B: Smoothie pot 350 Fruit salad 140 half mini christmas pudding 175
S: 3 chocolate thins 100
L: Mini cheese souffle 250 mixed salads 300
S: Dried mango 250, watermelon fingers 40

cricketmum84 · 21/01/2020 16:59

Not done too badly so far. Had a satsuma and a bag of those pea crisps. Surprisingly the chorizo flavour are vegan!

Had a Greggs winter vegetable soup for a late lunch. Very delicious and only 5 ww points so was happy with that.

Well. A bloody frustrating day Angry weighed myself this morning, I've gained approximately 8lbs since November. Its my own fault but its such a back slide and I'm halfway back to where I started. I'm hoping some of it is water weight that will whoosh off though.

Then I went for my first 5k run in a good couple of months, it took me 40 minutes Angry I'm glad I went but just feel like it's a double whammy on the setbacks.

Haven't let the frustration manifest into comfort eating which is a plus, and stuck with my 16:8 fasting again!

Today's food:
L: Hummus and crackers
D: prawn and mushroom stir fry
Snacks: go ahead bar, lentil curls, stick of cheese, latte and maltesers

I'm definitely having too many processed snacks atm so will get thinking this week about how I can still get a decent calorie intake without so many sugary/carby snacks.

peachgreen · 21/01/2020 18:20

Shit day today. Weigh in was good, the weekend blip was forgotten and I was back to 4.5lbs down but then today I ate two slices of toast for breakfast, a small bowl of tomato pasta for lunch and had two milky coffees with sugar. Gah. Chicken soup for tea but I don't think it'll cancel that out. Carbs are my downfall!

y0rkier0se · 21/01/2020 19:04

Very fed up to find I’m STILL 16”4 despite upping my steps to 10k a day and eating less than 1200 kcals. Means I’m only 4lb down in 2 weeks. Felt really down this morning but have carried on, although if I don’t see a loss by Friday I know I’ll end up having a “fuck it” weekend.

y0rkier0se · 21/01/2020 19:05

That doesn’t sound too bad @peachgreen, don’t kick yourself, it’s not like you’ve eaten a pizza!

Lookingforpizza · 21/01/2020 19:26

Keep going with it @y0rkier0se - 4lbs in 2 weeks is still great and if you're going under 1200 cals you're bound to see some results!

@peachgreen that doesn't sound too disastrous but not sure what your usual plan is. Each day is a new one, one minor slip won't undo everything!

cricketmum84 · 21/01/2020 19:32

@y0rkier0se that's a really good result!!

I'm only 1lb down since jan start weight. Really hope I can lose more in the next 10 days!

Dh has just announced that he has lost half a stone and is now 12st 11lbs. He is not on a diet! He eats a great big wedge of cheese each night before bed and a packet of crisps and at least a pint of beer fgs. He regularly eats sweets and chocolate in addition to his 3 meals a day and apart from walking about a mile each work day is inactive, this is so bloody unfair. Rant over.
One of my private targets was to weigh less than him and he has moved the damn goalposts again - he did this last time I lost weight, 6 years ago, he went from 14st to 13st 7lbs just as I reached 14st. I know it's a coincidence as I don't tell him how much I weigh - ever.

peachgreen · 21/01/2020 20:57

Carbs are really bad for me because I have PCOS so they just turn straight into sugar. I'd rather go over my calorie allowance with protein than stay within it and have eaten loads of carbs. I wouldn't normally let myself have carbs at both breakfast and lunch. Finding it much harder to stay on plan at home than when I'm at work!

y0rkier0se · 21/01/2020 22:06

Thanks for your encouragement, really really hoping to see a loss in the morning as I feel really discouraged - I have friends doing slimming world who have lost half a stone in their first week/two weeks Sad

DownUdderer · 22/01/2020 03:52

I’ve gone well with food so far today. I wore a new dress today and felt great in it. I’m going to a have a banana in a minute for an afternoon snack. I think I’ll have meat and veggies for dinner. I’m trying to drink plenty of water, it really does wonders for me when I get enough. Good luck everyone.

Egghead68 · 22/01/2020 06:50

Glad about the new dress @downudderer.

65.2kg. Plan:
B Mushroom pasta (needs eating up) 600
L Tofu & mushroom stew 480
S chocolate thins 100
D cheese soufflé 250 veg 50
Exercise: treadmill

cricketmum84 · 22/01/2020 07:17

Morning my lovelies!

I caved a little last night and had 2 of my new vegan chocolatier hazelnut pralines. Stopped at 2 though and tracked them in ww. They took me into my weekly points but they were delicious and it's the first time I've been into weeklies since Friday. I think we all need a little treat sometimes.

Weight not moved since yesterday but that's fine. I'm hoping for another drop in the next couple of days.

Plan for today is:
B - 2 satsumas and peppermint tea
S - aldi pea snacks and 2 plums
L - the Greggs winter veg soup if I'm still hungry
D - am thinking about a spicy seasoned roasted veg tray, thin slices of butternut squash and fresh beetroot with peppers, onions and tomatoes. It's all about the veg today!

Love a new dress @DownUdderer! Especially when you feel good in it!

Ain't that just the problem with men @Tryingtwo! Mine can literally eat anything and not put an ounce on, I'm sat there on an evening with a little plate of veg and he has a loaded plateful! Plus chocolate every night. If I hate half of what he did I would pile the weight back on!

Happy Wednesday everyone! Halfway through the week already! Have a good one!

Ugh scales maintaining the same again this morning. I think I had a big initial loss and now its slowing but it's so disheartening after being so 'good'. Why is this so hard!

JontyDoggle37 · 22/01/2020 07:41

@Tryingtwo think of it that he’s helping you set new targets! (That my attempt at a positive spin on what must be a really frustrating situation)
@peachgreen I find weekends when I’m at home awful too
@DownUdderer god news about the dress!
@JessJonesJumps I’m here! 🖐
0.4 of a pound up today but more motivation to buckle down and get on with it! Light workout done (still have horrible cough so taking it easy). Now to avoid wine at a business event later....

Ihatesundays · 22/01/2020 07:43

Scales stuck again. Worked out last night and totally wiped myself out doing it.
Really hoping scales start to move this week. I’m still shrinking from exercise though at least!

MsTSwift · 22/01/2020 08:02

Scales a few pounds down despite no exercise as still end of cold energy lack. Proves it’s about the food rather than exercise. Am now 10 stone 63 kg. In early Oct I was 11st 9 76 kg.

Last year I was popping out of my borrowed size 14 ski saloupettes yesterday I purchased my own - size 10.

Broadly keeping to 16 8. No breakfast just tea and coffee. Lunch of soup or salad and fishcake and poached egg. Normal dinner (veg curry with rice or salmon veg and couscous) but on small breakfast plate. Snacks carrots or ryvita but appetite massively shrunk.

NerrSnerr · 22/01/2020 08:54

I had a poorly day yesterday with stomach pains, shivers and feeling really sick so didn't have any tea. Down one more pound so I'm now 11st 6 which is 7lb lost this month!

I still have a bit of belly ache today so can't see myself eating loads today. Just got to try not to eat everything in sight when I'm feeling better!

JessJonesJumps · 22/01/2020 08:58

Hey jonty I'm very impressed you've done a workout already especially with a cold.
I'm down almost half a pound since yesterday but the problem is I put on so much over the weekend that I still weigh more than I did last Wed. I'm hoping for a whoosh tomorrow for my weigh-in day otherwise I doubt I'll lose 7lbs this month.

Onesmallstep67 · 22/01/2020 09:07

Back to 15st 7lbs this morning ( -4 lbs for January so far )
Had a sensible eating day yesterday, drank more water than I usually do and did 14k on the exercise bike.
Well done everyone sticking with it. Hope those of you feeling rough have a better day. Wink

Tryingtwo · 22/01/2020 09:50

Thanks cricketmum84 and JontyDoggle37. Now I'm over my snit, my positive spin is that it's good that he is now only 4lbs away from being in his healthy weight range.
Congrats to those who have lost or maintained this week, it is all getting to be a bit of a grind now after the excitement and optimism of the new year but we can do this.
My rate of loss has slowed as, at my weekly weigh in today, I'm 1.2 down at 13st 8lbs whereas I had been losing 2+ per week. I want to lose at least the same by the 31st so I can start February under 13 and a half stones even if it's only by 0.2lbs

Skyejuly · 22/01/2020 10:35

I shouldnt weigh daily as I am still 12lbs down for January....but it is annoying!

Great losses everyone.

Somesortofzilla · 22/01/2020 11:29

Afternoon everyone!

Congrats on your weight-loss @cricketmum84, never heard of doing that with beetroot stalks. And I grow it in the garden and always throw them away, I'll try that now!

@onesmallstep67 that's brilliant! Glad you're feeling so good about it all!

Get well soon @MsTSwift and congrats on the NSV!

@BeyobdFlubeInclusionaryRF that's fab well done!

@JessJonesJumps good note, I will try a new exercise routine

@recklessgran That's fab! I love having a look at the clothes that I'll be wearing as my belly shrinks, it can only get better! Scotch eggs sound delicious, all the recipes on here are fab. I had a lovely busty (I prefer this, currently a EE cup) day thank you. I have decided to grey rock cockwomble and pretend he doesn't exist. How's today going?

@KnucklesMcGinty I have had that feeling, friend of mine always says we spent so much of our youth convinced we're giant, looking back we were perfect. I couldn't hope to get a baby toe into some of those dresses now, never mind pull them past my arse!

@Lookingforpizza that's hard, but it's great you didn't jump back into the biscuit tin!

FD both went really well Mon and Tues, and this morning's weigh in was a maintain. I haven't 'gone' since Saturday though (TMI I know), I'm guessing that was all the sugar and salt so hopefully I can drop a small bit for next week Grin

My stats are:
Starting weight: 102.1kg
Jan target: 93.5kg
Loss for this week: 0kg
Loss so far: 7.7kg

Onward and downward!

recklessgran · 22/01/2020 11:34

Morning everyone. I'm still doing O.K. and weight down today after 4 days of being static. Not sure what my food plan is but will use up the last Scotch egg I made for lunch and probably have a pork chop with cheesy mushrooms for dinner. Not the healthiest as I should be eating lots of green veg so might go and get some broccoli to go with it.
@peachgreen do you think that Keto might work better for you? It's been an absolute revelation for me even though I was very sceptical in the beginning. I'm only asking because carbs are like my own personal crack and I've realised after years of struggling unsuccessfully with different diets that the only way for me to lose any meaningful weight is with the Keto diet which rules out bread [my biggest problem] altogether.
