@cricketmum I've got a large patio in fact I've got a choice of 2 and right now I am favouring the one at the bottom of the garden as far away as possible from the house.

JontyDoggle37 · 09/01/2020 18:02

Oh god I’m struggling today. Couple of nights bad sleep and I’ve spent today feeling very unmotivated for work, increasingly tired and increasingly wanting to snack. I’ve had my dinner early to stop me filling my face with other stuff, but now there’s a long evening ahead. Pre-diet I’d be making myself. A massive snack about now, washed down with a couple of glasses of wine... I haven’t got any wine and don’t want any, so I’m safe there, but the cheese in the fridge is beckoning. I’ve got a glass of water to hand, and I’ve just started a book, hoping I can distract myself. Once I’ve got DS in bed I’ll have a bath and watch something on iPlayer at the same time. And go to bed early.

JontyDoggle37 · 09/01/2020 18:11

Just realised we’ve got some satsumas so I’ll have one of those to kid my brain ive had something sweet, and I’m still 3 glasses off of my water target for today so setting myself the challenge of drinking all of those before 9. I CAN do this.

Ecci · 09/01/2020 18:41

Bad day yesterday, had a 9.30 a. m. hospital appt at a hospital 90 miles away, We were so hungry when we came out, had fish and chips and a Bounty. I expected to have put on at least a pound but I haven't put any on, amazing.

KnucklesMcGinty · 09/01/2020 18:46

A mixed bag today!

  1. I realised I can gain or lose 5kg just by moving my scales.
  2. My physio videoed me in vest & pants and I really have no waistline.
  3. My physio says I can start C25K next week, with modifications.
  4. Food was mostly on plan.
Ihatesundays · 09/01/2020 19:15

I remember when I start to get into WW I struggle to eat my dailies.
I had a big lunch so I had a small dinner and I feel a bit crappy now. It just doesn’t work for me.
I was meant to work out tonight but pre-teen DD is feeling a bit down so we are watching a movie tonight.
Was expecting my new exercise bike to arrive tomorrow but no information yet so might not be till next week. Boooo!

Upupandiwent · 09/01/2020 20:09

Hello everyone, I've not been on here for a few days. I've just caught up with the thread and everyone's doing great! I love the recipe ideas being posted. I often need some inspiration.
I've stayed the same wt for a couple of days now. 11 st 12.
Food wise, I've only had one or two slip ups, which is much better than I usually manage. I realise I always snack when I'm tired, so I need to just make sure I get to bed early.

cricketmum84 · 09/01/2020 20:11

Well the mushroom orzo was about the tastiest thing I've eaten since Christmas! Definitely making that again!

bluepixie · 09/01/2020 20:27

Managed in at 850 plus 2 bites of DS crossiant! Prob at 900...
No more food
Won’t be posting after tmrw am till I’m back on Monday.
Happy losses everyone!

JessJonesJumps · 09/01/2020 20:32

Jonty I feel I've jinxed you by being so negative today! I'm sending you lots of wishes for a good evening.
I have eaten and picked at lots of rubbish today from the creme egg to some cracker crisps. I can't seem to get motivated at all and the only 'real' food I've had was some home-made soup.Fingers crossed that tomorrow is better.

AdventureTravelDreamer · 09/01/2020 21:24

Here is a vegan Deliciously Ella salad that I am going to try for a lunch one day next week @cricketmum84

Managed to drag myself to the spin class even though I REALLY wasn't feeling it. It was a virtual one so I left after about 40 mins instead of the full 55 but glad I went now!

Some great progress being made here ladies, whilst I can't post every day you are still all inspiring and motivating me! I only truly started on Monday, but have lost 0.6lbs since then - I'm calorie counting so no snacking and no sugary nonsense, doing 16:8 and minimum 10000 steps each day, just need to not lose the plot over the weekend and undo the good work.

beforeIhit30 · 10/01/2020 01:29

@Cream123 the Keto Hana cereal turned out to be quite filling! I posted saying I was still hungry, but within minutes that went and I was full. I was sorted for about 5 hours from that point!

@recklessgran do you eat roasted cauliflower? I find that if you roast it (I like it in butter) and let it get really caramelised - maybe 30-40mins in the oven depending on how much you have/how big the chunks are, on about 180C fan/200C convection - turn it a couple of times too, it really reminds me of roast potatoes. It’s got the crunch, the creaminess, the roastiness, it’s delicious Grin

I’m also a bit useless for exercise at the moment, something I need to improve, not just for weight but also for fitness/strength.

Had a good day, had the Keto Hana/nut cereal with full fat yoghurt for breakfast along with coffee, cream and collagen. Then had Cheesies as a snack later (they’re popped cheese, so tasty!). For dinner courgette spaghetti, olive oil, dash of cream, garlic, seasoning and chicken - really tasty. Then made a ridiculously indulgent hot chocolate - cocoa butter, cream, cocoa powder, maca powder, almond milk. Before adding the milk the rest was like a paste and honestly I could have just eaten it straight! It was like a dark chocolate thick spread, I’m sure I could build on that to make other things. And some strawberries. And a couple of cups of tea. All in all, stayed within macros and was 1320kcal.

beforeIhit30 · 10/01/2020 01:33

Oh, and grated pecorino with dinner. It’s become one of my new favourite toppings!

DownUdderer · 10/01/2020 06:12

I had a nice swim in the sea today! Then I had to sweat while I dragged our beach cart up this huge steep hill! The beach is lovely, it's just got this steep hill! My food is mostly good and on track.

Egghead68 · 10/01/2020 06:14

Morning. It’s Friday!!

65.2kg
Plan
B: Cauliflower popcorn, cheese sauce, fruit 550
L: Sandwich 500
D: Mushroom pasta 450
Circuits and spin.

Saw Tom Kerridge speak last night. He was very entertaining. Most interesting point made, I thought, was that weight-loss is relatively “easy” as there is a goal to work towards, which is intrinsically motivating. However maintaining weight has no goal and so is just a chore, which is why people fail. The implication was that we need to build goals into our maintenance phase too e.g. to stay 3 months without gaining weight or whatever.

Egghead68 · 10/01/2020 06:20

Weighed too soon. Now 64.9kg (sigh - just not losing at the moment).

P.S. stay away from Tom Kerridge’s “weight-loss” recipes though - the curry is over 700 calories a portion (!) and the overnight oats over 500.

MsTSwift · 10/01/2020 07:35

Funny our different weight goals I have reached 63 kg after much effort am now mid bmi and am thrilled and looking noticeably slim! How tall are you?!

cricketmum84 · 10/01/2020 07:40

Morning all and happy Friday!!!

@Egghead68 I wonder if his meals were even higher calorie before and that's why his "weight-loss" recipes are so high on calories? He was a very very big lad wasn't he.

@DownUdderer I am scared of sea swimming. The thought of what's lurking beneath....

@Cream123 have a lovely weekend away!!

Plan for today:
2 litres water before 1pm (done nearly a litre already)
L - lentil salad as suggested by @Cream123 I cooked and cooked the lentils last night so have no excuse.
D - little stir fry with spring onion, pepper, broccoli and mushroom with a little sprinkle of Chinese salt and pepper seasoning. Maybe a small portion of rice noodles on the side.
I've got grapes, blueberries, apples and alpro yoghurt in if I get snacky.

I've got an hour before work so am currently sat with all my new recipe books putting together a meal plan that utilises my veg delivery that I'm getting on Monday. There is a new local company that's sourcing fruit and veg from local growers then creating mixed boxes a bit like Abel and Cole. Hopeful that it will be better quality than the usual lidl stuff and will encourage me to eat more seasonably and support local growers too :) ooh and reduce food miles and carbon footprint!

Have a fantastic Friday!

AdventureTravelDreamer · 10/01/2020 07:40

So even though I first posted on Sunday I am taking Friday as my official weigh in day. This morning I am 10st 13.4lbs so a loss of 2.6lbs this week Grin

Plan for today is soup for lunch and a miso ramen type thing for dinner. Also aiming for no wine as I am out tomorrow night.

Agree that the maintaining is often harder than the losing and setting goals for that is a good plan but having watched his programme this week also agree that his portions seemed to be calorific, his overnight oats were indeed over 500 calories!! Can't remember who it was that asked but I am pretty sure it was on bbc 2.

Egghead68 · 10/01/2020 07:40

I am 1.75m so BMI is OK but still pudgy and need to lose more for a health issue. I will get there, just slowly!

cricketmum84 · 10/01/2020 07:42

Sorry that should say cooked and cooled the lentils!! Not cooked and cooked to mush lol

OP posts:
Egghead68 · 10/01/2020 07:42

@cricketmum84 yes - TK’s daily calorie allowance while on a diet was 2800!

Ihatesundays · 10/01/2020 07:45

Lost a tenny bit more, 0.2kg, taking me to 0.7kg this week (1.5 pounds). So chuffed with that.
Clothes fitting me differently every week Smile. Might try my target trousers on again soon (too snug last time I tried).

bluepixie · 10/01/2020 08:00

Morning! Did it 10.11
Except to put some on when I rewrite next Tuesday and then am aiming to maintain till my frozen ivf cycle over.
