Happier that's an amazing loss well done!

It's DD's birthday on Monday and I said she could choose anything she likes for dinner. She's gone for chickpea and lentil soup Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/06/2019 20:23

Eaten loads and done lots of running around but haven't measured many steps. I was carrying cups though.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 15/06/2019 21:23

Hope you had a great birthday Wreck.

Right, I need to get back to this exercising and eating well lark. I'm feeling all bloated and my skin isn't looking to great. I know it's a combination of rubbish sleeping and eating too much junk (when the kids are in bed, so they can't see how bad it is!).

So will weigh in tomorrow and will do some exercises in the evening and hopefully that will help me sleep better.

Hope everyone is ok x

WreckTangled · 15/06/2019 21:39

I have a Chinese food baby currently. Looking about 16 weeks gone 🤣 will try and sweat is all out spinning tomorrow.

Welcome back curvy I find evenings the hardest. I've got some options hot chocolate to try and distract me next week, hopefully it'll work.

WreckTangled · 16/06/2019 07:24

Eugh. Not feeling spinning this morning it's dark and dreary. I'll go though and feel better for it I'm sure.

WreckTangled · 16/06/2019 10:26

Spinning done. Felt a bit sick.

Was going to be healthy today but our nearest dominos is doing any pizza for £4.99 so there goes that Grin

Not2bObvious · 16/06/2019 10:41

Sod that - have the pizza, I’ll be eating out myself later, Fathers Day treat for the gang. This was the day I shouldn’t have stood on the scales so I’m going to completely ignore it as it’s beyond a physical possibility to gain what I saw. I’m traumatised 😂

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 16/06/2019 10:50

Weigh in 80.1 kg.
So I have gained a bit of weight, but that is ok and tbh I thought it was going to be much worse.
Will now start MFP again so I can track all the food, and hopefully that will make me more accountable.
Well done Wreck on the spinning class.
Not, ignore, ignore, ignore!

I have to do lots of sorting and housework today, so hopefully that will help with starting to shift some weight.
Hope you all have a good day.

Not2bObvious · 16/06/2019 11:19

Nice to have you back posting curvy, and fair play for weighing in - it’s a nice surprise isn’t it when you get a lower weight after a bit of a swerve. You’ll smash it this week with that positivity.
I’m just going to make sure I get my steps today and do my best all week. I’m back in the 150’s (since I’m ignoring today’s revolting number) for 3 weeks. And I will get closer to the mid 150’s in the next 10 days...or cry/die trying 😂

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/06/2019 15:21

Hey curvy, welcome back.
My god I just feel exhausted today. Off track with everything

Not2bObvious · 16/06/2019 17:33

Sunday is meant to be the day of rest life, I hope you’re relaxed and get rested for the week ahead. Meal out was only ok, the kids didn’t like it - so yeah €€€’s for sour faces and moaning. Our food was good enough but not amazing. I walked to/from so have over 12,500 steps done. What a bloody spendy weekend. Gift for my own Dad and then paid for their “gifts” and meal out.

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 16/06/2019 17:46

That's annoying not this is why I often hate going out to eat. Why pay loads when you can make better at home?! So frustrating. What did the dc have that then didn't like?

Not2bObvious · 16/06/2019 18:28

I was raging! I dunno, something about the pizza base which neither me or himself could figure out. Our dishes had been left on the pass too long so were a bit cold/dried out but no worth giving out about. Last time we were there it was amazing so yeah a bit of a let down. So much crap food this weekend, what a waste of calories & cash!

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 16/06/2019 18:52

It's rubbish when eating out is such a disappointment and a waste of calories. I'm in full on greedy bastard mode here. Full Sunday roast followed by warm brownie and my second Ice cream of the day.

Not2bObvious · 16/06/2019 18:59

That sounds delicious life. I think in the interests of all our sanity we should avoid the sad step til Tuesday at the earliest...maybe even Wednesday in my case. Just had a lump of cakeBlush

Hi all
Was going to try out new local Chinese this evening but instead I got this yellow sticker bargain & put it with some Parmesan/bacon medallions/egg yolk
Also got a yellow sticker lemon cheesecake because my mother's coming to visit & bringing my Nan
Wish they'd come because I wanna go to my bed early tonight

That looks good happier. I will weigh but in fully expecting to be back where I started at 130.

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/06/2019 06:25

Sts this morning. Back to it today. Thank God it has stopped raining and I can walk to work again

Not2bObvious · 17/06/2019 07:44

That’s good life, hurrah to the rain stopping. There was torrential rain here last night but it’s lovely & sunny now so I’ll do the school run, go for about an hour walk and then out to my office after the traffic dies down a bit. Have eaten my breakfast so there’ll be no weigh in today, which was the plan anyway but the temptation was there. If I’d sts as yesterday I’d be like a demon (and I’m sure I have)

I need some vegetable inspiration. I buy carrots broccoli and cauliflower but they linger in my fridge. What do you use mid week for dinners? I recall frozen being soggy. Or should I just stop being lazy and chop and cook them. Tbf is DH more than me, he seems to have a veggie blind spot

WreckTangled · 17/06/2019 10:25

I'm not a fan of frozen we just keep it for emergencies. I do like frozen butternut squash though just roast it straight from frozen.

Not2bObvious · 17/06/2019 12:23

Frozen mixed peppers, frozen onions - very handy & work great for bolognese/currys etc. I love cooking up a few and popping them in an omelette

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 17/06/2019 12:46

My dm came to stay last night and scales is in the room she was sleeping so I couldn't weigh Grin

Yesterday's food is not tracked but I had a toasted special with chips on brown bread, the pasta above and a small slice of lemon cheesecake. I wasn't badly hungover so it was easier to keep on track, new guy isn't a big eater at all so I suppose that's a bonus too.

For veg I use birds eye steamfresh veg because I'm only cooking for me usually so it's portion control. I always have frozen veg in freezer too so sweetcorn mixed into tuna from frozen, defrosted by lunch. Broccoli because it's my favourite veg. I also use onions and peppers quite a lot too. Carrots I grate into bolognese.

Actually you've made me think about doing a roast chicken the evening that dc eat with me this week. Could use up a few carrots then Grin

Happierwithouthim · 17/06/2019 15:53

My steps & calorie burn are going to improve, my boss got me a standing desk when he saw me with back trouble in last few weeks. We'd discussed it before

Not2bObvious · 17/06/2019 16:51

I’m so jealous happier! I’d love a standing desk, but I don’t work long enough in either of my jobs to warrant it. But I’ve managed to make a standing station for when I work from home & it’s great.
Today is going good - very busy & not much time on my phone although I am listening to loads of podcasts
