100 days....

Hopefullysmart · 16/09/2019 00:09

Will take me from now til Christmas Day.
I'm posting here for accountability.

No chocolate, cakes, biscuits, sweets, crisps, nuts, desserts, cider Hmm

Focus will be on 2/3 nutritious meals daily and hopefully going cold turkey on all the crap will make it easier to manage.

I'm not capable of having "A little bit" or "just one". So this is the plan. 100 days.

I'll weigh in tomorrow and take my measurements and aim to do this every 10 days.

And we're off! Grin

I was good yesterday until about 6pm where I inhaled everything I could find 🤦🏽‍♀️ determined to be good today.

I'm going to weigh every Thursday and Monday.

Good luck everyone one 🤞🏻

muddledmidget · 17/09/2019 08:14

Yesterday went almost to plan, a hot chocolate and 2 biscuits got added in during the evening as I was a bit cold.

Also managed to go to the gym, complete week 1 of couch to 10k and do my 10k steps, so I was happy with that. Weight this morning was 11st7.5.

Plan for today:
B: smoked salmon and soft cheese bagel,
L: leftover stirfryand protein noodles
D: veggie chilli and rice

Exercise: 10k steps, gym and the next run.

Hope everyone else has a good day

MorgenMuffel · 17/09/2019 08:42

Morning all and hi to anyone new who has signed on! Day 99!

Good to read others' motivation and plans.

I had a good first day...thin bagel and boiled egg for lunch then chicken kiev, peas and boiled potatoes for dinner, and not a morsel more! Just need to keep on it...

Hope everyone has a good day Smile

Meant to add, I've just done an hour of washing windows and mirrors and vacuuming, and I'm certain I worked up as much of a sweat as I did yesterday on the exercise bike! It was much less boring and far more productive!!

Hi everyone and welcome to the newbies.

I did ok yesterday, I had a particularly stressful day but managed to stay on track and not eat any junk food or have any Diet Coke.

Got a massive headache today, that will be the lack of Diet Coke and sugar.

Beautiful day here today, I'm going to tidy up the garden.

Be good all of you. Grin

MorgenMuffel · 17/09/2019 19:01

Oh dear what a day. Had a snackcident after a stressful start to the day and went downhill from there! Focusing on having a better day tomorrow....

muddledmidget · 17/09/2019 21:33

Hi to everyone,

I'm not sure what's happened to me today but I've been like the very hungry caterpillar and feel like I haven't stopped eating all day.

I didn't make it to the gym as my neck and shoulders were still tight from yesterday but I did do 14k steps so all is not list, and I took a leaf out of Hopefully's book and did some housework!

Plan for tomorrow is gym and healthy eating, and ignoring the huge chocolate brownie that my husband made for during bake off (couldn't ignore it hot from the oven). Tomorrow afternoon I'm going to watch Downton Abbey by myself at the cinema as no one wanted to come with me. Should be able to avoid eating for 2 hours at least while I'm watching that!

PersilWhite · 17/09/2019 22:54

Evening all
May I come and join you too?
Currently about 15.3 and, at 5'4", that's much more curvy than I want to be. I've lost track of what would be a good weight for me now (and bloody menopause doesn't help) but I'd like to start by getting down to 14st.
Will weigh properly tomorrow
Starting Couch to 5k (again) tomorrow to try and get me motivated.

Need to cut back on carbs and sugar.

Gertie75 · 17/09/2019 23:16

Hi,
I've just come on to start exactly the same thread as I thought today was 100 days!

I've been trying to lose weight but only managing a few days and really need something like this for support.

ReggieRed · 17/09/2019 23:23

Hi all,

Jumping on to say I've finally found something that's working! I'm calorie counting with MFP, my limit is 1690 a day and 3 weeks in I've lost 6lbs! So happy!

I'm trying to get 3 gym sessions a week (not always successful but try my best)

I've not deprived myself and achieved this with still drinking wine, gin, eating McDonald's and waga's but just watching the calories!

Starting weight was 10st 13lbs and I'm 5ft 4in

Keep going everyone!

Campervan69 · 17/09/2019 23:23

Hello I am joining in because I joined Weight Watchers thread last week when I started back at Weight Watchers and nobody has been on it.

SW 11 stone 8lbs
Last week 11 stone 4lbs

Weigh in tomorrow so fingers crossed. I had a bit of a bad weekend unfortunately has went out with school mums for delicious meal and drinks on Friday then went camping with the kids Saturday and Sunday so was very hard to stick to a plan.

Back on it now though.

Campervan69 · 17/09/2019 23:25

Bugger that's wrong.

SW 12 stone 8lbs
Last week 12 stone 4lbs

I wish I was down to 11 stone 4lbs Hmm

Hopefullysmart · 18/09/2019 00:30

Hi everyone new and old. Great minds think alike re. 100 Days! Grin

Hope everyone had a good day. My meals weren't as healthy as I'd hoped - cafe sandwich as I was out, but nothing with it, and filled pasta for dinner as under pressure time wise: however I'm not beating myself up about it because the main thing for
me is the abstaining and I did that - I've had none of the things I have vowed to give up, so 2 successful days in a row.

Good luck tomorrow everyone!

Morning Brew

@hopefullysmart please can I have some of your positivity...soooo tired this morning and that always makes me reach for empty calories. Maybe I should see my mouth shut....

Hopefullysmart · 18/09/2019 07:57

Oh no Morgan, I'm exhausted too this morning...upside to cutting out crap - lots of energy. Downsize to cutting out crap - lots of energy 😫 - was still awake at 2.30am 🙈🙈🙈

Still, being positive and sending some positivity your way!

I'm likening this to when I gave up smoking 12 years ago - I honestly found it pretty easy because it was non negotiable. Cutting down, limiting never worked for me because I just don't have the discipline but weirdly total abstinence works. Big talk for day 3! Grin

I actually have already given up biscuits since mid- May just to prove I could as they are my Achilles Heel.

We got this!!

BigFatBloomers · 18/09/2019 08:48

Enjoying your positivity Hopefullysmart!
So are you just cutting out the rubbish?
I need to remember that I’m eating healthily. It’s so easy to forget.
As I said I’m starting running again today so that should help.
Pint of lemon in warm water and 6 almonds so far. Off to walk the dog.

melmos · 18/09/2019 10:58

Hi Everyone,

So last night was a bit of disaster as i ended up having pasta, garlic bread and bottle of wine. Oops! Was good in work though and did some batch cooking. Also weighed myself and I am heavier than I thought. Would like to lose a stone before Christmas (really the Christmas party!)

Pan for

melmos · 18/09/2019 11:12

Posted too soon!

Plan for today
B: Burrito
L: Leftover pasta
D: Stir fry or curry

I'm not doing a strict diet just three meals a day, just cut out snacks and wine during the week. Try and make sure that 18/21 meals of the week are are healthy, balanced and reasonably light.

Hopefullysmart - thank you for setting up the thread, and well done your positively - i hope it rubs of on me

SpreadHummusNotHate - love your user name and meals! They inspired my breakfast burrito Smile

Good luck today everyone

Hopefullysmart · 18/09/2019 11:16

BigFatBloomers yep just cutting out anything that isn't part of a meal, and also trying to restrict myself to 2 meals a day (which also means I'm technically doing 16:8 as I'm not having breakfast. If this works for me I'll be mad I never did it years ago Grin

OP posts:
Hopefullysmart · 18/09/2019 11:20

melmos no problem Smile

I had pasta and garlic bread last night too and definitely don't consider it a disaster- I was mindful of my portion control and sanity checked the calories too but because I'm limiting my cals so much by cutting out the crap it will still be fine, if not the most nutritious...

We got this!

Hi

Today is going to plan so far, have been to the gym and completed week 2 run 1 of c210k and have eaten a smoked salmon bagel for breakfast. Planning to skip lunch as I've nipped home for a shower but at the cinema at 1pm so need to leave home about 12.15. Will have snack later and then spaghetti with roasted veg and feta for dinner (and no chocolate brownie)
