Morning all! And welcome to the December edition of lose 7lbs!

A huge to welcome to the newbies, long term followers and contributors and the lurkers!

I would dearly love to lose 7lbs in December but accepting that I'm probably going to relax things a little, have some chocolate or some cheese, mulled wine and stollen.

I will still be following ww and 16:8 most days. I'm also going to try stay mostly vegan with the exception of local eggs which I think should help me stay on track!

Stats are:
Dec starting weight: 18.13
Dec target weigh: 18.7
Loss for November: 3lbs
Loss for 2019: 6stone 5lbs

Happy December to all and let's get our festive groove on!

Nice loss Ecci.
Congratulations on reaching a healthy weight bmi Downudderer.
I admire your resolve cricketmum84 I can't rrsist weighing myself every day. I'm 0.4lb down today.

JontyDoggle37 · 09/12/2019 11:04

cricketmum I love mince pies, well done for stopping at one!
egghead well done on the NSV and SV!
7Worfs are you by any chance eating the same food all the time? When I lost weight before I found my body got a bit stuck after a while and I needed to change up the routine a bit..
After a great start to the morning I’m really struggling now. I’m tired and just running out of oomph after a really hard autumn. I’m working from home so the temptation is to have multiple coffees with biscuits, but I’m posting here instead and am going to get myself a glass of water, Chuck some music on and try desperately to get into my work!

Megsmcgoo · 09/12/2019 12:03

Happy Monday all, 2lbs up after the weekend Hmm good reason to give it my all this week, hoping it’ll have all gone by tomorrow Grin

Today’s menu

  • Weetabix and banana with skimmed milk
  • Ham and orzo salad
  • Smoked gammon with wedges and a tablespoon of light mayonnaise

Have a good day!

7Worfs · 09/12/2019 13:00

Jonty yep, I do eat the same stuff, I’ll have to think of quick alternatives for lunch especially, that I can share with weaning baby

Ihatesundays · 09/12/2019 15:39

So I went into a shop today and tried a few things on from a sale.
Size 16 skirt was enormous (it’s what I would have needed in the spring). I bought a size 12 top which is comfortable (I was bursting out of 14s at start of the year).
I also looked in the mirror (usually avoid) and thought I looked ‘normal’.
I’ve got a bit of a way to go to where I want to be. I’m 22 pounds down since June but the toning up has made all the difference.
I then ate at wagamamas for lunch Crown Wink

Egghead68 · 09/12/2019 16:00

I love that feeling of looking "normal" in the mirror now (with clothes on anyhow!)

7Worfs · 09/12/2019 18:21

Nice one, sundays Xmas Smile

Ihatesundays · 09/12/2019 18:41

Thanks! Crown Grin

DownUdderer · 10/12/2019 01:53

Hi everyone. Lots of losses and nice NSVs!

I’m down a pound today, I’m chuffed. 2 pounds off in 2 days, a mini whoosh.

I’ve just found a photo of myself before weight loss, what a shock! I just had my food all wrong and I was in denial. I was exercising, but I had put on weight. I feel so much better now.

It’s super smoky today. There’s a chance of rain for Thursday and I’m just really hoping we get some.

I’ve had some sushi again today. Yum

JontyDoggle37 · 10/12/2019 06:41

Morning Down. Well done on the loss, and thank you for making the point about drinking water yesterday. I’m normally terrible at drinking water and the ‘it’s good for me’ reason is never enough - but it helping with weight loss is, and I managed at least 6 large glasses yesterday, and this morning had another 3/4 of a pound off, so now at 12st 3.6. Woo!
Today is tough - already on the train into London, a 2 hour presentation to do To 20 potential clients at 9, a quick lunch out somewhere (aiming for a Super Salmon Light box in Itsu, it’s only 400 calories) , then a 2 hour workshop with some potential clients then Christmas Dinner with my networking group. I know that ordinarily by then end of a day like that I’d be diving into the wine and ordering chips, but I’m determined to stay on track. My target calories is 1600, and I will have used just under 800 for breakfast and lunch, so just over 800 left. I haven’t had sight of the menu yet either so need to try and get that today and choose in advance.

JontyDoggle37 · 10/12/2019 06:42

Also Down hoping you are far enough from the fire to be safe, look after your lung health, that smoke can have bad effects.

cricketmum84 · 10/12/2019 07:01

We are praying for rain for you @DownUdderer! And huge well done on the loss!

@JontyDoggle37 sounds like a full on day! Enjoy the Christmas meal out Xmas Smile

Still avoiding the scales although I'll probably hop on tomorrow.

Plan for today is
Am - lots of water and a couple of green teas with lemon
L - leftover aubergine chilli with quinoa
D - 2 cauldron sausage with mash and roasted tenderstem broccoli

Very busy few days at work for me coming up as December is such a short turn around for us so I'll keep posting every morning but may not be around much during the day sorry!

Hope everyone has a happy and successful Tuesday!

Fingers crossed for rain in NSW.

67.3kg so up .7 - must have eaten lots of heavy food yesterday!

Plan: Noodles, salad, fruit, quark, advent choc.

Egghead68 · 10/12/2019 09:03

Just bought a medicinal lemon muffin to go with my lemsip. No lunch for me!

Wildroselosesit · 10/12/2019 09:22

Morning all!
Well done to the losses and Nsv's this weekend!
I'm weighing later on this evening, hoping for a decent result as I have done well this week but tmi I'm a bit constipated I think so not sure how much of an effect that will have.
I only need to lose 2lb more to get to my 5stone to I'm excited to be there.
I had to go bra shopping yesterday, I've lost so so much volume in my boobs now!! Gone from a 32hh to a 30ff but ended up buying a 32g in Ann summers but they have weird sizing but seemed OK. I'm glad to be feeling a little more supported now 🤣 my old bras were getting ridiculous.
I have a Xmas party coming up next weekend which I have bought a really sparkly dress for, it's waaay out of my comfort zone I'm usually the one in a size 18 tent dress but this is form fitting and a size 12 I'm so nervous to wear it!!
Hope everyone has a good week, this is actually the start of my week because I only work Tues-Thurs and weigh on a Tues so Monday definitely feels like the weekend still.

My plan for today
B: green tea
L: pastrami and babybel salad with skips
D: some sort of fried egg and bacon on toast later (we will see how weigh in goes before I decide on that!)

Wildroselosesit · 10/12/2019 09:25

Not sure what happened to my post, it did have proper paragraphs when I typed it!!

7Worfs · 10/12/2019 10:20

Today at 61.1kg which is my lowest, first seen on 3 December. Better see a new number tomorrow!

Down my Aussie friend just sent me a pic of a very smokey Bondi beach, air pollution at hazardous levels. Sad

I received a verbal job offer yesterday, money isn’t much more than my current job, but it’s a huge title boost (Assoc Director), so I’m very happy!
Currently negotiating for more money and checking their flexi working policy, I really want this opportunity, hope to close the deal 🤞🏼

7Worfs · 10/12/2019 10:27

Oh no, cold again @Egghead68?

MsTSwift · 10/12/2019 10:29

I am being so good fasting exercising etc test the scales won’t budge been at 10 and a half stone for 2 weeks now Hmm

Anyone else hit a plateau? Lost 1.5 stone so far and clothes looser

cricketmum84 · 10/12/2019 10:53

Ooh congratulations @7Worfs that's fantastic news! Xx

Baguetteaboutit · 10/12/2019 11:29

10 and a half stone must be the new limbo MrsTSwift. I'm stuck right there with you Grin

How did your little one sleep in their own room Worf? And congrats on the job offer!

Katinka2 · 10/12/2019 12:39

Been reading the posts some great losses and positives.Ihatesundays that must of felt so good when trying on those clothes.
I’m really wanting to get that feeling( and lower size) when I get to that point. I’ve sorted through my clothes and have tracked my weight losses I’m hoping to achieve. Although I’m tempted to buy some clothes I’m going to really try to hold off as I don’t want to buy in my current size. I’m tempted to buy some fleece pyjama bottoms in a 12-14 as an incentive that I saw in Sainsbury’s when I did my shop yesterday.

I’ve just returned from a long, hilly walk in rain with dog. Plan to do this every Monday and Tuesday as those are my days off.
I’m still planning how I’m going to achieve this weight loss. Making small steps, DH and I have made a pact to only open the red wine on a Friday and make bottle last the Saturday as well, so small glasses. Upping my water intake and having sparkling water in a wine glass as bizarrely it feels more special and More of a treat.
Have stuck to 8/16 and really trying to replace salty snacks with fruit and even more water. Peri menopause is a real bummer though for me at the moment.

Egghead68 · 10/12/2019 12:46

Congratulations @7Worfs! (I get lots of mini-colds - joys of working with the public. Hopefully this won't develop).

Egghead68 · 10/12/2019 12:49

@Katinka2 - I share your perimenopausal pain. I hope you buy the pyjamas. Sounds like a good plan with the wine.

7Worfs · 10/12/2019 13:39

Thanks all, I really hope I don’t cock it up! 😬

Baguette He took to it fine so far, I’m feeding him to sleep and then popping him in the cot, about 2-3 wakings which is fine whilst on mat leave.

eggy The General Public is the worst! Yesterday in Sainsbury’s some lady turned to sneeze onto the pushchair, where my PFB was!
