Morning all! And welcome to the December edition of lose 7lbs!

A huge to welcome to the newbies, long term followers and contributors and the lurkers!

I would dearly love to lose 7lbs in December but accepting that I'm probably going to relax things a little, have some chocolate or some cheese, mulled wine and stollen.

I will still be following ww and 16:8 most days. I'm also going to try stay mostly vegan with the exception of local eggs which I think should help me stay on track!

Stats are:
Dec starting weight: 18.13
Dec target weigh: 18.7
Loss for November: 3lbs
Loss for 2019: 6stone 5lbs

Happy December to all and let's get our festive groove on!

Very nice, Woolly, both the weight and the reindeer Xmas Smile

I’m getting heavier for some reason, this better lead to a sudden 0.5kg drop or else! Xmas Angry

Baguetteaboutit · 07/12/2019 09:51

I've put on weight too, not much but enough for me to be more consciousness about remembering that dieting is meant to be for the whole day - including the evening HmmGrin

Katinka2 · 07/12/2019 10:02

Thank you for welcome, cricket. I’m going to fast today until dinner time with just coffee, tea and water to drink to kick start myself. Have planned to blitz house today as for me that’s a good way to a clean slate. I’ve decided to reduce sugar intake and for the majority of time eat whole meal rice, pasta and and anything I make with pastry use whole meal flour ie some mince pies nearer to Christmas. Not cutting out things just much smaller portions. If I’m too strict I keep it up for a couple of weeks then to start to crave things and this is what happened this week and it went all wrong. I never want to see 15 on the scales again, I am aiming for a 2-3 lb loss a week. I’ve sorted my clothes into a 14 st drawer and a 13 st drawer and will be so pleased to get to the 14 drawer. I’m sick of only fitting into a few select clothes but mostly I’m losing the weight for health reasons and my self esteem. I’ve not told anyone how much I weigh. Right time to start as I mean to go on. Thank you to this lovely thread and hope you are all having a good start to the weekend.

lilgreen · 07/12/2019 16:22

B: poached egg on toasted sourdough
L: salad with tin of mackerel in tomato sauce, apple
D: will be small portion of spaghetti bolognaise made with lean turkey mince.
No booze tonight.

CalmConfident · 07/12/2019 16:22

Longer than expected fast today...stuck waiting for car to be fixed at garage ! Now worrying I won’t get to eat before I go out at 5!!!

CalmConfident · 07/12/2019 16:23

So hungry.....

lilgreen · 07/12/2019 16:24

Good for you @Katinka2

Onesmallstep67 · 07/12/2019 18:16

Some great losses, I'm catching up with the thread after a couple of days, lots of positivity.
I have acquired a lovely new man who is keeping me busy ( and therefore away from food) and miraculously this morning I was 15st 9lbs which finally takes me under 100kgs for the first time in 20 years.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone

Megsmcgoo · 07/12/2019 18:33

Quite hungover today and Chinese Food is on the way so today has been a failure! Have just spent the day lying on the sofa Hmm Contemplating just not drinking alcohol for the foreseeable future, it’ll help the weight loss and I won’t suffer the next day!

7Worfs · 07/12/2019 18:37

smallstep very pleased for you Xmas Smile it’s a lovely time of the year for a new relationship.

Ihatesundays · 07/12/2019 19:04

I had a long fast today. I normally eat from 11 but it was DCs Christmas concert so I ate a cake at 12.
I then had a bagel and some yogurt for late lunch and now pizza for tea.
Not the best planned day...

cricketmum84 · 07/12/2019 20:18

@Onesmallstep67 spill!!! We want to know the gossip :)

I try and carry nuts in my handbag for an easy snack @CalmConfident so I can grab them when I’m hungry.

I’m planning prawns for lunch with a few salady bits.

I’m hoping to go to the cinema tomorrow, last time I went I took a banana to eat!

JontyDoggle37 · 08/12/2019 02:13

Joining in please. Will weight myself in the morning. Hit a total low (mentally) and am at a total high (weightwise). Time for change.

Egghead68 · 08/12/2019 05:20

Congratulations @WoollyFoolly and lovely news @Onesmallstep67.

66.7kg today. Plan:
B: toasted sandwich
L&D: broccoli cheese, potatoes, salad
Charity spinathon if I can get a place (only doing 1 hour though, not the full 3).

lilgreen · 08/12/2019 08:39

0.4 of a lb off this morning. Tiny I know but so pleased as I felt heavier stepping on. 3.6 lbs to go! Christmas meal this week. It’s set 3 courses and I only ever have a main usually. Might fast that day.

lilgreen · 08/12/2019 08:41

@DownUdderer there are so many things that have become triggers to eat. I mean a film is what , up to 2 hrs? We shouldn’t need to eat in that time, just drink. Hard habits to break and it’s all about £££ for the cinema chain.

Ihatesundays · 08/12/2019 09:13

Exactly the same again! Scales are such a tease

cricketmum84 · 08/12/2019 09:42

Morning all and happy Sunday! Still 18.10 this morning which is fine. I thought I might see a small gain after quite a bit of bread last night.

Looking forward to Sunday lunch today - cauldron sausage, honey and mustard parsnips and roasted veg :) I do tend to only eat one meal on a Sunday but might have an apple or something later or some yoghurt and berries.

Hope everyone is having a lovely day so far!

CalmConfident · 08/12/2019 10:14

@DownUdderer thank you for the nuts tip (adds to shopping list) Star

Constantbronchitislaryngitis · 08/12/2019 10:17

Can I join?
Not sure what I’m supposed to do
I’m vegan and also eat local eggs
My prob is wine and fatty snacks around 330/4pm
I’ve got fibromyalgia and constant period problems and I’m about 78kilos
I’d like to be about 70 kilos
I do t have energy to cook properly
I really need some guidance
I have a dog and fast walk for 20 mins a day
But I never loose weight

Baguetteaboutit · 08/12/2019 10:45

There are lots of vegan meal prep guides on YouTube. Maybe if you were able to make your meals for the week when you had some energy you won't be caught short when you're completely depleted and only wine and junk is to hand?

MsTSwift · 08/12/2019 10:57

Constant I was 76 kg now 66 kg took 8 weeks
Cut out breakfast OR lunch
Dinner early and on small plate but didn’t change what I ate as we quite healthy anyway
No snacks except carrots cherry tomatoes or ryvita
Relax abit at weekends and special events but broadly do the above in week
One hour turbo biking most days then sit ups and small weights for arms

Anyway that worked for me broadly Fast800 16/8. What has struck me is that I’m not more hungry I really don’t need much food.
