New thread!
Right peeps we are starting again tomorrow.
Can post a starting weight if you want and how you plan to achieve this feat.

Progress reports and motivation daily ideally but post when you can.

We got this.

Today is the day! Feeling knackered as slept very badly but determined not to let that derail me. I want to lose half a stone by the end of May and I'm going to low carb and exercise. Having summer just round the corner is a good motivator.

ItsalmostSummer · 23/04/2019 06:53

Hello there! I don’t know any of you but I desperately need to join. I cannot do this alone. I will low carb and do exercise 3-4 times a week. Just walking to get started. Please and thank you 🙏

NotMyUsualTopBilling · 23/04/2019 07:01

I'm in. I'd like to lose 7lbs (1.5st total to lose) by the end of May.

Plan to keep a food diary (anyone mind if I post it on here each day?), and just focus on making healthy choices/habits.

I lost a lot with Slimming World but got so fed up of the meetings and had other stuff going on so stopped going and it's gradually tipping back on. Seriously debating starting again as a new member but I'd rather avoid it if I can.

WhoAteMyNuts · 23/04/2019 07:06

Just weighed again and I am on that annoying plateau. Keeping going though.

LadyBrienneofTarth · 23/04/2019 07:13

Can I join in ?

I have lost 7 lbs and need to lose another 25 lbs

So we weight in and post once per day ?

beela · 23/04/2019 07:16

Good morning! And hello to all the newcomers Smile

Yesterday was a good restart, I'm going to award myself 9/10 (lost a point for a bit of chocolate.... there is still a LOT in our house!).

I've decided to do a 30 day plank challenge as my tummy is the bit that needs toning up and I did notice the difference last time I attempted it.

MenstruatorExtraordinaire · 23/04/2019 07:22

12 stone 4lb this morning.

Spent the first 1/4 of this year deciding weighing myself was demotivating and where's that got me? 7lbs heavier than I've ever been. Bugger.

Starting today. Aiming to lose a stone for now. Tracking on MFP, a walk every lunchtime and a class in the evening.

SmellTheGlove · 23/04/2019 07:24

Can I join? I'm feeling fed up and embarrassed that I ate so much chocolate over the last week. We had 2 official Easters with family so twice the damage. I have spent the past year pretty much gaining and losing the same 2 pounds, and now I have an extra 3 to add to that! I can only lose about half a pound a week - if I eat less than 1500 a day I get very grumpy and end up over eating! I weighed in this morning at 11.2. At the start of last week I was 10.12. so I am gutted. Goal is 10.10, which gives me a BMI of 22.

Stiffasaboard · 23/04/2019 08:10

Morning all! Lovely to have so many on board.

Shall we have a list of start weights and then lost so far to keep motivated else it’s hard to know where everyone is?

Not sure I can face a weigh in but I know I need to do am going to finish my cuppa and brave the scales. Ugh.

Yesterday was ok- started a mini binge at lunch but stopped it and did loads of exercise. Evening was ok until I had some bread and then a yoghurt lolly BUT I did brush my teeth before I did a late dog walk so didn’t eat again when I got in

Think the teeth brushing at 8pm is the way to go actually.

Do people find they can be honest with MFP? I track in the day then give up for teatime because of the weighing etc (so hard to log when you cook from scratch and serve at the table) and then convince myself I’ve got loads left when I no doubt have gone over!

OP posts:
NotMyUsualTopBilling · 23/04/2019 08:23

Starting weight: 12st 8.25lbs 🥺

I'm another who doesn't get on with MFP, I just find weighing and tracking every single calorie so tedious. Would love to master it though!

Meal plan:
Mixed berry overnight oats
Vegetable pitta kebab & jelly
Chicken chargrill, wedges & salad
Ice lolly

Stiffasaboard · 23/04/2019 08:31

I did it.
And I actually changed the scales to stones instead of kgs which I had been using to avoid the truth!

9stone 4 which is actually worse than I thought.
Never mind. Am day 3 of my period so hoping to lose a pound over next few days just from all the water retention.

Am aiming to get to 8st12 initially but by summer I’d really like to be 8st9 which is my looking good weight.

LadyBrienneofTarth · 23/04/2019 08:31

I'm not in the same time zone so my morning postings might be a bit off (very late here right now)

But to get me started

Starting: 11 stone
Current: 10 stone 5 lbs
Goal: 8 stone 7 lbs

I am using mfp and it's the only thing that's worked for me in the past 5 years. My weights just gone up and up - and when I started using something clicked - I'm doing the macros - it works for me

I'd love to have some mfp friends - I am friendless right now

My username is the same as mine here

Furkle · 23/04/2019 08:43

Morning everyone!

Starting at 12st3.6 no goal weight yet I'm just going to go until I feel comfortable, I'm sure a few of that is bloat though as I'm usually floating up and down around the 12 stone bracket and I get pleased when I break through the lower stone barrier every few days Blush

Good luck on day one!

Suenahmi · 23/04/2019 09:05

Can I join in please? Just weighed myself and have gained 7 pounds. I was 2 pounds from my interim target weight, now back up to 10st 9 pounds. I am hoping it is water weight. Ideally want to be back to 10st for my holiday at end of May.

I plan to drink lots of water, cut junk out and carry on running 5 times a week.

WhoAteMyNuts · 23/04/2019 10:04

Starting 71.4
Current 65.1
Goal 60

PCBananaHammock · 23/04/2019 10:49

PCBananaHammock · 23/04/2019 10:50

Thisimmortalcurl · 23/04/2019 11:27

Morning , great to see new posters.
Same weight this morning which is good as I stuck to roast chicken and veg and some gravy and ignored the lovely roasts/ Yorkshire puddings / stuffing etc
Today I’m making some chicken stock and will make some veg and lentil soup.
Hope everyone has a nice day.

LadyBrienneofTarth · 23/04/2019 17:41

Ok update no. 1 on Tuesday 23 April

Starting: 11 stone
Current: 10 stone 4.6 lbs (minus 0.4 from yesterday)
Goal: 8 stone 7 lbs

Littlepig8834 · 23/04/2019 20:34

Can I join in?

Weighed this morning, I weigh quite a bit more than you guys. At least 2 stone above where I would like to be (and where I should be BMI wise). I'm trying to do low carb/reduced carb as I'm on medication that has a side effect of weight gain so a low carb diet has been recommended to me.

I would like to try and lose a stone before my holiday in June so I am going to aim for that!

Stiffasaboard · 23/04/2019 22:23

How did we get on today?

I was so so. Didn’t always make the best choices but didn’t go completely binge mad. Cracked and ate bread and other carbs things sadly.
Hit my activity target (1400 active calories on Apple Watch- I can confirm this does NOT equate to the ability to eat an additional 1300 calories so is clearly nonsense)

But I did at least achieve teeth brushing at 8pm before a 5 mile dog walk so I didn’t snack at all when I got back in (despite the teenagers feasting on cereal in front of me grrrrr)

I am now in bed and feeling hungry but I’m seeing that as a win right?

OP posts:
Stiffasaboard · 23/04/2019 22:24

Oh and yesterday I couldn’t quite believe the scales that I was actually 9stone4 so I got back on half an hour later——-9stone5

That will teach me!

beela · 23/04/2019 22:53

I was a bit so so today as well @stiffasaboard. We had a day out, so we had a picnic and then popped to the pub for tea on the way home.

I resisted the ice cream van, and the desserts at the pub, and also had half a cider and then switched to soda water, so I count that as damage limited.

mamaduckbone · 23/04/2019 23:05

Please can I join?
I lost over a stone between Easter and July last year and kept it off until Christmas but it's gradually creeping back and I need motivation to get it off again.

Half a stone by summer and I'll be back where I want to be. Weighed in at 10 stone 7 yesterday (3lbs on over the Easter hols Blush)

Today was first day back at work and there were hot cross buns and biscuits. Tomorrow, I'm starting low carbing - it worked for me before - I find bread, pasta etc easy to skip, but just need to lay off the sweet stuff.

Holibobsing · 23/04/2019 23:13

First post if I may. Started slimming world at 14.6 two months ago to follow the plan and to hold myself accountable by weighing in every week or every 2 weeks as c.b.a with meetings and hate the clapping bit for myself. Down to 12.11 - would like 11 off by June and get into the 11 range thereafter! Will post weekly with aims and losses .
