Hi all... OK the sun is shining but the summer wardrobe just doesn't fit. I know that this is a temporary blip in the weather and it will rain next week but I would love to be a stone lighter by the time summer starts for real. I feel miserable - anyone want to join me. Starting tomorrow.

I ate total shite yesterday. Back on it today, everyones doing so well and ive slipped up already😂 Cant wait for a salad at lunch to feel healthy-ish again!

Whereareyouspot · 13/03/2019 08:13

Hi all I’m still here
I’ve maintained the better eating to a degree although definitely started grazing again and picking at food when I prepare it.

I overate yesterday evening again having avoided that for sometime and the bloated feeling at bed was horrible

The scales are bouncing all over the place it’s ridiculous.
Day to day weights in last 2w have been anything from 60.9kg to 58.4kg with no pattern. I just don’t trust them now!

I’m hoping if I can get a bit lower then this way of eating will help me maintain but the trying to get lower feels like I’m starving. Why oh why is weight so hard to shift the wrong side of 40!

Whereareyouspot · 13/03/2019 15:45

Did I kill the thread cos I stropped then came back Grin
Today’s weight in- 60.3!!! You couldn’t make it up. What is it with my weight it’s like tigger!

beela · 13/03/2019 16:18

I'm still here! Drinking water and trying to avoid the cake table in the office.

EmmaBell88 · 13/03/2019 16:33

I'm still here too, just had a really rubbish start to my diet! Haven't went crazy but definitely haven't eaten in a deficit! I've had all my calories for today and it's only 4.30 🙈 and even though I know simple things such as drinking more water and getting out for a walk will help so much I just can't seem to do it 🙄

helenb706 · 13/03/2019 16:37

I'm never going to go away!! 9.2 this morning despite ultra naughty eating as hubby in Dubai and I'm holding the fort with extension being built/ daughters having exam stresses/3 dogs/ working etc etc. Feel motivated to get under 9 by next week. Onwards we go... today good so far!

Good to have you back spot

beela office cake tables are so hard to resist. I used to have a colleague who would deliberately buy really expensive tiffin all the time as she knew I couldn't resist it (and wanted to torture me or make me fat I guess!)
emma sometimes it takes a few days to get into the swing of a diet so you could view this week as a transition.
helen wow that's amazing well done - you are nearly half way to your target. If I can get back down to 9 stone 2 by Friday I'll be delighted - I was just under that last Friday but sadly I ate the food of ten people at the weekend and I know I'm probably going to end the week slightly up on last week despite heroic efforts this week.

Whereareyouspot · 13/03/2019 17:46

Anyone got any insight into my yoyo weight?

Is it my scales (hopefully she says!!)

Eattothebeat · 13/03/2019 18:30

spot that is completely normal - weight fluctuates massively depending on loads of things like hormones, time of day, how much you've eaten, what you're wearing, if you've been to the loo, time of the month, if you've had coffee, how many drinks you've had, if you've had salty food, if you've had carbs. Your best bet would be to weigh just once a week at the same time of day with no clothes on and only then will you see if you are making progress. I only weigh on Friday mornings.

EmmaBell88 · 13/03/2019 18:31

When are you weighing @Whereareyouspot ? I would try and avoid weighing every day, especially if you're weight is constantly up and down. Limit it to once or twice a week maybe? Easier said than done I know! And weigh before you've eaten anything in the morning and without clothing.

EmmaBell88 · 13/03/2019 18:32

Beat me to it @Eattothebeat Grin

beela · 13/03/2019 18:52

spot also make sure your scales are on a level surface and in the same place each time. I once lost 2lb in 30 seconds by moving the scales across the bathroom.

Caggie09 · 13/03/2019 19:36

Been to the gym today, feel better for it. Also thought id try and do the 30 day shred, not saying ill even keep it up, but i shall try. I do feel sick and have a headache now though😬

Thisimmortalcurl · 13/03/2019 20:17

Hope you feel better today noteven
Welcome back spot
Remain 8/10 , not a bad day today considering at work , off the next two days , tomorrow should be fine but Friday is dinner at the in-laws .. so we will see.

Whereareyouspot · 13/03/2019 20:50

Weight first thing after the loo
No clothes
Even take my watch off!
Hard at surface I’m exactly the same place each time

And yet can go up or down by 2 Kg day to day
Tbh if I weighed weekly and hit a high day it would be worse I think!

I’m off to bed in an attempt to avoid the cupboards altho I ate too much supper so I’m not really hungry but doesn’t usually stop me!
Have done so much exercise last few days I’m aching like a 90 year old

MorrisZapp · 13/03/2019 22:02

I've cracked the 11 stone barrier! Now I weigh ten stone something for the first time in ages! I'm away for the weekend to a party so I'm hoping just to maintain this week.

Whereareyouspot · 13/03/2019 22:18

Yay well done @morris!!

Eattothebeat · 14/03/2019 05:59

notevenamum hope you're feeling better now.
Great work morris
Starting today feeling tired as not slept well and psyching myself up to jump out of bed and do some exercise.
spot I see your point about if you weigh weekly and you get a bad day and it demotivates you. Would you consider leaving it every two weeks to weigh or even monthly? I know this is difficult as it's so tempting to jump on the scales when you've had a good day the day before.

Whereareyouspot · 14/03/2019 07:05

Well done eat!
I’ve also been up early to do exercise before work.
We are on it today!!

maloofhoof · 14/03/2019 07:28

I had a huge blip last night. Couldn't sleep so ate a pack of Hula Hoops, a two finger twix and a four finger kitkat. Nearly 600 calories 😡 such an idiot

beela · 14/03/2019 07:47

Oh no maloofhoof! But today is a new day, just put it behind you.

morris hooray! It's a great feeling to break a stone barrier. Well done.

I've been doing ok, yesterday wasn't my best day but it wasn't disastrous either, I just still need to work on knocking the sugar and the snacking on the head.

I've got a busy few days coming up so need to plan my food in advance otherwise I will be eating cake easy stuff on the run.

Weigh in tomorrow....

Eattothebeat · 14/03/2019 10:46

Malahoof if you get chance you could do a bit of exercise to make you feel better about your nocturnal snacking - that's what I do sometimes if I've overeaten.
I did manage 25 minutes of HIIT this morning and feel better for it. Still not very confident about my weigh in tomorrow though - not feeling as slender as I did this time last week. We shall see!!

Caggie09 · 14/03/2019 16:41

Im going to be really bad and weigh in today as im getting a takeaway toinigh🙈 I was 9st 12 last week, this morning 9st 10. So thats 2lbs gone! I knew if i weighed tomorrow id be up. Im cheating slightly😂

Whereareyouspot · 14/03/2019 18:23

That is sensible Caggie not cheating!

Malahoof can you not have that stuff in the house just in case you get night cravings? If I got a craving tonight I’d have the option of a small breakaway and an old ferrero rocher!

Am trying to drag myself off the sofa to go for a run but had a busy day at work and I’m tired. Am snacking on those chick pea things someone else mentioned they like upthread. Sadly I never stop at one packet

beela · 14/03/2019 18:54

Soooo hungry! But I've got to get the dc through bath and bedtime before I can eat my tea 😭
