Shorts are always so different to trousers arnt they. They don't always make you feel good!

So I resisted kfc and had a salad and corn on cob. So boring. Also resisted birthday cake.

Am -2lb this morning and finally dropped under the 10st marker...for now...I usually fluctuate back up...but hey heading the right way!

1 boiled egg,, spinach and 2 cracker bread for late brekky x

cricketmum84 · 19/01/2020 12:15

Fantastic looking cake @recklessgran.

Am whispering this morning as I definitely had too much gin last night! We picked up some of the new vegan snacky type bits from Asda, chicken style bites. Sweet potato fritters, no-zerella dippers (awful), dirty fries (awful), spring rolls (ok) so I didn't really eat much to be honest! Hence the head...

Plan for today is ALLLLLL the water! I'm going to slice up some watermelon in a little bit as lovely DH picked up a huge one yesterday after I had been fancying it. Dinner is a quorn gammon style steak (2sp) with cauliflower and broccoli.

Have a lovely Sunday everyone!

0.02lb gain from the Chinese and half a bottle of wine so I'm happy with that. Back to it today. I expect I'll keep seeing the effects for a few days so not hoping for anything much loss-wise until midweek.

peachgreen · 19/01/2020 12:32

Am craving watermelon now @cricketmum84!

Crazzzycat · 19/01/2020 12:32

We had a birthday party yesterday (not mine!) so I ended up eating a little bit more than strictly necessary, but I’m not going to fret about that.

I’m back on track today. Spicy bean wrap for lunch and spicy pasta with veggie sausages for dinner. I’m not sure about snacks yet

JessJonesJumps · 19/01/2020 12:40

Well, I had pizza for dinner and have just had some for lunch so that indicates how my weekend is going. Blush Plus I had hardly any sleep last night and my eating window yesterday was too wide.

The rest of today is going to have be focused on damage limitation.

Egghead68 · 19/01/2020 12:42

Nice loss @Skyejuly and nice NSV @Ihatesundays.

I’ve eaten all my nuts, my rainbow pie and a Gregg’s pastry Blush

JessJonesJumps · 19/01/2020 12:57

Oh, Egghead I empathise. I'm trying to force myself into the garden to stop myself from eating but really this weekend feels like a lost cost. Although I've just remembered I did have a tiny NSV yesterday. I bought a skirt with a belt in the autumn and yesterday I had to fasten the belt in the last hole to stop the skirt slipping down to my hips. That may be the total of my success for this weekend.

NerrSnerr · 19/01/2020 13:12

Happy Sunday everyone. I dragged myself out to a spin class earlier and will take the children swimming later (they're 5 and 2 so it's more standing around in the pool than swimming). I have been feeling a bit despondent about my weight the last few days, how I let myself get this big and how long it will take to get to where I want to be. I can't change the past though and need to keep plodding on one pound at a time.

Egghead68 · 19/01/2020 16:14

Thanks @JJJ. It is definitely harder at the weekend!

@NerSnerr - we all get like that sometime but getting despondent won’t move you forward. You are taking steps now to improve your health which is great.

AdventureTravelDreamer · 19/01/2020 17:13

@cricketmum84 could you tell me how you do the mushroom orzo dish you have please. I thought you had posted it but I can't seem to find it!

cricketmum84 · 19/01/2020 17:54

@AdventureTravelDreamer it's turning into quite a long thread to go back and find things isn't it 🥰 love it!

For one person:
Spritz of oil in a frying pan and add a handful of thinly sliced mushrooms (I like chestnut) and a crushed cloves of garlic and a little thyme. Gently fry until the mushrooms soften. Then add a handful of dried orzo, give it a stir until all juices absorbed like you would with a risotto. Then add 75ml boiling water and half a veg stock cube and keep stirring until orzo is cooked adding more water if needed. Season with salt and pepper. Enjoy!

Sorry just to add - be careful not to add too much water Cos you want it like a creamy risotto texture

Weighed in at 16.4 this morning so lost 1 of the two pounds put on yesterday morning from the gin. Had a beautiful 6 mile walk this morning and I’ve eaten 1500 kcals. Hoping to be 16.3 in the morning!

Thank you so much @cricketmum84 Grin

Tryingtwo · 19/01/2020 21:45

Hello all, generally rubbish weekend. I started snacking yesterday pm and did the same today. Sts this morning I am expecting a gain tomorrow.

JessJonesJumps · 19/01/2020 21:53

I'm finishing today on even more calories than yesterday but I did spend two hours gardening so it will be interesting to see if that has any impact.
I need to get back on track tomorrow.

ValentineFizz · 19/01/2020 23:21

I know I keep saying it but reading about all of your losses, motivations, recipe tips etc is inspirational for me so thank you all! Sunday is official weigh day for me so 2lb down this week making 5lb in total since I started on 6th January, I'm delighted with this. I had too much wine last night just hoping it's not going to have too much of an impact Confused

I hope everyone has a great week.

Egghead68 · 20/01/2020 06:09

Morning. 65.2kg

Plan:
B: various salads, roasted edamame 500
L: same as breakfast 500
S: Fruit salad, boiled edamame 420 cals
D: options hot choc 60 cals
5km on the treadmill.

Vebrithien · 20/01/2020 06:50

Good morning all!
Some very good work here, I love reading about how you are all doing.
Had to get dressed up for a baptism yesterday, and realised my tummy had popped! That was fine for yesterday, as our friends know, but I'm back in my older, bigger clothes today. Some friends at school don't know yet, and I'd rather they didn't just see/find out that way!
There isn't any mistaking it though, very different shape to my fat tummy! I do still have a waist though.
I'm going to stick with wholemeal toast, or porridge for breakfasts this week and soup for lunch. That way, I can keep a handle on what I'm eating.
Have a good week all.

KnucklesMcGinty · 20/01/2020 07:17

I accidentally had a pastry, then a burger and chips yesterday. Both were delicious!
So I maintained over the week. Back on it this week though!

cricketmum84 · 20/01/2020 07:28

Well OMAD seems to have worked over the weekend as I'm 2lbs down since Saturday am. I know I know I said I wouldn't weigh now until next Saturday but I couldn't resist it!

I think I will try another OMAD day today and power through my watermelon again later this morning. Dinner is jerk seasoned roast butternut squash slices with salad. I picked up a vegan honey and mustard style dressing from Aldi that I'm looking forward to trying!

Very very busy day at work for me today so I may be a bit quiet during the day but will read back through properly this evening :)

Have a lovely Monday everyone :)

Vebr wow! A pregnant bump! Love it!

Good loss there cricketmum!

I'm still sort of trying to be better than terrible but also not making great choices every single time. I just need the kids back at school! I've got 7 days till school starts back. We did school shoe shopping today!

I had a sausage and veggies for dinner with some grated cheese. Yum.

Egghead68 · 20/01/2020 08:03

Woohoo @cricketmum84!!!

peachgreen · 20/01/2020 09:19

Well, my naughty weekend came back to bite me - up over a pound this morning. Boo. I deserve it though! Back on plan this week with a vengeance and reminding myself that I'm doing this in the long term so I have to allow myself treats every now and again or I'll fall off the wagon entirely. Still a 3lb loss this month so far, and I'm hoping this extra lb will come off pretty fast so still hoping to hit the 7lb goal. Soup for dinner tonight which will help.
