100 days....

Will take me from now til Christmas Day.
I'm posting here for accountability.

No chocolate, cakes, biscuits, sweets, crisps, nuts, desserts, cider Hmm

Focus will be on 2/3 nutritious meals daily and hopefully going cold turkey on all the crap will make it easier to manage.

I'm not capable of having "A little bit" or "just one". So this is the plan. 100 days.

I'll weigh in tomorrow and take my measurements and aim to do this every 10 days.

And we're off! Grin

Massive congrats Hopefully!!! So great to be on this journey!

DownUdderer · 27/09/2019 10:06

I’m hoping for a pound off when I weigh tomorrow.

I’ve been ok today, I think I’ve eaten wisely and I’ve enjoyed my food and I still feel focused!

How’s everyone else going?

Gertie75 · 27/09/2019 23:36

I weighed in today and lost 1.5lbs, very unexpected as I've eaten out twice plus had way too much chocolate and am due on.

If I could eat like last week and lose 1.5lbs without fail I'd be very happy.

I'm not complacent though so now have my head in the game and have set a target of 3 lbs this week.

DownUdderer · 28/09/2019 00:44

My bathroom scales have packed in! I’ll try and buy some new ones this afternoon. I was hoping to see a pound off this morning.

Initially the scales showed I’d lost three pounds, so after a couple of minutes I got back on to check if they were correct and I was a stone heavier! And after a further couple of minutes I got on again hoping to see something good but they were going up and up and got to 20st. So I’m pretty certain they’re knackered! I’d hoped to see 12st.

Onthebrink67 · 28/09/2019 07:19

One pound down for me this week- which is probably generous given my eating hasn’t been great and my exercise hasn’t really happened. I really need to get my act together and prioritise my health.

DownUdderer · 28/09/2019 07:44

I’ve been out to buy new bathroom scales! I am happy to say I’ve lost 5lbs in a week. I’m thrilled! I’m 11st 13, and I’m 38 yrs old. I’m aiming to get to 10st before my birthday in January.

Onthebrink67 · 28/09/2019 08:05

Brilliant DownUdderer

HelloAgainYou · 28/09/2019 08:17

Congrats @Gertie75 !

@Onthebrink67 down as well! Fantastic!

@DownUdderer that's awesome! Love how determined you are to get the scales and weigh in! That's a massive loss 🙌🏽

beela · 28/09/2019 08:24

All these losses.... Well done everyone!

I have maintained. But I'm cracking out my Jillian Michaels dvds this morning, and then I will make a meal plan for next week. Any recommendations for brilliant soup recipes?

DownUdderer · 28/09/2019 08:33

Thanks guys. I like being able to weigh in each morning, it gives me drive and focus! And when there is a loss it feels amazing. I’ve not tried to loose weight for years and it’s a new ball game for me so I’m relieved it’s working and feel thrilled that by Christmas I could be smaller. Maybe I can buy new clothes for a Christmas present for myself!

Good luck everyone else.

I’ve been looking on Pinterest for low carb recipes and food inspiration

Hopefullysmart · 29/09/2019 20:37

How is everyone getting on?

I fell off the wagon a wee bit tonight. Was out for dinner and had a cider and a small dessert. Have also had a few evenings out so have had fewer healthy meals and a few more drinks that I'd normally have.

It's probably as well I lost so much week 1 as I suspect week 2 might be less successful. If I stay the same I'll be relieved 😬

Still motivated though and don't have any doubt that I'll get back on it tomorrow.

Hope everyone is doing well Smile

I think you need a few treats along the way especially if you’re having an evening out.

I’m doing fine. I’m still seeing losses when I weigh myself. I think at some stage the losses will slow down and I’ll need to kick start a bit more exercise!

HelloAgainYou · 30/09/2019 07:17

@Hopefullysmart 😭😭 only 2.25lbs off this week but I've been super strict! One shake and one carb free dinner.

I lost 7lbs last week (first week) so like you I think that was misleading. I would have been happy with 3lbs but never mind.

Everyone has commented that I've lost weight but don't know if they're convincing themselves like I am!!

Onwards and upwards

DownUdderer · 03/10/2019 04:05

Hi guys, we’re inching closer to Christmas! How’s everyone doing? I’m hovering at 11st 9 at the moment and I’ll be extremely happy to finally loose a pound and wave it goodbye.

I’m enjoying everything that I’m eating at the moment and feeling hopeful I can carry on dropping weight.

HalfBearOtherHalfCat · 07/10/2019 06:08

Life just ate me alive for a little while there and I haven't been posting, but I'm still plugging away and haven't given up on being a stone lighter by Christmas. I've lost 4lb now, which is helping me stay motivated and is making me feel like it is possible.

Enjoying what you eat helps for sure DownUdderer, a diet with unsatisfying or tasteless grub is sure to encourage you to give up and dive back into the tasty junk - or it gets me that way anyway. It is finally starting to cool off here (has been 95F most days until very recently) so I am at last looking forward to lots of healthy veggie soups and curries now.

DownUdderer · 07/10/2019 06:16

I’m in a bit of a plateau with my weight and im finding it annoying, but I’m still eating low carb and doing 16:8. I’m hoping the weight will come off eventually. If I can shift 4 more pounds it’d be a stone off!

Not having any sugary snacks has helped me not feel hungry all the time!

HelloAgainYou · 07/10/2019 07:44

Weigh in today. Started three weeks ago at 16st 😔 now 15.3 so 11lbs so far. I was hoping for me given I haven't fallen off the wagon but it's still a loss which I'm happy with.

Massive well done @DownUdderer and @HalfBearOtherHalfCat

@Hopefullysmart how are you doing? x

DownUdderer · 07/10/2019 10:48

@HelloAgainYou that sounds like a good loss!

HelloAgainYou · 07/10/2019 21:33

Thanks Downudderer. I think because I lost so much in week 1, normal weight loss after feels a bit of an anti-climax. I really want to lose 3lbs this week so I can hit one stone in a month. I think I'll be a pound short!! Argh!!

DownUdderer · 08/10/2019 01:27

A stone in a month would be amazing and I can understand totally why you want to achieve that! But we’re not in control of the scales are we! I know when we put in a good effort with food we want the scales to show that, but if they don’t all we can do is be good for another week! I’m trying to encourage us both! My weight is in a mini plateau and I’ve been fed up but it’s my TOTM and I just can’t seem to overcome my hormones. I’ve eaten so well and done some hiking.

We’ll be better than if we’d done nothing at all and we’ve still got a few weeks before Christmas comes!
