -- she loves lots of veg on top and it was such a treat.

MotherOfDragonite · 28/02/2020 22:22

@recklessgran you are talented!!! That looks super.

Egghead68 · 28/02/2020 22:24

Cake looks amazing @recklessgran!

Onceuponatimethen · 29/02/2020 00:46

Ah I think they will be thrilled with that @recklessgran

DownUdderer · 29/02/2020 01:27

The buffet sounds amazing! The cake looks great. I'm having a quiet relaxed weekend and I'm going to have a relaxed attitude to food this weekend and refocus on Monday.

cricketmum84 · 29/02/2020 02:53

Having a bad night for sleeping tonight so thought I would catch up!

@recklessgran the cake looks amazing :) I'm sure your relative will love it! So glad to hear the news about your DD too. FWIW we are waiting on an ASD diagnosis for eldest DD (who is also transgender so I sometimes slip up and say he on my posts) and I worry about how she will cope alone. She really struggles with anxiety and has very compulsive behaviour. She is only 15 but I struggle to imagine her being able to cope with living alone. I can totally understand your worries and concerns with your DD.

@Onceuponatimethen I'm not a huge fan of meal replacement shakes I'll be honest. I would rather just make a high protein, healthy meal for the same calories and have some solid food. Personally I'm not sure if a shake diet is maintainable so maybe it's a good thing that you and your DH are still a bit nervous of them 😂

@DownUdderer a relaxed weekend sounds fab. I'm going to weigh in a few hours once I've managed a few hours sleep and then I'm chilling for the weekend. Promised myself I would get the running gear out and have a little go Saturday and Sunday morning rather than sitting in my pyjamas until lunchtime being a lazy arse!!!

The kitten cuddles are helping with the insomnia...

March has snuck up on me! I’m committed to covering 140km during March. I’ll keep a running total. I need 4.5km daily. I write it down and see how I’m doing weekly.

DownUdderer · 29/02/2020 04:18

I walk, I don’t run.

Egghead68 · 29/02/2020 06:42

Finishing the month on 63.6kg so 0.9kg down in February. I’ll take that, especially given I was on holiday for two weeks.

Sounds like a great thing to commit to @DownUdderer. Hope you are enjoying your relaxed weekend.

Cute kitten @cricketmum84. I hope you got some sleep.

Steamed carrots for supper shows hardcore willpower @

Hope the party goes well @recklessgran.

KOKO everyone!

Egghead68 · 29/02/2020 06:42

@ should be @MotherOfDragonite

KedsAndTubeSocks · 29/02/2020 06:49

Steamed carrots, my days!

SW: 72.3 kg
EW: 69.5 kg
Start waist measurement: didn't take a note, so I'm going to guess 83 cm
End waist measurement 80 cm

Goodness knows how I managed to pull that out of the bag, with 10 days staying with the feeder. I'm absolutely delighted to be in the 60s finally and my BMI is definitely in the healthy range.
Thanks for the support everyone, enjoy the weekend!

Egghead68 · 29/02/2020 06:53

Hooray @KedsAndTubeSocks!! Star

Onceuponatimethen · 29/02/2020 07:24

@cricketmum84 kitten cuddles definitely help! I’m having those too

I couldn’t agree more about shakes, but dp was quite obese when we started this and is at high risk of diabetes due to family history. We are trying to do the diabetes diet from the Newcastle Royal hospital which is going to be rolled out on the nhs in April. That calls for a shakes and veg diet. He does say a real food diet is preferable if you can do it

recklessgran · 29/02/2020 08:19

Morning all - thank you for all the cake comments.First batch of sausage rolls are in the oven.
Most importantly it's the last day of February so just checking in with weight.
February start weight 13st 4lbs
February end weight 12st 12.25lbs
So that's 5.75lbs for February and 19.5lbs down since I started Keto on 30th Dec. I'm really happy with that as I don't feel like I'm suffering.
Aim for March is 12st 7lbs. I've adjusted this slightly in an effort at realism given that it's my birthday next Sunday and we go on holiday on Monday.
Sorry haven't had time to read back but will catch up with you all later once I feel I'm ahead of the game with the buffet.

Ihatesundays · 29/02/2020 08:38

Last day and I lost another 0.1kg taking me to 70kg (11stone) I mean why couldn’t it be 69.9kg yet!!
But for the whole month I lost 0.4kg which is a pound basically.
12 weeks or so until I go on holiday. Would very much like to be around 67kg (another 6 pounds) I’m hoping I am now out of plateau and it’s achievable.

@cricketmum84 insomnia is the worst!

Onesmallstep67 · 29/02/2020 09:45

Morning everyone and well done to everyone for your losses. Some great focus and efforts going on.
I am 15st 3lbs this morning. I am out tonight, it's my birthday tomorrow but I am feeling unpleasantly distracted as one of my cats has been missing a couple of days. Going to have to put a note through doors as there's no way she's just outside somewhere. Sad

Onceuponatimethen · 29/02/2020 10:47

@Onesmallstep67 I’m really sorry to hear about the cat - this happened to us last summer and she did come back when we knocked on all neighbours doors and asked them to check sheds and garages. Will hope for the same result for you

Ecci · 29/02/2020 10:51

Bit disappointing as yesterday morning I was 189.2 lbs, today I am 190.2, but I did have some pizza and a scone with jam.
Overall loss for February is 4.4 lbs, so I'm 13 st 8.2 lbs today. It's going down gradually but a bit slower than I'd like.
Well done to all you ladies who've also got losses for this month. We are all doing really well.

cricketmum84 · 29/02/2020 10:57

Morning all. Finally got to sleep about 5 and got up an hour or so ago so I don't feel too bad.

18.4 this morning so a total of 6lbs for the month. Was really hoping for more but I'm feeling kinda confident going into March if I keep up the low carbing.

I really hope puss cat turns up @Onesmallstep67. Our little Elliecat went missing 18 months ago and it's absolute torture not knowing what happened to her. Hopefully she is just hiding in a shed or garage somewhere. If you are on Facebook there's loads of local lost/found pet sites so worth posting on those and also ringing local vets and rescues in case she has been injured and taken in.

Plan for today is a little more relaxed. Leftover Chinese for dinner as I only ate half last night. Really really tempted to have a slice of toast in a little bit! Fruit bowl is empty :( I need to do a shop!

I'll get the March thread up and running in a bit and post the link :)

Some great losses on here. Well done everyone!

Feb SW: 13.2.6
Feb EW: 12.13.2
Total Loss since Jan2: 8.6lbs
Inches Lost in Feb: 4.5

recklessgran · 29/02/2020 12:30

Quick update. Been to hairdressers. Last lot of sausage rolls in oven. Half the sandwiches made. Phew. Easily going to make it. Pride comes before a fall so lets hope I haven't jinxed myself. Party girl just phoned having a panic pants. I as usual am the queen of calm and I think I unnerved the poor girl despite my reassurance that all is well chez reckless!
Anyway thanks for new Fred @CricketMum84, yes, solidarity sister with our unconventional daughters - I have a couple of those including a school refuser who got no qualifications but ended up as an award winning bank manager. I promise you there is always hope. I can remember getting a phone call from the attendance officer at DD2's school threatening us with court/prison if DD didn't come to school. I said, go ahead - I can't think of anything I'd like more right now than being locked in a cell with a pile of paperbacks. Obviously no idea AT ALL about how stressful it is for mummies to see their children suffering and not being able to get school to understand that it certainly isn't one size fits all when it comes to education. [About which I'm truly passionate BTW] Rant over - sorry for temporarily derailing this lovely thread!]
Well done on all the losses everybody - I'm particularly amazed by all you exercisers and think that I may have managed to hit the target if I actually did some of that. Just too lazy. I don't think I'm going to change.
I hope @stepcat turns up soon. We had a black cat keep turning up here out of the blue and ended up feeding it as it seemed starving. Recklesscat was very unhappy about that so in the end it was Cats Protection League for little black cat. It turned out that in fact she was 18 and had dementia and only lived 5 doors away. Hope it's something like that @Onesmallstep.
