My dd had an indian takeaway last night, I resisted 'til she opened the poppadoms - I had a third of a poppadom and a half inch cube of bhaji. I could have easily eaten more but I didn't so I count that as half a fail Blush.
I was going to report my weight on Sunday but I'm finally through into the 13's. 13st 13.6lbs down from 14st 2.4lbs on the 1st.

BettyJean · 04/01/2020 13:56

Does anyone have any tips for some low cal salad dressings I can make and keep in the fridge?

Tryingtwo · 04/01/2020 14:10

My start weight this year was 14st 1.4lbs not 2.4lbs as stated above., so I'm 1.8 down not 2.8.

cricketmum84 · 04/01/2020 14:11

Accidentally ate a chocolate biscuit. And it definitely wasn't vegan. Arrrgggghhhh!

bluepixie · 04/01/2020 14:43

cricketmum84 · 04/01/2020 15:13

I've added it to ww tracker in an effort to be good.

Too much shit food still in the house. Had a snacktastrophy last night. Back on it today tho. Even managed to fight the good fight on a visit to Pret A Manger for lunch. 180 calories for a side of mushroom risotto soup with an avocado and crayfish salad (No dressing!). Also bought a few bits and pieces in the sales in a 14. I was a 22 six months ago. Yay!

Must ignore the rest of the Xmas leftover choccies and keep progressing...

WoollyFoolly · 04/01/2020 16:24

Ha, snacktastrophe here too today! Joining in the accidental goodies with 2 mince pies and a couple of biscuits 🤦‍♀️

KnucklesMcGinty · 04/01/2020 16:50

Ggaaahhh! Me too. I accidentally had a waffle at Creams.

Hellohello2020 · 04/01/2020 16:55

Diet starts Tommorow. Not convinced my scales are the best as I am 67kg according to them. Aim to be 57kg. Using my fitness Pal

cricketmum84 · 04/01/2020 16:56

Haha I'm just glad it's not just me 😂😂

My hormones made me eat a brownie.

beforeIhit30 · 04/01/2020 18:57

@Ihatesundays Grin

Mine made me eat two cookies last night... Blush and loads more with cream the night before

I am very wary of emotional eating, which is connected to my hormonal eating/more or less the same for me, so I’m very conscious of my motivation for eating... but I really wanted the cookies!

Thankfully I am over the hump - I get this every month, with ovulation, I have about two days of hormones spiking/cravings/heightened emotions.

Feeling more in control again today.
B: leftover Brie, nut roast, veg plus one chocolate 650 cals
L: small scoop ice-cream 200 cals
D: veg stirfry, leftover Brie, shot of gin liqueur 550 cals
5km run/hill-walked.

vixb1 · 04/01/2020 19:04

Can I join please?! Diet starts Monday. I had my second and last baby in October and now I need to get myself back to something that I don't detest!

Starting weight: 13st 7
Loss for January to 13st

I'm aiming to loose half a stone a month until I'm happier with where I am - wanting to be a comfortable size 14 bottom and 12 top - less if I can! :-)

Going to reduce carbs, cut out sugary snacks. I had GD when pregnant and lost weight on it but have piled it back on with comfort eating with a newborn and Christmas indulgence. No more eating cake for breakfast. Sad times! :-)

lilgreen · 04/01/2020 19:05

Hi all. I’m still lurking. I haven’t weighed this week after post Christmas gain. Decided to not think about it too much until I’m back to normal routine on Monday when I’m back to work.

Egghead68 · 04/01/2020 19:07

@BettyJean I like to dress my salads with vegetable soup or spicy tomato juice (Bloody Mary without the vodka) or just eat them plain. Appreciate this may be no help!

lilgreen · 04/01/2020 19:08

Low cal salad dressings.... hmmm... I’m thinking maybe a spray oil onto leaves with a spray of vinegar or lemon juice? I tend to use a tbsp of hummus or light mayo (50cals)

beforeIhit30 · 04/01/2020 19:17

Welcome @vixb1 and congratulations! It’s not been long since you had your baby so be gentle with yourself too - I say this as I had a brief period around 2 months pp where I was feeling really down about my weight and appearance, had to be reminded (regularly, by DH) not to be daft, that I’d had a baby, and that these things take time (and he is lovely and tells me I look lovely but that doesn’t always resonate with ourselves and our self perception sometimes!). I’m now 4 months pp, this is DC3 but there’s several years between DC2 and baby so I’m a bit like, “Oh, I’d managed to finally get slimmer, and fitter, and now I’m back here!”.

Reminds me that I need to start exercising too. I haven’t really pushed that and I really need to, not just for weight but for restoring some sense of fitness/physical strength and whatnot! Going to start a postpartum video - I need to commit to doing that on Monday once older DCs are back at school.

beforeIhit30 · 04/01/2020 19:19

Exercise video, that is, I’m not filming myself Grin

JessJonesJumps · 04/01/2020 19:22

There's an amazing ginger and maple syrup salad dressing that you can make (maple syrup optional). It's balsamic vinegar; olive oil; garlic; pepper; ginger; maple syrup; fresh orange juice (optional). It's supposed to accompany a brie and apple salad but it's great with everything. I'll see if I can find the exact recipe.

Egghead68 · 04/01/2020 19:35

Ooh that sounds good @JessJonesJumps.

Loving (and relating to) snacktastrophe!

recklessgran · 04/01/2020 20:00

Ha! Ha! I love the snacktastrophe term. That's going to be me soon I think. I survived Miller and Carter by having cheesy mushrooms and an undressed side salad. Jack Daniels and diet coke to drink. This was at 2.00pm and I'm not hungry yet. I don't think I'm going to last all evening without something else. I've got a sugar free orange jelly in the fridge and some over 85% cocoa chocolate so might have the jelly and a couple of squares of choc as a sort of supper. DH is sitting on the sofa tucking into a bowl of Lindt balls [lucky b***d is as skinny as a rake, eats for team GB and really doesn't get the whole weight issue that I have.] I'm too afraid to sit next to him as I know I will fall into the Lindt balls. Help! I think I'll go upstairs and put some laundry away or something to take my mind off it.

QueenOfOversharing · 04/01/2020 20:22

My whole day has been a snacktastrophe! I bought snack bits as friends coming round tomorrow afternoon. Fatal!

Right. Starting my fast NOW and will poke myself in the eye if I so much as look at any food before 1 tomorrow.
