I wish I could stop weighing dailyConfused

recklessgran · 20/01/2020 10:07

Morning all - today is my weekly weigh day.
Last week; 13st 9.5lbs
Today; 13st 6.25lbs
Very happy with that 3.25lbs. That means that I've lost a total of 11.5 lbs since I started on 29/12. I'm completely hooked for now.
Last night was fab and I just had a prawn cocktail [obviously no bread] alongside a side salad together as a main course. J.D. and diet coke and a glass of prosecco [essential for the toast] Cake was very well received by all but I managed to resist that. DGS took the remainder to his g/f's house thank goodness.
@cricketmum84 I'm so glad that OMAD is working for you. I try to do it on Mondays and Thursdays alongside the Keto. I know it's quite brutal but I'm impatient for results and I've always been a bit extremist. [hence my username which is the result of a family joke.] I still need to do something about my steps though. Last week's average was a pathetic 2,600 steps per day. I'm really ashamed about just how inactive I am.
Hope everyone has a good day. Waving to @somesortofzilla - I'm missing you and hope you're O.K?

cricketmum84 · 20/01/2020 10:45

That's amazing loss so far @recklessgran well done!

I don't think I could do OMAD on office days but I could stick to it Saturday - Monday. Especially if it keeps giving me losses!

My steps are also very low. Result of driving to and from work everyday, working very long hours with very few breaks and just not having time to exercise! DH has just ordered me an Apple Watch through his work benefits thing so I'm really hoping that it encourages me to up exercise a bit!

Morning all!

Right, I'm on it, I'm done, he's getting no more head space. I'm getting my legal aid sorted, meeting solicitor this week who should hopefully have a copy of his complaints and then court next week. Judge very kindly slipped it in as an emergency hearing for him Hmm

Thanks everyone for all your kind words and support, and permission to go mad Grin you're a great bunch Flowers

Weekend was lovely, freezing, but lovely, got out for a walk and I didn't go as mad as I could have so I'm pleased. Expecting a gain this week but I'm ok with that.

@recklessgran oh my that cake is something else! Hope he was thrilled with it! Good luck today Grin

@cricketmum84 that's brilliant news!

@Vebrithien oh I'm thrilled for you, good plan on the breakfast!

Good luck for the week everyone, FD today and tomorrow for me (try and undo some of the damage I did over the weekend) weigh day Wednesday. We can do this!

Somesortofzilla · 20/01/2020 10:57

@recklessgran that's amazing! Congratulations! Your self control is only something else!

I'm good, I had my moment and a good cry, it was cathartic. I'm lucky I have such amazing friends and you lot keeping on the straight and narrow Grin

JessJonesJumps · 20/01/2020 10:57

I've put on 1.6lbs in total over the weekend proving hours of active gardening is no match for eating too much. Fingers crossed I can turn it round today. 🤞

Ihatesundays · 20/01/2020 11:08

Heavier today. But things have been a big sluggish and I had a big dinner last night.
180 days till I go on holiday. Surely I can lose another stone by then?
Starving though. Struggling with 16:8 at the mwoment

cricketmum84 · 20/01/2020 11:11

cricket that delivery looks fab. Is it from a local firm or one of the national ones?

Tryingtwo · 20/01/2020 11:42

Good morning all. Congrats to you with losses especially cricketmum84 and recklessgran (sorry if I've missed anyone with equally good lisses from the ladt page)
Somesortofzilla glad you're feeling positive.
Vebrithien nice news Smile
JessJonesJumps snap. I'm also 1.6lbs up from my lowest weight this week or 0.8lb up from my weigh in on Wednesday.
I'm disappointed with myself - no excuse just being greedy and eating for the sake of it. Back to plan today so far, porridge for breakfast (221 cals) and I'm working through my second pint of water. Probably soup or a mushroom omelette for lunch and an under 400 cal ready meal plus veg for dinner. Snacks will be fruit, 10g almonds or a babybel. No more than 1250 cals today.

Onesmallstep67 · 20/01/2020 11:52

Feeling a bit at sixes and sevens today. Technically should be TOTM but perimenopause messing with cycles. having hit and maintained a low of 15. 7 for about 3 days last week I am somehow back up to 15.10 so feeling demoralised. Partly myself to blame with rubbish I consumed but it didn't feel like 3lbs worth !
I usually try not to give myself too hard a time about my weight and be philosophical about the progress I have made overall. Life just feels a bit lacking in fun and laughter at the moment and not sure how to improve things as some of it is beyond my control. I guess it's a case of riding it out until something improves or shifts, as it has done so many times in the last few years. Hmm

cricketmum84 · 20/01/2020 11:57

@JessJonesJumps it's a local company that source most of their products in the local area. Less food miles and much much fresher produce. I'm also finding it much better value than the supermarkets. The box pictured cost me £7.40 with free delivery. They cover Leeds, Bradford and Wakefield.

Skyejuly · 20/01/2020 12:06

Oh veg box looks brilliant

Lily1234567 · 20/01/2020 12:29

@cricketmum84 that veg box looks amazing! What is the name of the company? That is an amazing deal!

Love this group, I wish I had seen it before. I've just signed up to an online personal trainer which is going really well, she has given great workouts that I can do from home and is doing a good job at holding me accountable Grin

Lookingforpizza · 20/01/2020 12:35

Can I join on this thread very late with the intention of carrying on into February Grin

I started a new job towards the end of last year and all my routine etc went out the window. I've not yet weighed myself to see the damage I did over Christmas and the new year, but feeling very motivated to get back to healthy eating and exercise. Also trying to save money as well so should be spending far less on treats and takeaways.

I've done my first 16:8 fast of the year this morning and got through it easily!

Today's food:
L: Tomato and three bean soup (low fat)
D: Prawn curry with a tomato base and lots of veg and mashed sweet potato
Snacks: Tangerine, lentil curls, go ahead bar, some maltesers and a couple of teas/coffees with milk.

I've also walked the whole way to work today and intend to walk the whole way home via the supermarket!

Will weigh myself tomorrow morning following a healthy day today Blush

cricketmum84 · 20/01/2020 12:41

@Lily1234567 it's Veg2table Leeds. They have a website and a Facebook group. They are really new but I'm loving them so far.

Welcome back @Lookingforpizza! Lovely to see you again :)

OP posts:
JessJonesJumps · 20/01/2020 13:05

cricket you've inspired me to check and see if we have any local veg box companies. We've not been in this area for very long so I haven't checked yet.

DdJames · 20/01/2020 13:58

I try to keep up with all the posts on here, I do need to post more regularly though to help keep me motivated.

Weighed in at 229.5lbs this morning so I'm down 8.5lb for the month so far.

I know it's a slow process but I just want it done, I've lost a total of 43lbs, just under half of my original target.

Egghead68 · 20/01/2020 15:04

Ate everything I'd planned plus a chocolate muffin. Just not in the zone at the moment. Hope everyone's doing better than me!

recklessgran · 20/01/2020 16:06

I fell off the OMAD wagon this afternoon and ate a chunk of cheese. I was so hungry and I know you're not meant to be hungry at all on Keto. I think I didn't have enough fat or protein yesterday. Lesson learned. I found a way to make Keto scotch eggs so I'm currently boiling 4 eggs to give it a go. Apparently you wrap the eggs in the sausagemeat [I've got some Tesco finest which is VLCarb] then roll in some melted butter then parmesan mixed with some herbs/chilli or whatever and bake in the oven at 180 for 30 minutes. I'm planning to have one of these tonight [or maybe 2!] with that lovely Italian salad.
I've got a stew in the slow cooker for DH and DD1 who has come to stay for a couple of days, bless her - she has L.D's but lives independently and is the happiest soul you could ever wish to meet. She comes to stay at least once a month for 2 or 3 days and enjoys being pampered.
@cricketmum84 that veg box looks amazing and makes me think that I should be going to the farm shop for ours. No excuse.
To all those struggling you do know that this is supposed to be the worst/most depressing day of the year which means it can only get better from here. Be kind to yourselves!

Egghead68 · 20/01/2020 16:20

@recklessgran that is interesting that this is the most depressing day of the year! Certainly feels like it, for reasons I can't put my finger on.

Onwards and up/downwards!

Skyejuly · 20/01/2020 20:55

Yep I'm off to bed early as I want a giant brownie.

Tryingtwo · 20/01/2020 21:27

Those scotch eggs sound delicious recklessgran
I stayed on plan today and finished on 1243 cals with 3.75 pints of water drunk (and 1 cup of tea with a dash of milk). I'm not hungry at all but want to eat regardless - I'm not going to but it looks like an early night for me too

cricketmum84 · 20/01/2020 21:27

If you have never tried - sautéed beetroot stalks and leaves are absolutely delicious! Can't believe I've always binned them!
