Will take me from now til Christmas Day.
I'm posting here for accountability.

No chocolate, cakes, biscuits, sweets, crisps, nuts, desserts, cider Hmm

Focus will be on 2/3 nutritious meals daily and hopefully going cold turkey on all the crap will make it easier to manage.

I'm not capable of having "A little bit" or "just one". So this is the plan. 100 days.

I'll weigh in tomorrow and take my measurements and aim to do this every 10 days.

And we're off! Grin

Hi ladies. How are you getting on? Monday is weigh in for me and I managed to lose the stone in the month I wanted. Yaaayyy!

Well done! I need to shed 3 pounds to get a stone off, I’m really hopeful. I will still have over a stone to loose. I feel better in my clothes already my belly doesn’t poke out like it used to!

I’m in a plateau. I hurt my back on Monday so I’ve really been unable to get my steps in. I think my eating has been pretty good, im desperate to see the scales go down! How about you?

Hi how is everyone doing? I've not checked in for ages. Stuck very well to the no contraband for about 20 straight days, but had a few blows and have kind of fallen off the wagon. School hols haven't helped either - routine is out the window. I'm still being mindful, and probably still doing enough to lose very very slowly, but I need to get some traction back. Definitely not weighing in again til I have another good week at least. It will need to be soon though or I'll never hit my targets. Very disappointed.

Does anyone know how many days to Christmas now?
I need to refocus as I got rather distracted.

I am continuing with Couch to 2k though and I'm waiting for an induction at the gym. Just need to get back to no snacks, smaller portions, more veg, etc, etc.

In answer to my own question, that'll be 58 days to Christmas - about 8 weeks. At 2lbs a week that's still going to be over 1 stone.
I might not managed the 2 stone I'd hoped for but I might manage 1.5.

How's everyone else doing?

I’m doing pretty good, I’ve lost 7lbs in October. I’m happy with that. I’m sticking to 16:8 pretty good and aiming to be low carb. I’m really really thinking about an egg fast for a couple of days. I just want to get to see 10st on the scales!

What's the egg fast? I'm not doing great but not horrendously...still being mindful, 16-8ing as much as possible but need to be stricter. For one reason or another we've had some rubbish in the house and I really struggle if it's there in front of me. Thankfully Halloween is low key here so little risk of contraband dragging on! I daren't weigh myself though BlushHope everyone is doing well.

After losing so much in the initial weeks I've plateaued for the last two weeks and haven't dropped so much as 1lb! So still at 1st loss which wouldn't be so hard if I didn't have such a long way to go.Totally gutted as I haven't fallen off the wagon and cheated. I blamed my period hormones but that's only one week 😂

I'm still going to crack on, but I can't eat much less calories than I am 😭😩

I'm hanging on...

Blimey, I had searched mumsnet for an egg fast and read an interesting thread about if from 2014. So I thought to myself ‘that sounds like a great idea’ but I ate 6 eggs yesterday and wasn’t hungry for dinner at all and now I can’t fancy another egg at all! You’re supposed to do it for 3 days, but I couldn’t face it!!

@BigFatBloomers I follow my own idea of low carbing and read the boot camp thread for inspiration and information. Someone their was eating too much cheese and not loosing weight and that resonated with me, and I stopped eating so much cheese, then I lost a couple of pounds!

How's it going guys?

Finally after two weeks of non movement I'm down another 4lbs!! I jumped on the scales twice because there is no rhyme or reason. I'm eating the same stuff.

My son had the most delicious chocolate cake over the weekend and it took ALL my strength 😩😩

Oh well and yay at the same time.

@DownUdderer it's really hard when you're at a plateau to carry on. I nearly gave up but I just can't afford to do so. I need to lose this fat 😔

Hopefully my post is a little motivation that if you stick at it that plateau will pass.

Well done @HelloAgainYou for resisting the cake!! DTS2 has broken his arm and been in hospital for a bit, which means that I've dropped off some threads and eaten my body weight in not very healthy hospital food Sad that combined with half term and now a grumbling small DC at home makes resisting chocolate very hard.....

I'm considering joining SW as a friend is doing it and really enjoying it. I do enjoy eating low carb more - as in, I find the food choices tastier - but perhaps I need something with more structure at the moment. I'd have to do it online though rather than drag a grumbling toddler to group with me Confused

I’m down a pound this morning, but I had been on a plateau for about 9 days before that.

I’ve had sushi today for lunch and I’m planning chicken and veg for dinner.

@DownUdderer Well done!. I'm still on one shake and one carb free dinner so how I went up by two pounds I don't know.

Anyway I must keep reminding myself that slow and steady wins the race!
