Hello everyone!

On Monday, as i got new scales i was : 10st 8 1/4

Today which is my usual weigh in: 10st 6

So 2lbs gone! Focusing on the half a stone before i move onto any other goals now. I stopped eating at 4pm yesterday, had an early tea, but new if i ate anything else i would binge. So it was either stop eating or feel like crap because i ate crap!

Feel really motivated atm!

LadyBrienneofTarth · 26/04/2019 15:56

Blast

update no. 3 on Friday 26 April

Starting: 11 stone
Current: 10 stone 6.4 lbs (up 1.8 from earlier in the week )
Goal: 8 stone 7 lbs

Blasted work travel
What I did wrong I think was not get the portions right (too much) and think I could have some carbs because I was under my calorie count - clearly I can't go over the carb percentage allowance without paying for it

Onward - I'm going to get this

Stiffasaboard · 26/04/2019 16:34

Some great losses here well done peeps

I’ve gained 1.5lbs Hmm

Just cannot get going

Realise I’ve been officially dieting since start of feb and I’m overall 2lbs up.

Yay for me!!!! Not quite what I had in mind!

Eattothebeat · 26/04/2019 17:35

stiffasaboard just keep going - if you hadn't been dieting you may well have put on a lot more - I keep reading threads about people gaining a stone and a half since xmas etc so in the great scheme of things 2lbs isn't much and a trip to the loo could make a difference!
Well done to everyone who's lost so far.

WhoAteMyNuts · 26/04/2019 17:42

Stiffasaboard don't give up. View it simply that you have been maintaining your current weight.

hilbil21 · 26/04/2019 18:35

Although I am happy doing WW just now I have a few friends who have had great success doing RH Fitness. I think a lot of it is based on macros etc. Worth a look for those of you who are struggling maybe?

mamaduckbone · 26/04/2019 18:37

Confession...
It's Friday night wine and pizza chez duckbone. Oh dear. There may even be chocolate for pudding.
Back on it tomorrow 😬

Holibobsing · 26/04/2019 18:49

Hi stiffasaboard . Is it because you're near your target weight? Have you possibly increased muscle weight with excercise? You could try to up your water intake a bit in the evening to stave off grazing. I think they call it hitting a plateau near target.

LadyBrienneofTarth · 26/04/2019 19:04

@Stiffasaboard do you want to do mfp macros with me ? It does work if you stick to it - come be my buddy

Stiffasaboard · 26/04/2019 20:56

@lady I’d be seriously embarrassed for anyone to see my awful daily intake!

No I’m not near target I’m away from it!
I was at target for years and years until 6months ago and it’s just steadily gone up by half a stone then about ten pounds away from what I maintained for ages.
To be fair I have done body weight and light hand weight training for last twelve months so a teeny bit could be muscle

But I can def see the fat. Everything i wear is tight.

I need to low carb or at least stop the carbs snacks.

I nibble. On all the stuff I tell myself I don’t eat!

Started doing it post work today having had a very frugal day really - got home and had a few pork scratching things, a slither of cake, a yoghurt, a mouthful of ice cream, a tiny bite of leftover bread and butter pudding......

But I’ve now done a ten mile run and drank a pint of water. I’m not hungry but then my brain is saying but you haven’t had tea- have some supper!!

I’ll go and have a bath and a coffee I think

Thanks for the encouragement all. We are all finding our way and trying to be healthier.

It’s so hard!

This is exactly what I do! We tend to eat our evening meal once dc are in bed asleep - but as they get older and that gets later, so does our mealtime. And in the meantime I either get hangry or I graze. There's always an excuse (oh I had a very light lunch, so these calories really just make that up to an average lunch etc etc) but perhaps I just need to eat more at lunchtime and somehow find a way we can all eat together in the evenings at a sensible time.

WhoAteMyNuts · 27/04/2019 10:34

It's defintely more about the mind than the stomach in my case. I need to decide whether I should have food A or food B depending on what I have had or going to have later in the day.

PCBananaHammock · 27/04/2019 10:36

So weigh day today...

Start 12st 6

Last week 11st 9

Been plateaued for three weeks at 11st 9, have been swimming a few times this week and tried very hard not to cheat on slimming world...

11st 6 this morning!

Have done a stone, now one stone to go until target weight before 31st July.

Stiffasaboard · 27/04/2019 14:55

@PC that’s fantastic!! You can do it!

Kneehighinshit · 27/04/2019 18:00

The scales have not budged at all this week even with eating better and regular workouts. I'm annoyed at the numbers but certainly feel less rounded in the tummy compared to last week! Easter eggs have nearly all disappeared from the house!!!

LadyBrienneofTarth · 27/04/2019 18:12

update no. 4 on Saturday 27 April

Starting: 11 stone
Current: 10 stone 6 lbs (down .4 from yesterday)
Goal: 8 stone 7 lbs

One step forward ...

beela · 27/04/2019 18:40

A sociable and cakey weekend here. I'm enjoying it but not going crazy, then my plan for next week is plenty of veg, plenty of water, plenty of exercise. A month until our holiday!!

WhoAteMyNuts · 28/04/2019 06:23

Official weigh in not until Tuesday but that gain I had a few days has gone and given that I have been plateauing for a bit I am hoping for a whoosh sometime soon.

Recently I haven't been very hungry so I am hoping that my new habits have finally kicked in.

Hope everyone is doing ok.

WhoAteMyNuts · 28/04/2019 06:26

How is everyone rewarding themselves non food wise?

I am thinking of booking a personal shopper experience at John Lewis when I reach my target as I need to replace most of my clothes.

Furkle · 28/04/2019 08:21

Morning! So the day I posted here is the day I managed to wash my phone (thanks dd) so I've been phone less all week.

Just weighed myself and I'm -2lb which I'm mega happy with as it's my monthly atm and there's still Easter chocolate everywhere!

LadyBrienneofTarth · 28/04/2019 15:43

update no. 5 on Sunday 28 April

Starting: 11 stone
Current: 10 stone 5.6 lbs (down .4 from yesterday)
Goal: 8 stone 7 lbs

Two steps forward ...

LadyBrienneofTarth · 28/04/2019 17:15

@Furkle well done ! That's awesome.

@WhoAteMyNuts great question! For me, clothes I think - I've been hiding in black for so long I think some color would be good. I have three goals:

  1. By May 7th - 140 pounds (10 stones) - another 5.6 pounds to go (ok ... in retrospect this might be completely unachievable ... )
  1. By June 10th - 135 pounds (9 stone 9 pounds)
  1. By July 15th - 130 pounds (9 stone 4 pounds)
beela · 28/04/2019 22:06

Oh goodness me, not a weight loss friendly weekend!

Tomorrow is a new day though, and I am armed with a healthy meal plan! Bring it on. Feeling motivated.

MenstruatorExtraordinaire · 28/04/2019 22:18

I have had a disastrous weekend topped off with a fabulous meal out for my husband's birthday. Plus I also missed the exercise class I was planning to go to today because I got the time wrong so didn't even get the exercise in today.

Tomorrow is another day.....

Holibobsing · 29/04/2019 08:19

Disasterous gain here ! Was 12.6 Saturday. 12.11 this morning. 5 lbs Yes, 5 pounds- nearly half a stone! . To much to count alcohol on Saturday night, McDonald's with shake yesterday Blush. The first fall off the wagon in 9 weeks of consistent losses.

Am I kidding myself that some is water wieght?
