Have just eaten ginger biscuits, so tired. Dd woke at 3:40 and refused to go back to sleep. She's probably sleeping happily away in nursery whilst I'm mainlining coffee and craving sugar.
Hope the plateaus break soon. Good news about getting into size down clothes @DownUdderer it always means so much more than a number on the scale.
Hope your dds stops causing you stress very soon @cricketmum84 so tough when work and home both stressful at same time

WoollyFoolly · 20/11/2019 21:46

Hope everyone's had a good day. I had a peanut butter sandwich for lunch (not really planned! But I do love peanut butter) and beany chilli for tea. And I'm still sticking at drinking LOADS of water.

Ihatesundays · 20/11/2019 21:52

Still no movement at all for me. But weirdly I felt thinner today/less bloated....hopefully means something.
I can remember being exactly the same weight as @Egghead68 Before I plateaued - I’m going to catch you up one day!!

Egghead68 · 20/11/2019 23:10

Don’t worry you will do - I’m plateauing now!

DownUdderer · 21/11/2019 03:21

I’ve had a yogurt, nuts and a babybell for breakfast. Egg and mayo on toast for lunch. Something with veggies for dinner. I try and drink plenty of water, but I don’t always get enough. I’m trying to get some good evening walks in. I’ll have a nice hike tomorrow.

I wore a new swimsuit in public today. First time this season. I felt ok, the more I do it the better I’ll feel.

cricketmum84 · 21/11/2019 07:18

Morning all! Day 21 already! Still plateauing. Surely this has to start moving soon!!

Don't have a set plan for today which is never good! I need to pick something up for lunch that's low in points but no idea what I fancy yet. Dinner is some sort of pasta, again I'm going to have a scroll through ww recipes and choose something low in points.

Feeling a bit demotivated today which is probably why I don't have a decent plan in place. Just too grumpy lol!

Hope everyone has a good day!

Plateau has gone! 72.8kg.... maybe I can make it under 70 for xmas

Egghead68 · 21/11/2019 07:34

Well done @Ihatesundays.

69kg
B: mushroom buns 200
L: Dahl 420
D: grain mix and veg 400
S: jelly, quark 200

MilesJuppIsMyBitch · 21/11/2019 08:07

Morning!

Hope everyone is having a good start to their day.

I keep falling off the thread (clumsy). The kids seem to be playing tag-virus and are taking turns being off sick, and now the little beggars are both here! I do miss my personal space. I'm not comfort eating (which is a result), but I'm not eating as mindfully as usual, because they're here filling up my mind!

KOKO.

Plan today is yoghurt, nuts, seeds and cranberries at nine, then puttanesca at about 14:30.

Making the Christmas pud this weekend: can't wait! [santa]

Onesmallstep67 · 21/11/2019 08:19

Morning everyone,
Everything crossed for you @Vebrithien, wonderful news.
Sending love @cricketmum84, sounds like you're facing some tough challenges with your DDS and I admire your willpower in sticking to any kind of plan with food at the moment
My partly self inflicted plateau continues. I'm still eating my lower calorie meals but managing to wedge in, in moments of total lack of self control , biscuits and ice cream. The 'good news' is that I am sticking at 16st 2lbs so managing not to put anything back on. I managed a bit of a walk in the park yesterday but it was too cold to stay out over long
So my new aim is simply to get under 16st by the end of the year and stay there. And then it'll be new year, new focus.

7Worfs · 21/11/2019 08:59

I’ve officially put a stop to the ready meals dinners yesterday - back to cooking, mostly root veg mashes, so I can do lazy weaning. Grin

The slow cooker is out, with pork in Coke inside. Will serve with pumpkin mash and steamed broccoli.

Egghead68 · 21/11/2019 12:20

Very good. I am afraid I am living on ready meals at the moment for the portion control (and out of laziness). I kid myself the vegan ones aren’t TOO unhealthy.

7Worfs · 21/11/2019 12:53

Yes, I’m a bit worried about portions too, I’m sure to eat more than 500kcal of home cooked dinner.

I last cooked in September 2019, when HG hit, I’m so out of practice/habit.

7Worfs · 21/11/2019 13:19

Doh, September 2018!

Sistercharlie · 21/11/2019 15:23

Hello! I have been reading this thread today because I have just tried on last year's "going out" dresses (have parents/school fund-raising event on 30th at which I am going to be hosting a table of people) and I can't fit in to any of them. They look all lumpy and REALLY horrible! Can hardly do up one of them! I am so ashamed and depressed at how I have allowed myself to get in to this state Sad Blush These clothes were my "fat" clothes too so there really is no excuse.

I have 3 stone to lose and I like the idea of tackling it at half a stone per month which seems realistic.

Well done to all of you on your significant weight losses!

Could I ask please (as I haven't followed from the beginning) - how are you all finding it -are you able to lose half a stone a month pretty regularly or is it more up and down than that? Do the seasons or any other factors affect the amount of weight lost? Any other tips?

TIA for any info!

WoollyFoolly · 21/11/2019 16:51

Hi sistercharlie I've been doing 16:8 combined with tracking calories on my fitness pal since May and have lost 2.5 stone. Most months I lose 5lbs or so, it's very very rare for me to hit 7lbs! I'm not being enormously strict either, I have regular occasions when I go out for meals/drinks etc and just don't think about it. It seems to be slowing down now, I don't know whether that's winter, fewer salads, less exercise? I'm not too fussed because I'm in the healthy BMI range now but I am intending to continue on 16:8 and no snacking for the foreseeable future, it just really works for me.

Ruksar · 21/11/2019 18:00

Hi can I join pleaseeee.

I was 10stone to begin with then got pregnant an put on 2 stones an now after the baby I'm now 13 stones Confused I need serious help. I'm finding it really hard to change my eating habits of having my daughter she is now 4months an I feel huggeee.

Ecci · 21/11/2019 18:34

Hi SisterCharlie, I started on August 1st and have lost 23.4 lbs up to yesterday, but only 3 lbs of it since November started, so I don't think I'm going to get to 7lbs off this month. I've recently gone below 200 lbs for the first time in years, now 199 lbs, so I've got a long way to go. I'm doing it by cutting down on portion sizes, mostly eating low fat and no potatoes, rice, pasta etc. I always have a slice of toast with ginger preserve for breakfast. I'm also eating lots of my version of Waldorf Salad (Apple, grapes, celery, walnuts and fat free natural yoghurt) and my version of Turkish Cabbage Salad (like you get in kebab shops). I love both these things and I have them at least once each day. So far it's working well.

MsTSwift · 21/11/2019 18:54

Weight dropping off

Egghead68 · 21/11/2019 18:58

@sistercharlie I started on Oct 5th I think - plain old-fashioned calorie counting (1400-1500 a day). Lost 3.2kg in October and 2.2kg so far this month. Also gone from a 16 to a 12-14. Challenge will be keeping it off.

Ihatesundays · 21/11/2019 21:18

I started in June and I’ve lost 9 kilos (20ibs). I don’t know how much further I’ll go. I’ve put on quite a bit of muscle as well.
I didn’t lose anything for the whole of october! It’s only going back on 16:8 that I’ve started losing again.

Sistercharlie · 21/11/2019 21:23

Wow! Thank you so much for all of these inspiring replies!
Really brilliant weight losses all of you! Congratulations!

A monthly 5lb loss over time adds up and I like the fact that none of you seem to be dieting in an extreme way. It really does sounds doable which is really encouraging!

Thank you for all of the tips too - missing a meal is something I try to do already (not always successfully) - and I definitely need to cut down on carbs. I am as yet undecided about calorie counting because I have had the best results in the past when I have tried to focus on things other than food and I always seem to give up logging on MFP when things get busy.

Well, you've convinced me ... I'm in if that's ok (starting late this month but I will join you on December 1st properly if I may!). Ideally want to lose about 20 kg overall, 6.35 kg at a time!

Good luck with your continuing weight loss everybody and thanks again for the advice!

Sistercharlie · 21/11/2019 21:25

Sorry, I meant even if I don't manage the full 7lbs per month, 5lbs is still very much worth doing ifyswim.

(Tired, not expressing myself well!) G'night all!

Egghead68 · 21/11/2019 21:48

Welcome @sistercharlie and @Ruksar!

cricketmum84 · 21/11/2019 21:57

Welcome @Sistercharlie and @Ruksar!

I've lost 6st 2lbs since last Christmas. Still around 5-6 stone to go. Mainly followed WW online, swapped to 16:8 and tracking calories for a couple of months but I've totally stalled so gone back to ww. Really need to kick this plateau and fast!

Had a nightmare getting home tonight, there was an attempted suicide on one of the main routes out of Leeds and the traffic was absolute carnage. Took 55 minutes just to get out of the car park. 3 hours and 20 minutes in total for a journey that normally takes about 45 minutes. Poured a big wine and ordered takeaway as neither of us fancied starting cooking at 8.30pm! Oh well, start again tomorrow!
