Following on from the July thread for those who wish to carry on and for new joiners alike.

Ive been inspired by the ladies who posted on the July thread. There have been some awesome losses.

Not quite the end of the month and I’ve achieved my July goal of getting below the elusive 140lbs. As of this morning I was 139.6lbs, bmi 27.3. Down from 145.9lbs, bmi 28.5.

I’m doing a lower carb Mediterranean diet. Plenty of veg, some berries, salad, olive oil, butter, cream, fish, chicken and some red meat. Occasionally I will have whole grain rice and gluten free pasta (good for my micro biome). I rarely drink alcohol. Chocolate can be my downfall Grin. I naturally only want to eat twice a day. I’ve read that intermittent fasting can be beneficial in the battle of the bulge as well as keeping blood sugars in check.

How do you intend to lose?

Any tips you’d like to share?

My tips are drink plenty of water and be mindful of portion sizes.

Well and truly off the wagon today. Though I DID stick to my window but ended up with chicken balls in batter with teriyaki sauce, the worlds most HORRENDOUS hog roast, watery mash in a Yorkshire pudding that I shared with dh (both felt vile after) and then went to McDonald's on the way back. I had a double quarter pounder Blush BUT no bun and no ketchup/mustard. I must have looked a right loon sat in McDonald's eating a naked burger with a fork and knife in a rainbow sequin jacket. Closed my window at the appropriate time and ready to deal with the consequences tomorrow. Line under it and NEXT.

I hunted high and low but could not find a single keto friendly dish in that place. Must keep that in mind for the future.

Hi, I know we're nearly half way through the month, but can I join please? I'm now the heaviest I've ever been, 11.10, I'm short, not quite 5'2" so it really shows. I went to the gym today , which is good, but I go on holiday next sun, feeling desperate that I need to trim a little by the weekend.

I’ve a few mini goals this week:-

  1. See the 2lb off which has underservedly snook on!
  2. Weigh daily to ensure no other flubber joins it!
  3. I’ve meal planned until Wednesday (then I need a shop)
  4. Continue with ACV
  5. Continue with IF 17/7

@IamHyouweegobshite of course, it’s never too late.

@cheesenpickles you did the best you could. How was it? Did you go on any rides?

My plan is to keep doing what I'm doing. I have meal planned till Thursday night as we go away Friday morning for the weekend. Getting the shopping at lunch time.

I feel awful today. That food really has done a number on my guts. Confused Back to normality today. I went up 2.9lb from what's been my lowest weight but that'll be water retention etc. Hopefully have that off by the end of the week. It was good fun but super tired now. Thankfully the other festivals I'm heading to this month I'm more familiar with and know where I can get food from outside so hopefully won't have this again.

Morning all,
Also had a bit of a cheat day and went mad on tomatoes and a cheat fig hahahahaha! Not exactly bad but still!!! Didn't bother logging food yesterday just cut out dinner and went to bed. Decided to measure my waist this morning and have lost three inches off it. Was expecting one as basically it all looks the same but jeans def looser.
Had bulletproof coffee and not sure what day holds really -bit worn out by busy weekend but might take kids out today. It's hard planning food around this stuff but just trying to stick to keto principles as much as I can.
@Notopel another spinning fan her! Was going to do a session this morning but no energy... 😬 @cheesenpickles never mind! I reckon a good feast day is ok every now and then and I bet your metabolism fires up now as a result. A nutritionist friend said it was good to have a carb day every so often...

Yeah @dancingmom I was looking at carb cycling and wondering if the shock to the system might kick start some additional loss. I'm already lighter than I have been in years. And festivals are always full of fab vintage clothes that I can't fit in, this time though everything fit me perfectly or was too big. Was lovely Grin

I definitely think I'm what you call lazy keto as well @dancingmum, though pro ably more just low carb. I always try and keep my carbs under 20g but don't beat myself up as long as they're under 50g.

I did really try and stick to macros but it's SO hard.

Morning everyone, happy Monday. Tonight would normally be my SW weigh in but I can't make it so will be going to tomorrow's group instead. Gives me an extra day to try and get rid of my seaside weight. 😂

I'm out all day today. I've just had breakfast (shreddies) and my evening meal will be on plan as it's my Mum cooking it but lunch will be whatever I can find while I'm out and about. Need to not give in to the siren call of the fast food outlets. I'm thinking perhaps a subway salad?

@dancingmom Just did a Matt Wilpers 60 min power zone but had to crash out at 50 mins. No way I was going to be able to complete another 9 mins at zone 5 😰

Just weighed myself 13st 1 - last thrs I was 13st 3 and the week before 13st 6. So making good progress!

Im finding it easy to shift the weight on my waist but my hips are massive. I struggled to get size 14 jeans over my hips and thighs but then they were loose at my waist. Feel like my body type has totally changed!

Just had lunch. Two different flavours of Moorish hummus with cucumber and celery sticks and two home made rosemary and salt crackers. They taste nice but are very hard with being made with GF flour. Going to carry on tidying and cleaning my bedroom then might have a little sweet treat.

And I stayed off the scales! Wednesday is weighing in day.

I can't remember if I posted before but I went on to the NHS site to get my BMI. To be at the lower end of what they are saying (which I don't want) I would have to lose 5 stone. How can that be right? It's such a large amount and it knows my age, sex and height.

Good afternoon.

Not a great weigh in this morning, 100% of last week's weight has apparently pinged back on. 😅😅

Not too worried as I suspect a lot is bloating, I'm on day one of my cycle (yay Monday 🙄 ). Also ate a big meaty dinner at the restaurant, might take a while to process 😂. Hoping for a whoosh next week!

Ended up not awful on calories, certainly best week in a while. Looking ok today. Porridge for breakfast and a Tuna wrap at lunch. Only apples and a small snack.

As long as I'm halting the weight creeping back on that's a good start. I can still just fit into my new clothes I bought when I lost weight, don't want to get any bigger!

Hoping your Mondays have gone well, I'm off to make a cake. 🍰

@SunshineCake it's awful when that happens and it seems like an impossible amount. 😞 but just think anything is a step in the right direction.

My period started this morning no wonder I was starving last week and my boobs were killing. I'm one of those people who started 7 weeks after I had a baby even though I exclusively breastfeed. What rotten luck 😭

doadeer it says my healthy weight is between 7 st 13 and 10 10. It's ridiculous. I'm five foot five.

Huel for dinner as I didn’t feel like cooking. Paying now for my laziness.

It’s not awful. I just don’t see how I’m going to drink 500ml of it. Tastes bitty even though I blended it. Tried the vanilla with a cacoa flavour boost sachet.

Think I’m going to blend up another tonight and leave it in the fridge overnight. Apparently this improves the texture.

Going to have nightmares tonight of a dystopian future where we’ve wrecked the environment, and are all living in a post-apocalypse space bunker, existing solely on pea protein 😱

Evening everyone, hope you're all ok. Breakie: Greek yoghurt and fruit. Lunch: wholemeal roll with ham and loads of homegrown tomatoes and cucumber. Dinner: chicken with loads of brocolli and roasted veg. Didn't drink enough water, so now drinking loads. Appetite is so much better since I quit the sugar and started limiting the carbs. Am full on 1200 cals max a day. Amazing! I worked out what I was having before I started this, and it was well over 1900. And I was always hungry. Keep going you amazing lot x

Seems like a mixed bag on here. Flowers all round.

Had a good enough day, 15 hour fast and eating in moderation. Lots of fruit and veg.

14 days straight of yoga and I can feel my core being stronger - even though I'm doing on average about 25 minutes and mostly gentle stuff.

@doadeer my cycle came back straight away too - it was very annoying.

Sounds like everyone is doing well. I've had a couple of okish days. Not perfect but better than my diet has been all year so that's still good. Not a wiggle on the scales so far this week and I've only got a couple of days until my official week weight in. Oh a little victory is that I said no to - ice cream, McDonald's chips , doritos and a chocolate bar through out the day on sunday :)

@Cary2012 the appetite reduction is kind of shocking. I haven't been truly hungry in ages - I just get s but tired and weak and know I need to eat. It's a different feeling...

I've got a bloody earache and feel crap tonight. Why oh why are school hols such hard work. 8 year old had screaming fit because I cooked broccoli. I'm worn out.

My DS is teething horribly and just howling all night I've been having about 3-4 hours sleep. Going to visit family tomorrow and it's chocca block. My God it's harder to make good food decisions when you are shattered!

Breakfast - half avocado, tomato, two crackers and a satsuma
Lunch - oven salmon and M&S green superfood salad pot
Snack - latte with skimmed milk
Dinner - oven chicken breast, parsnip, carrot, small bit of potato, corn and gravy.

Going to have a night blend herbal tea. I haven't even packed for tomorrow I'm so tired 🥴

Has a good day today though TOTM and fall out from weekend I'm feeling a tad rough. Fasted till 5pm and made a balsamic, Dijon, chicken thighs and broccoli tray bake (or sheet pan meal as the recipe said) with creamed cabbage. Smacked on cheese and a pepperami, though 5 rogue haribos did fall in mouth. Finished off with a mint matcha green tea. Around 1k calories and def not in ketosis but hoping I can kickstart back in. I'm assuming I can drop the 2.9lb that crept on over the weekend pretty easily and I'm still lighter than a week ago. It's my birthday soon and I'd LOVE to be in the 160s by then.
