Morning all! And welcome to the December edition of lose 7lbs!

A huge to welcome to the newbies, long term followers and contributors and the lurkers!

I would dearly love to lose 7lbs in December but accepting that I'm probably going to relax things a little, have some chocolate or some cheese, mulled wine and stollen.

I will still be following ww and 16:8 most days. I'm also going to try stay mostly vegan with the exception of local eggs which I think should help me stay on track!

Stats are:
Dec starting weight: 18.13
Dec target weigh: 18.7
Loss for November: 3lbs
Loss for 2019: 6stone 5lbs

Happy December to all and let's get our festive groove on!

I am stuck at that weight too baguette. Think lost 1lb this week but been really good. Was this weight for ages think it’s my bodies norm

MsTSwift · 06/12/2019 08:52

Still an improvement on 11 st 9 which I was in Oct so cant complain I guess!

DownUdderer · 06/12/2019 09:30

I’ve had bolognaise and spinach for dinner.

I haven’t had brown rice in ages, I like it, it just takes longer to cook! And I’m not a person who enjoys cooking, I lack the patience!

dayslikethese1 · 06/12/2019 15:25

Hi, can I join? Want to lose about 5lbs so similar amount to thread title. It's the last bit so its tricky. I want to get under 10st. 9st 8lbs is the dream weight but I'd settle for 9st 10lbs. I'm 2 lbs down this wk from last so happy about that but a friend is having a big xmas meal/party tmo and I'm having takeaway tonight with a different friend so it's a wknd of eating coming up. I'm mitigating by eating v little during the day.

dayslikethese1 · 06/12/2019 15:27

In terms of method I eat what I want but i calorie count with MFP and I'm trying to drink less alcohol. I do 16:8 bu accident because I don't eat breakfast anyway Grin

Megsmcgoo · 06/12/2019 17:27

Evening all! Well I weighed in early this morning and I’ve lost 6 POUNDS! Absolutely delighted Grin

I’m off out tonight so I’ve had an early dinner, will be drinking but I’ve counted the points and then straight back on plan tomorrow.

Porridge with strawberries
Tomato soup with 2 crackers
Pasta and bolognese from the freezer

Advent chocolates, 4 chocolate fingers and fruit

Later - prosecco!

Strange Christmas party food and travelling days. Yesterday was a rubbish turkey burger, chips, a lot of g&ts and some pick n mix Blush. However, I did enjoy my lentil masala & brown rice lunch from Leon at the M6 services !!!

cricketmum84 · 06/12/2019 18:27

Fantastic @Megsmcgoo!!

I ended up with a vegan "no turkey" Christmas sandwich. Ate half Cos I was starving but it gave me awful heartburn so I threw the other half. It was pretty bland too.

Have been a bit wanky and bought myself my very first vegan magazine so currently reading through for recipe inspiration. I seem to live off veg chilli or chickpea curry lol!

Thanks again, for all the lovely messages of support. I'm still struggling with constant nausea, even had to get out the car this morning, and stand retching by the drivers door Xmas Blush Luckily it was early and dark!
However, the early pregnancy consultant has prescribed some anti emetics, that helped this afternoon.
And, I've braved the scales again, to find I've dropped 1.1kg this week, down to 88.9kg, so swings and roundabouts!
2 weeks until the next appointment and hopefully another scan, if all continues to go well. It's really hard, as I'm constantly symptom spotting, and I keep having period like cramps. Have to remind myself that I had those too with my one successful pregnancy.
Anyway, this has been a waffle (yuuuum!), so sorry, but thanks for the support!

7Worfs · 06/12/2019 19:03

Oooh getting flashbacks of my HG. I didn’t get any medicine and was sick as a dog for months. I thought I’ll never eat again, lol.

lilgreen · 06/12/2019 20:09

Thanks for the huddle over freezing runs. Felt like a wimp but you’re right, it was bloody hardcore! Still 9st 11!!! On my YAZIO app I seem to drop a pound then stay the same for a week, then drop a bit more. Hoping I’m in the middle phase.
B: dry fried egg in toasted dry muffin
L: tuna salad, apple
D: Tesco katsu curry
2 glasses of red

lilgreen · 06/12/2019 20:11

@Vebrithien I had period cramps with both of my DDs.WinkGood luck.

DownUdderer · 06/12/2019 23:03

I’m back to 10st 7, so my off plan carbs that gave me a little gain are forgotten now.

I can refocus now and think about the next pound I want to lose. I’m going to have scrambled eggs for breakfast, then prawns and salad for lunch. Something with veggies for dinner.

DownUdderer · 06/12/2019 23:20

Oh I weighed again (after going to the toilet) and I’m 10st 6. That’s a pound down from last weekend.

Egghead68 · 07/12/2019 05:32

Nicely done on all the losses.

67.2kg. Travelling round today so no idea what I’ll be eating but probably veg fritters (400), nuts (200), fruit bar (120), Leon black bean curry (420ish) and a snack in front of Strictly.

Day 7 already!

Egghead68 · 07/12/2019 05:37

Ooh post-loo 66.9kg.

Realise I haven’t been documenting my advent chocolate. Obviously that’s a given.

MsTSwift · 07/12/2019 05:51

Yesterday
B poached egg spinach cherry tomatoes half slice toast 250
Fast all day
1 hour on turbo plus weights
D half pizza lots of salad 500
2 glasses wine 200

Scales still stuck at 66kg 10 and s half stone. Look slimmer though. Did hips to waist ratio and it’s .77 which is in normal range

Ihatesundays · 07/12/2019 07:53

No change but no gain either. And if not TMI I think I am a little constipated. Went on the exercise bike, desperate for a new one but don’t know what I am buying.

I might try the hip to waist thing. I have totally lost my stomach now.

Katinka2 · 07/12/2019 07:55

I’m needing some help with keeping going. I’ve been reading lots of posts and decided to take the plunge as I’m desperate to lose weight. I’m peri menopausal (52) hormones all over the place and took the plunge to kickstart some weight loss 3 weeks ago. Starting weight was 15st 1lb and I’m 5ft 7. Have lost 7lbs in first 3 weeks but this week has been terrible motivation wise. Trying to avoid Christmas things I’ve started to buy but been a bad week. I’m definitely an emotional eater so that’s something I really need to address. I’m doing 16/8 to cut down on snacking. Weight has gone on over last 20 years but last 5 has definitely excellerated with menopausal symptoms. Anyway I’m really hoping this thread will keep my motivation up as I really don’t want to gain the lbs I’ve lost to Christmas so I’m working out a new food plan from today.

lilgreen · 07/12/2019 08:00

0.2 of a lb off Hmm but still 9st 11 dead. Only 4 to go but it’s gonna be hard!

lilgreen · 07/12/2019 08:01

No alcohol today.

CalmConfident · 07/12/2019 08:11

Everyone is doing so well, this thread is a real motivator and full of positive encouragement.

Fasting in progress, hoping to see a little drop by weigh in Monday

cricketmum84 · 07/12/2019 08:12

Welcome @Katinka2 :)

Still 18.10 today but that's 3lbs for the week so I'm really happy considering how badly November went! Meal plan is done for the week including what I'm taking for work lunches each day as that seems to be where I get a bit of weakness. Doesn't help that my office is right in the city centre with Greggs, noodle bar, Morrison's, Chinese, Thai, Indian.... literally any food you could possibly want within 2 minutes walk!

Plan for today is water and green tea with lemon.
L - apple slices dipped in soya yoghurt
D - bought a protein bread mix from ww so will be having freshly baked warm bread with fig and honey Boursin (I know I'm a rubbish vegan) and a rocket and tomato salad. Naughty tea but it's only once a week and I will point it properly.

@Vebrithien good to hear all is well. I remember the sickness well although it certainly wasn't as bad as HG. The only thing I could eat was toasted soldiers with marmite. Something about the strong taste made me feel less sick. Plus it's full of folic acid!

Have a lovely Saturday everyone!

WoollyFoolly · 07/12/2019 08:20

Very happy today to see a number starting with 11 on my scales! Admittedly it's the closest possible one to 12, 11.13 and 3/4!! Still taking it as a win.

I don't normally eat breakfast but today I'm off on a day long crafting course to make a reindeer so I'm having a bowl of porridge with sliced banana, nutmeg & cinnamon. I've recently discovered I love this, having previously only ever eaten porridge with lashings of golden syrup. 🤨 lunch is provided on the course so no idea what that will be.
