I did my weigh in yesterday and was 14st 13.8lbs a loss of 2.8lbs for the week. Today I'm 14st 13.6lbs. I snacked a lot yesterday and went way over my 1500 cals. Today I've had about 1200 so hope this balances out yesterday.
I've managed to do 16:8 a couple of days this week and found not eating until 12.00pm was just about okay so I will try to do this on a more regular basis.

Tryingtwo · 21/11/2019 22:32

SisterCharlie I started at 16st 10lbs on 18th September this year and have lost 24.4lbs. I am calorie counting but am trying to improve what I eat ie more protein and veg and less sugar.
I am trying to set myself reasonable and achievable targets so I have something to try for to keep me motivated. Currently I want to get below 200lbs and also to get into my size 18 jeans!

DownUdderer · 22/11/2019 03:02

Welcome new people! Hello everyone. I’m eating well today and I’ve had a long 8 km hike. It does wonders for my mental health to get out for a walk or hike. I’m in Australia so it’s much easier for me to get out, I’m sure it’s pretty cold and dark in the uk.

The scales haven’t moved for me this week and I’m feeling grumpy with them!

I had my first swim (for the season) in the sea yesterday, it was so lovely.

Sistercharlie · 22/11/2019 05:45

Thank you for the warm welcome and good luck to everyone! Your weight loss stats are really impressive!

Cricketmum84 sorry about your v stressful journey home last night. Hope the person was ok in the end and everyone else who was delayed so badly.

Egghead68 · 22/11/2019 07:24

69.1kg - come on plateau, shift!

B - oriental snacks 400
L - probably from Greggs 420
D - stir fry 300
S - tbc
Circuits and spinning

FashionFoodLaughs · 22/11/2019 07:30

Uuurgh I had a flare up of a chronic illness on Wednesday (RA) and still coming back from it. I ate all the chocolate and sweets on Wednesday now trying to get back on track as I know nutritious food makes me feel better. Haven’t weighed as been so low, not had a flare since June it’s so rubbish.

Ihatesundays · 22/11/2019 07:36

Tiny bit more off - 0.3kg. Whole kilo in a week which is loads for me.
Plus I have a stinking cold and done zero exercise.

7Worfs · 22/11/2019 08:25

So tired this morning.

Scales are moving, I’m at about my pre- pregnancy weight, but clothes don’t fit yet, and I look very different. Planning to resume weight lifting soon, but don’t want to strain the CS scar. I need to rebuild muscle.

cricketmum84 · 22/11/2019 08:31

Morning all! Just 8 days to go and I'm still only on 2lb loss for this month. I have gone over on ww points this week though so need to be much more careful next week! No wine!

Plan for today is:

AM - water and a lemon green tea
L - wfh this afternoon on a virtual training session so hoping I've got time to make a quick greek salad with olives and violife Greek style
D - chickpea and spinach madras and brown rice

Hope everyone has a lovely day!

@DownUdderer yes it's freezing, foggy and chucking it down!

Back to 16st this morning and had a much more sensible day yesterday without any stupid snacking on biscuits or even feeling the desire to. Still no TOTM but feeling less uncomfortable and hormonal so probably a missed cycle. Hopefully the run up to Christmas will not be dictated by these hormonal fluctuations ( 52 and in the perimenopause for newbies reading along)
Plan for the next week is to dip back under 16st and stay there for more than 1 day !!
have a good one Smile

Startoftheyear2019 · 22/11/2019 10:49

Wow @cricketmum84 your chickpea curry sounds amazing! Any chance of sharing a link to the recipe? I'm doing ok. Loving 16:8 but weight is reducing more slowly now.

cricketmum84 · 22/11/2019 12:49

@Startoftheyear2019 it's a made up one :) ingredients make about 3 portions or 2 big portions and it's very low fat and 0ww points.

I finely dice a red onion and fry with an inch of grated ginger, 3-4 crushed garlic cloves and fry light for about 5 mins, then add a dash of water and simmer for another 5 minutes or so or until the water has evaporated. Then add a tablespoon of madras powder, a tablespoon of garam a masala, a teaspoon of turmeric and a chopped red chilli. Keep stirring on a low heat until the spices are warmed through but not burnt.
Then I add a tin of chickpeas (you can use anything though, lentils, cauliflower, mushrooms etc and a tin of chopped tomatoes and half a carton of passata. Salt and pepper to taste but not usually needed and some fresh coriander. Simmer for 20-30 mins. Then add either fresh or frozen spinach towards the end.

I've not managed to break through the 12 stone barrier and now have a series of meals out over this weekend and next weekend (birthday and Christmas do's) so I can't imagine I'll get any further this month. I did order a load of party outfits to try on for my Christmas do next weekend though so looking forward to them arriving! Lots of places have started Black Friday sales already although Black Friday is not until next week so hopefully will get a bargain.

Baguetteaboutit · 22/11/2019 15:09

I have the Noro-virus. It's properly grim. I'd say, after that lack of food, that I'm hoping for a woosh tomorrow. But I've had enough of that for one day.

Egghead68 · 22/11/2019 16:18

I had it too - great for weight loss. Hope you feel better soon.

Baguetteaboutit · 22/11/2019 18:55

Thanks Egghead. I think with three superspreaders school kids it was inevitable it'd get to me eventually!

DownUdderer · 22/11/2019 23:51

Sorry about the noro virus, sounds awful @Baguetteaboutit. Get well soon.

I’m down a pound this morning. I’d started to think the scales were never going to move. I’m 2st 3 down since starting. I’m really noticing my body feels different now and I’m so happy. I’m getting closer to my goal weight. I’d like to loose another 12lb.

I’m happy with my eating for the majority, I very rarely go off piste. I’m just so determined now. I think to begin with I didn’t think about my goal weight in a real way as I was unsure if I’d ever even get near.

Keep on keeping on everyone.

Egghead68 · 23/11/2019 04:54

68.7kg
No sleep all night - thanks again menopause - and a full day’s work ahead. Have to try not to hit the sugar.
Plan:
B: Oriental snacks 400 and lots of black coffee
L: Nut roast sandwich 500
S: Fruit & Skyr 380
D: Salad 200ish

MsTSwift · 23/11/2019 06:47

67 kg was 76 at my medical Oct 8th so am pleased
Try to skip one meal a day and minimise Sugar and carbs meals on smaller plate aiming broadly 800 1000 calories a day
Doing really well then last night had wine crisps and chocolate! Not had for weeks! Hoping was a Friday night blip back on wagon now

Baguetteaboutit · 23/11/2019 07:38

Weekly weigh in says 10st 7.5 so 2lbs down on last week. I think I may have been working up to a gain before I became unwell as I'd been shockingly undisciplined at the beginning of the week.

Thanks downudderer and well done on the movement on the scales. I have quite a vague idea of what my ideal weight is. One thing is for sure, I seem to have a rock stead boob to waist ratio with the effect that I don't feel like I'm losing weight so much as just shrinking ConfusedGrin

Baguetteaboutit · 23/11/2019 07:41

That doesn't make sense, I mean I'm beginning to think I won't be able to diet my way out of an apple shape.

Egghead68 · 23/11/2019 08:05

Not going well today due to extreme tiredness.

Actual breakfast was - 2 mushroom buns, 2 halloumi kebabs, 2 chocolates, an orange twirl and some cough sweets - estimate about 1200-1400 calories.
Have to try to eat virtually nothing the rest of the day!

Howlongtillbedtime · 23/11/2019 08:42

Good morning all

Have had a really busy week , have managed to apply for a new job which is scary but exciting!
I am still not managing to get under the 14 stone annoyingly. Half a pound over which means I have lost 5 1/2 so far.
Sorry I haven't been around much and hope everyone is doing well.
Will have a read back .
A day of meal planning and shopping today.
And I guess I need to start christmas planning !!
Happy saturday all !

Ihatesundays · 23/11/2019 08:49

No change but I’ve had a few good days, and perhaps a cake last night Grin

cricketmum84 · 23/11/2019 09:05

Happy Saturday my lovelies!

Still 19.0 exactly.... although I had a "sod it" moment last night and had wine and half a vegetable calzone 😳 all my ww points have reset today for a new week so I'm back to being ultra good today!

Starting my day right with 2 pints of water and just made a green tea with some sliced fresh lemon in.
Lunch is salad with lemon and black pepper tuno (vegan tuna) and 2 thin slices of pumpernickel bread.
Dinner is a leftover portion of chickpea and spinach madras that I didn't have last night, brown rice and I will try make some sort of onion and tomato salad.

Not much activity today as I have quite a bit of work to catch up on plus it's miserable, rainy, cold and very windy outside!

Loving seeing all the losses coming in! You are all inspiring me to not eat the rest of the pizza or the cream bun in the fridge!
