@KnucklesMcGinty I’m aiming bmi 23.5 for now which is 5 pounds away and will re-evaluate. I’ve never been skinny and so never expect to be! A size 10/12 I feel comfy in.
Thanks for pairing!

JessJonesJumps · 08/01/2020 21:31

Jonty thanks for doing the pairing and for being my new accountability buddy Smile

bluepixie · 08/01/2020 21:32

Let’s be honest - I’ve never really been a 10! But I’ve been a small 12 at 10.3 and felt comfortable and happy (although it’s been ten years since I was 10.3 I can’t imagine ever getting back there so for now setting it at 10.7!)

Tryingtwo · 08/01/2020 23:53

Thanks JontyDoggle37 and a wave to AdventureTravelDreamer
I haven't really thought of an end goal really because at the moment I am still about 1.5 stones away from being overweight rather than obese and I'm just beginning to believe that that target is achievable. I need to lose a further 2 stones after that to reach the top of my healthy weight range and at the moment it seems to be some airy fairy target - hopefully once I get to a BMI of

DownUdderer · 09/01/2020 01:40

Hi. I’m 6lb from my goal, I’ve lost 2st 9 since 21st September. I want to reach goal and see how clothes feel and what I look like and see if I can maintain that weight. I used to be slimmer than that though so I’m not sure if I’ll maintain easily or if I’ll still be working hard each week! I didn’t think I could lose 2 st when I started out so I didn’t have a solid goal then, just forward momentum felt good without a true goal.

Vebrithien · 09/01/2020 06:48

Morning all,
Some really encouraging losses, and sensible plans here, well done all!
Am slowly easing back into school, luckily the kids haven't been too bad, but am still having to find work-arounds, as I'm still not allowed to carry heavy things, like boxes of books.
Had through my 12 week scan date (next Thursday), and I'll be weighed again then (if everything is good/there is still a heartbeat).
If this pregnancy continues, my aim is to stay in the high 80's to low 90's kg. This would put me at at least 10kg below when I had DD, and at least 20kg below this time last year.
My eating habits are returning to normal, although I am noticing being more hungry. Nausea is getting better, but I just hope that is because I'm 11 weeks now (it disappeared both times I had a MMC, long before the 12 week mark, but I can't remember when it vanished with DD).
My anxiety levels are quite high right now, so am having horrible anxiety dreams.
Still, my food plan for the day is as follows;
Peanut butter on toast (yuuuuum!)
Veg soup with a slice of bread
Baked Spanish omelette with broccoli, sweetcorn and broad beans.

Am aiming to finish by 6:30. No snacks in the evening, can't manage 16:8 right now, but am at least keeping 12 hours with nothing to eat.

My ultimate goal is the upper end of my healthy BMI. 15kg to go.

Have a good day all

bluepixie · 09/01/2020 07:10

X

Egghead68 · 09/01/2020 07:15

Skyejuly · 09/01/2020 07:17

Morning all. Newbie here.

I lost 6lb in october in a month but I have since but on nearly 10lbs. Eeeek. Definitely been to lax. I went to Rome then had xmas. I blame that!

Anyway I was upset after getting in scales so am going to calorie count. Aiming for 1200 a day. I do not tend to eat a great deal....I just eat the wrong things (like brioches)

bluepixie · 09/01/2020 07:30

I’m starving!

Trewser · 09/01/2020 07:38

Had a shite day yesterday as cat has gone to vets (is dying Sad). Dh made a ridiculously calorific turkey and cream bake and I ate it for lunch and dinner! That was all I ate but it must have been over 1000 calories!

Think I'll be a bit up on weight today.

Ihatesundays · 09/01/2020 07:50

71.5kg. Same as yesterday but that’s okay as means it’s staying off!

AdventureTravelDreamer · 09/01/2020 07:55

Thanks for the pairings @JontyDoggle37 and morning @Tryingtwo Smile

I am a daily weigher and also track on an app when I am being conscious of what I am eating and weigh. Thought I didn't have a great day yesterday, DH had a hospital appointment and we rewarded ourselves with cake after Blush I had a vegan date and walnut one which was lovely and I did try and limit calories after to compensate. The scales are still going in the right direction this morning so hopefully no damage was done!

Thanks for the suggestion of vegan yogurt @cricketmum84. I actually bought some Alpro greek style yogurt yesterday which isn't great but will be ok with fruit I think but I'll look out for the plain one too. A friend suggested the plain with coconut so will play around to find one we all like.

Busy day work wise with meetings planned from 12 - 3 and I always find a busy day limits my food intake. Also planning on a spin class at 7.30 with DD.

Have a good day all Smile

AdventureTravelDreamer · 09/01/2020 08:00

Also did anyone see the Tom Kerridge programme last night? They had his weight loss calories set at 2800!!! The breakfast he made them had over 500 calories per portion.

Initial goal for me is to get bmi under 25, which I am close to (currently 25.6) and then will set small goals as I find them more achieveable.

JontyDoggle37 · 09/01/2020 08:05

Morning all.
@JessJonesJumps you’re welcome, hope to see you on here later!
Can’t quite believe it but as of this morning I’m 12st 3.5, which means I’m 5lbs lighter than Monday! I’ve been religiously drinking 2 litres of water a day though which I think is helping flush things out! 40 mins weights workout done this morning too 💪

cricketmum84 · 09/01/2020 08:32

Morning all! Quick one from me as it's been a busy morning and I'm about to run into work (well when I say run...). Littlest DD took a tumble in her bedroom last night and can't put any weight on her foot. Keeping everything crossed that it eases during the day and doesn't become an X-ray job.

Thanks for doing the pairings @JontyDoggle37 and good morning @Cream123 I am also starving and have to walk past Greggs to get to my office. Come on willpower!!

@Trewser so sorry about little cat 💔

Welcome to the new people :) we are a friendly bunch and I really hope that you find the thread helpful.

Got on the scales this morning to a 2lb gain?? How? I've barely eaten, no snacks or treats? Feeling very fed up. Think I may need to up my salad intake but I just don't enjoy it at this time of year! Any suggestions for enjoyable winter vegan salads more than welcome!

Plan for today is:
Much more water than yesterday
L - sod it im having a vegan steak bake
D - mushroom orzo from my new vegan £1 meals book. Should probably have smaller portion and side salad.
No snacks

Have a great day everyone!

@cricketmum84 sorry for ur gain. Don’t get disheartened coz you have lost so much so far! Is it your change to vegan? Does it mean your having more carbs than before? Your body maybe just needs to adjust and then hopefully you can work out what’s best to eat and loose weight....I literally look at bread and get fat!

I make a lovely lentil salad often - dressing wise is white wine vinegar and soy (Qual amounts) so low cals. Puy lentils usual salad stuff but with diced red onions and diced chillis and coriander. It’s lovely fresh and filling!

bluepixie · 09/01/2020 08:54

Equal amounts of both!

Egghead68 · 09/01/2020 10:26

Winter vegan salad recommendation:

Roast some baby carrots in a small amount of olive oil with lots of nigella seeds and seasoning (add the nigella seeds towards the end I think).
Dress with lime juice and small amount maple syrup (to substitute for honey in the original).
Eat room temperature. Add goats cheese if not vegan.

Egghead68 · 09/01/2020 10:29

@Trewser I'm so sorry about your cat too.

JessJonesJumps · 09/01/2020 10:37

Hi @JontyDoggle37 I'm here! Brilliant weight loss for you. The water and weights are definitely working!

I've been here one week!
SW: 13.7.8
CW: 13.4.4

So I'm up from yesterday but down 3.4lbs from when I started. I'm happy with that. Can hardly walk today after circuits yesterday. Going to fit in some yoga later in the hope it helps.

Trewser sorry about your cat Flowers

Skyejuly · 09/01/2020 11:07

Sorry about the cat.

I'm so hungry today. Its cause I know I cant have it.

Skyejuly · 09/01/2020 11:19

Co op super soup for lunch. 120 calories apparently. Not as bad as it looks...

recklessgran · 09/01/2020 11:25

Thank you for the pairing Jonty - waving to @somesortofzilla, hope you're doing O.K.?
@Cream123 I get what you mean about bread - it's carb crack to me too hence why this Keto diet is good for me since I can't have it at all.
In terms of target weight I'm not thinking that far ahead. I'll think about that once or IF I ever manage to lose the 2 stone which is my first target.
Have a good day all - will catch up later.

HRHPrincessMegan · 09/01/2020 11:40

Morning - finally I can report a loss! 1lbs after 3 days of stability. A small shift in the right direction but important to me as I was getting a little disheartened. I know some posters are already 7lbs down but I think this is going to be a whole month endeavour for me.

A winter salad I like: grated carrots, chickpeas, dressing made with juice and zest of 1 orange, tablespoon of olive oil and some harrisa paste for some heat. You can shred some mint leaves into it too.
