Hello lovely losers!

All are welcome here, oldies, newbies, lurkers and watchers. There is a huge range of starting weights and weight loss methods.

All I ask for is the same positivity and support that we have seen on every thread so far.

My stats are:
Starting weight: 18.13
Jan target: 18.6
Loss for December: maintained
Loss so far: 6 stone 5lbs

I'll be following 16:8 and WW purple plan.

Let's get ready to smash January! (As soon as the cheese and trifles have gone 😂)

Morning all, quick check in before I leave for work. No idea what I'm having for lunch and DH has said he will do chickpea and cauliflower curry for dinner.
Have a good day all Grin

AdventureTravelDreamer · 13/01/2020 07:59

@recklessgran is the swanky gym a DL? If so I know people who have negotiated there monthly fee so I think they don't list them as the sales team do have some discretion. Ours also offer an off peak price and a non rackets price if you aren't going to use the courts. If they are actively trying to encourage you to come back then maybe they need the numbers atm so you may be able to get a good deal.....

AdventureTravelDreamer · 13/01/2020 08:00

**their monthly!!!

DownUdderer · 13/01/2020 08:01

It's early evening for me and it's the danger zone for snacking! I'm going to resist!

cricketmum84 · 13/01/2020 08:23

Good morning all! Day 13 today and I'm still 1lb up on jan starting weight. Severely unimpressed but really focusing on tracking this week and getting a decent loss.

I used my weekly points this weekend so really need to stay within dailies and focus on free foods.

Plan for today is:
B (10am-ish) alpro yoghurt, blueberries and 20g granola
Snack - apple and satsuma
D - lentil cottage pie with celeriac mash with lots of broccoli and cauliflower. Looking forward to this as the veg delivery place reckons they were only picked this morning!

Only 3 points used in total as mostly free foods but should be filling enough for me to stay away from any extras. And I could sneak a strip of chocolate as long as I weigh it and point it.

Wfh today and it's my long 12 hour day so definitely no time for exercise. Contemplating getting up super early tomorrow for a walk but it's a bit scary round here when it's so dark!

Anyway.. have a great Monday everyone! Xx

Morning everyone
Back today
Will weigh tmtw but expecting some damage! Was good on Friday then progressively went downhill to the point of eating a choc crossiant for brekkie (a long with a lot more!) hoping it’s mainly water weight but I feel very bloated!
Will catch up on thread soon
Have a good week everyone x

bluepixie · 13/01/2020 09:00

Just caught up quickly
Well done for ur losses to those who have lost. And well done @Egghead68 for staying strong and not getting disheaterened ur so close to ur goal!
@cricketmum84 keep going it’s got to come off soon, u have already lost so much maybe body just gonna stall and then suddenly drop off!
I managed 20000 steps every day while away but no amount of steps will have counteracted my eating! Hoping as only 3 days will be off in 2 days??? I’m feeling so bloated and horrible!

bluepixie · 13/01/2020 09:01

Ps anyone got a good quick prawn stir fry recipie? I’m bored of mine and think I’m gonna eat that for next day or 2-prawns always good for low cal for me

cricketmum84 · 13/01/2020 09:09

Welcome home @Cream123 hope you had a lovely time!

I'm going to nag DH to get the bike out of the garage when he gets home from work. At my old job a few years ago I had free gym membership just over the road and an hour lunch break and would cycle 5k everyday on the exercise bike. I felt so strong and healthy and would love to feel like that again.

I don't do prawns but DDS loves them. She always stir fry's them with sesame oil, garlic, chilli, ginger and lemongrass and they do smell pretty good! Then throws in a load of thinly sliced veg and some noodles.

@cricketmum84 I need to get my bike out and it needs to get it's brakes fixing. My daughter learned to ride a bike last year so hoping to go on some rides with her. I have also started spinning classes, they're seriously hardcore but should get me fit!

My husband was away this weekend so didn't get out to any classes but he got back in time for me to go out for a swim before we got the children to bed. I'm hoping to do two spinning classes and a swim or yoga this week if I can fit them in.

Skyejuly · 13/01/2020 09:20

I'm down 7lbs since last monday. Cant quite believe it. Do not feel like it notices but I feel better.

MsTSwift · 13/01/2020 09:23

What’s weird about intermittent fasting is you lose your appetite but still function fine.

Didn’t eat at all yesterday then had lovely roast with family with wine and sticky toffee pudding. Then nothing again. Works really well I look really slim now! Sadly some of my favourite clothes no longer fit

Onesmallstep67 · 13/01/2020 09:27

Morning everyone, we have survived the weekend ( just about in my case) 15st 9lbs this morning. That's 2lb down on January starting weight but I did go as low as almost seeing 15 st 7lbs on Saturday morning ( the scales wiggled around before settling on 15st 8lbs)
I did 13k on the exercise bike last night which according to the display on the bike means I burned 200 calories. Then promptly ate the equivalent ( and more ) in midget gems !
Just had boiled eggs and wholemeal toast. Hoping that will curb any late morning cravings for a biscuit (s)
Well done to everyone seeing losses and being very focused. I need to re find my way. I've definitely not lost my way or purpose completely but I am struggling with willpower at the moment.
Have a good day everyone, in every respect

peachgreen · 13/01/2020 09:31

Hi everyone, can I join in? Have been overweight all of my adult life but 2 years on from the birth of my daughter (and PND) I'm at an all-time high and if I want to have another baby and live to see my kids grow up I need to sort myself out. So this is a life-long change for me. Am doing 16:8 and calorie counting, aiming for 1200-1400 calories a day with one cheat evening at the weekend. I've done calorie counting a couple of times successfully in the past but have always gone for a lower allowance of 1000 cals which has led to me falling off the wagon (post-wedding and post-baby) so I'm hoping this more achievable target will help me to keep going long-term.

Stats:
Starting weight (10/01/2020): 21st 4lbs
Current weight: 21st 1lb
Jan target: 20st10lbs
2020 target: 5st
Overall target: 9st

I have PCOS so weight loss is a little bit slower for me than I'd like but still achievable.

Egghead68 · 13/01/2020 09:44

Well done everyone with losses, especially @Skyejuly! Hang in there @cricketmum84 and everyone else plateauing (I feel your pain).

Hope we all have a successful week.

Skyejuly · 13/01/2020 09:47

I think it is just as I have limited carbs and I probably used to eat 3000 calories a day ! I expect it to level out now but I hope I can still be motivated.
I struggle on days I am at home because my toddler likes to graze and snack.

DownUdderer · 13/01/2020 10:05

I think the best bit of low carb eating is that you don't get as hungry.

KnucklesMcGinty · 13/01/2020 10:16

I've lost loads of cms off my hips but none from my waist. Confused
Does anyone know of any exercises to slim the waist?

Tryingtwo · 13/01/2020 10:38

Morning all, great loss skyejuly, glad the scales finally moved Egghead68. Welcome peachgreen, great start - 3lbs in 3 days Smile
Alas, my run of losses is at an end up 0.6lb this morning.

peachgreen · 13/01/2020 10:43

Thanks tryingtwo. It won't last, it's the 4lbs I put on over Christmas so it's all Quality Street! Blush Wink

recklessgran · 13/01/2020 11:02

Morning all. This is my weekly weigh day.
Last week 13st 11.25 lbs
Today 13st 9.5 lbs
So a loss of 1.75lbs this week.
Not great really given that I have stuck rigidly to Keto since I started but at least it's going in the right direction. I'm trying to imagine 3 and a half packs of butter in order to make me feel better. Definitely need to up my activity so that is my plan for this week. Onwards and downwards!
'Somekindofzilla I hope you're O.K. and welcome back @Cream123
Welcome too to @peachgreen, don't worry about the PCOS there are a few of us with health problems that affect our weight. [Underactive thyroid here] Really hope you feel as supported on this thread as I do!
@Skyejuly that is a brilliant and awesome loss. Have a great week!

BeyondFlubeInclusionaryRF · 13/01/2020 11:20

Morning all. My food and activity is still going well, and my weight is still going in the right direction :) DP is doing well too - joined me in a fast day on the weekend

cricketmum84 · 13/01/2020 11:25

Welcome @peachgreen! I really hope you enjoy being part of the group ❤️

Well god just struck down my almost diet treat. I was peckish would cut a thick slice of French stick and added butter and marmite!

Turned my back for a second to get a glass of water and the flipping cat was licking the marmite off the bread! So it's gone in the bin rather than being added to my points for the day 😂😂

JessJonesJumps · 13/01/2020 11:27

Some great losses and step counts!
I didn't eat too much yesterday but I ate it at all the wrong times Grin I definitely get on better with a shorter eating window so I'm a tiny 0.2lbs down today.

Crazzzycat · 13/01/2020 12:13

I know it’s almost the middle of January, but can I join too?

I was quite active here at the start of 2019 when I managed to lose 17 kg, but some of that is creeping back on after a good few months of comfort eating. I’m determined to get back on track before I end up bigger than I was at the start of last year 🙈

I’ll post my stats tomorrow morning. An initial weigh in seems to suggest I’ll be somewhere around 84-85 kg. It’s more than I’d like to be, but better than I was this time last year. Always focus on the positives! 😀
