My stats are:

Starting weight 13.4
Target weight 1 Feb 12.10

Fingers crossed and MFP at the ready.

TimesAreHardForDreamers · 03/01/2020 18:33

Not done too bad today.
Had a late breakfast so managed a 14 hour fast (easier to do 16 when the kids are back at school so just going with it for now till next week)
Breakfast- passionfruit yoghurt
Lunch- pitta with quorn Chicken slices, leaves and roast pepper, satsuma and edamame beans
Dinner- salmon stir fry, which was totally gorgeous!
Unfortunately we still have christmas stuff around so I had a couple of bits of turkish delight, but compared to the last few weeks, I'll take it!
I do need to work on drinking more water though.

Kitchen is now closed, I'm going to submerge myself in a book once the kids are in bed

KnucklesMcGinty · 03/01/2020 19:44

Times I'm also struggling to get back into the routine. I managed a 16 hour fast, but during the other 8 hours I think I ate everything! I don't eat so much when I do regular exercise, so hopefully I'll start getting on it next week. Onwards & downwards!

cricketmum84 · 03/01/2020 20:04

Thanks @recklessgran :)

We don't have a specific weigh in day no. Just as we go along as it differs depending on how often everyone weighs.

I tend to post weight daily unless I get grumpy with the scales and refuse to go near them lol!

Well!
I ate my dinner and decided to open a pack of sweets a neighbour gave us (liquid salted caramel encased in dark chocolate and rolled in cocoa powder) and have a piece or two as dessert.

I inhaled 2/3 of the packet, damn those infernal things.

Egghead68 · 03/01/2020 22:19

Those sound irresistible @7worfs. After a super-super-stressful day at work (just back after a 7am start) I’ve finished all my leftover trifle, chocolate ginger and champagne and some of the Brie.

Must. Get. Back. On. The. Wagon.

tibni · 03/01/2020 22:43

This time of year is so difficult with all the treats around.
Today has been ok (ish) calorie wise but not the best nutritionally. Tomorrow is last full day before dd returns to her study abroad year so she is being indulged with British food treats. Lunch out today (but I balanced calories rest of day) and tomorrow out for breakfast and she's requested a dominos for Saturday dinner! But I will try and enjoy in moderation!!!!!

recklessgran · 03/01/2020 23:02

I have surprised myself and managed an all day fast and just had dinner at 6.00pm. 3 rashers of bacon, two eggs fried in butter, a large flat mushroom and tomato. Feeling good, not at all hungry and drinking loads of water as per keto instructions. That's the first time I've tried only one meal in a day. I'm going to do it 2 days per week in the hope of boosting my loss as God knows I've got a lot to lose! I've got everything crossed that I'm going to be able to keep this up. I have given bestie a carrier bag full of Christmas cake, sweets and savouries as I'm struggling to ignore them. She was thrilled and so was I to see them safely out of the house. Hope everyone else is doing O.K.

DownUdderer · 03/01/2020 23:08

I’m down a pound this morning, I’ve dropped the two pounds I gained over the week between Xmas day and New Year’s Day. I’m relieved!

I like to weigh daily otherwise it’s too easy for me to mindlessly snack and have a gain.

I follow 16:8 and I don’t eat anything after my evening meal. I just drink water if I think I want something. My best days are when I’ve drunk loads of water, non stop!

I’m 6 lb from my target weight! I’ve got an old dress in the washing machine and when it’s out and dried off I’m trying it on to see if it is still too tight!

DownUdderer · 04/01/2020 01:21

My dress dried in no time today because it's seriously boiling hot outside! Anyway I've tried it on and it fits. I bought it years ago and only fit into it once, about four years ago.

Egghead68 · 04/01/2020 08:05

Morning. Some nice losses.

65.0kg. Plan: get rid of the Christmas leftovers once and for all, jog 5km (parkrun if I can get myself out of bed else treadmill).

Happy Saturday everyone.

HRHPrincessMegan · 04/01/2020 09:16

Morning

7Worfs - I can completely relate to that. I have little self control once I get my first taste of sugar. I wish I could nibble on a single square of chocolate but alas it becomes a frenzied attack on the entire bar.

I struggle with fasting. I used to follow the 5:2 and a low carb diet when I had an office job but found that I would binge on sweet things at the weekend. I am starting a new job next month after a very long break and I am slightly worried about the impact of being sedentary will have on me.

Great job DownUdderer.

QueenOfOversharing · 04/01/2020 09:34

Shite day yesterday - think my first mistake was not putting my food in MFP.

Anyway, new day & all that. Good to read you are all doing much better.

@recklessgran in awe of your one meal a day - I'm aiming to try that soon. Read such good things about IF & including that.

Upupandiwent · 04/01/2020 09:45

I've just weighed myself and I've lost 3.5lbs since yesterday! I know it's only water at the moment (and it might go up again tomorrow) but it's given me a real boost to keep going.
I've been vaguely doing 16:8 for a few days and I'd just started to cut down calories as well, before I 'officially' started my diet yesterday, so this has probably been building up over a few days. Still, I'm chuffed!
I've got a meal at a friend's house tonight, we're ordering in a takeaway curry. I'm going to do my best not to undo the good work! Any tips for the best thing to order that's not too fattening?

Ihatesundays · 04/01/2020 09:47

Back down to 72kg on the button AGAIN.....
Doing Fitness Blender 5 day challenge, it’s hard but can see the difference.

JessJonesJumps · 04/01/2020 10:14

DownUdderer great news on the dress!

I'm down 1lb this morning.

I've been so caught up in low carbing and low calorie the last few years that I sometimes worry I don't know how to eat healthily. I've read so many different approaches. atm I'm just opting for lots of salad and less snacks.

7Worfs · 04/01/2020 10:20

Happy Saturday!
Great to read positive updates; I can’t contribute today as I’m 0.3kg heavier than yesterday, but I’m dusting myself off and carrying on.

Added an hour to my fast this morning. Will try to eat a bit less today.

B - peanut butter on toast
L - mushroom omelette
D - leftover lentils, bacon and broccoli stew

cricketmum84 · 04/01/2020 10:29

Morning all :)

Official ww weigh in day for me and I'm 2lbs down since the start of the month. Fingers crossed I can keep that up!

Day 4 of veganuary and I'm finding it so hard!! Everything seems to contain milk right now lol! I thought that as I already didn't eat meat, milk or butter that I would find it easy but it just seems to be in everything! Plus there is still cheese in my fridge. Which is totally unfair.

Plan for today is blueberries and grapes with soy yoghurt about 1pm. Dinner is a Linda McCartney burger with plenty of salad.

Hope everyone has a fun Saturday!

NerrSnerr · 04/01/2020 10:54

I managed a yoga class this morning, think I'll ache later. I'm still finishing off the Christmas food and drink so the healthy eating will start on Monday. Hoping to do another exercise class tomorrow too.

recklessgran · 04/01/2020 11:36

Morning all. Dangerous day for me today as we are going to see DD3 who has booked a table for a late lunch at Miller and Carter.
Mmm well, I'm still sporting my HUGE bread baby but I'm going to look at the menu to see what I can have on Keto before we leave so that I'm prepared. I'm so determined now as I'm down to 13st 12.5 from 14st 3.75 on Monday. Hope everyone has a good day too - will report back later, so that should make me accountable!

cricketmum84 · 04/01/2020 11:52

@Upupandiwent best thing to order from an Indian takeaway is the grilled chicken tikka kebab with salad. The meat is grilled and no sauce. Before I went veggie this was my go to takeaway and I never gained!

Trewser · 04/01/2020 11:54

Down 3lbs today! Really relieved.

MsTSwift · 04/01/2020 12:06

Great tip thanks cricket

Thrilled at my weight loss on 16 8 lost 1.5 stone so 10kg in 3 months. However now massively plateaued! Anyone else had this? I should be pleased not gained over Christmas and my bmi is now normal (was 27 overweight now 22). But haven’t lost for ages and being pretty good - exercising fasting etc. Anyone else? Maybe this is the weight I’m supposed to be ? (10 st 4 am 5 6 now dress size 12). But would love to be sub 10 stone size 10!

Upupandiwent · 04/01/2020 12:23

cricketmum good idea! I think I might give in to a poppadom though. 😊
Everyone seems to be doing so well. I think the key is being prepared.

bluepixie · 04/01/2020 12:49

Morning all. Wow @MsTSwift I’m also 5.6 and aiming to get to 10.7 as my first goal. But I just can’t get much lower than 10.11 coz I basically feel better and give up! How did you do it ?
I’m on 10.13 so hopefully in 2 days all Xmas weight will be gone.
B - yoghurt rasberries
L-home made Greek salad
Dinner - trying out this cod pesto thing
Snack - dark choc rice cake-divine!
