-0.2lbs average loss this week with eating an Easter egg on top of my cals this week I'm very content with that.

Out for lunch & dinner unplanned today & carb fest, pancake restaurant & milanos(pizza express in ROI) enjoyed & will be watching every cal in the week ahead. Steps were good 68961

Well done on loss wreck & everyone who's keeping on keeping on you're doing great keep it up, any lurkers?

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/04/2019 06:31

Got my steps.
Scales are needing with my head though as I'm sick on the same -/+ 2 lb.
Gonna knuckle down for 2 weeks and see what happens

Well done happier

WreckTangled · 29/04/2019 06:51

Wow at those steps happier!

Weight up today but I'm not recording it as I'm sure it's just bloat from the fried breakfast Grin also got major DOMS today. Eugh. Hopefully it'll ease off.

Not2bObvious · 29/04/2019 07:31

Scales at 163 this morning, so the same as Friday - that’s a rare occurrence for a Monday although I had thought they’d be down a bit but that’s the way it goes. Piles on in days, takes a bit longer to shift.
Well done on the loss happier, you’re well and truly on the way. Yummy carb’fest. I’m eating a lot more bread these last few days, instead of a bag of crisps in the evening I’ve been having proper brown bread with a little light cheddar or Philadelphia, around the same cals as a pack of crisps but more nutritious & filling. Lying in bed, have to get up soon for work, ugh

That's for the week wreck sorry I didn't make that clear, I was tired and in sinus pain.

Scales sts as yesterday, meals planned out today so back on the wagon.

not2 isn't it great to move on from the crap to something nutritious, and know that you're getting some fibre and protein in

Not2bObvious · 29/04/2019 10:10

It really is happier, I think I’ve just been a fog of crap food for ages. The less crap I eat, the less I want. I didn’t even eat chocolate yesterday! Ok I had cake but it was homemade & tracked. Feel much better, just have to keep going.

Down 3lb this week. Total loss 3st 6lbs. Now 17st 1. Looking forward to seeing 16 something on the scale soon hopefully.

We're away to a caravan this weekend from Friday to Monday so i've been trying to think what to do. Not sure whether to have the weekend off plan which I dont want to do, or to plan food ahead of time which would be hard as im not really sure what's there or if we will want to eat out etc. Any tips?

Not2bObvious · 29/04/2019 13:53

That is absolutely amazing zebra, how many calories a day are you eating?
The reason I ask is you must be burning enough to drop that amount week in/week out. I’d say your deficit must be 1000-1500 a day. So you could easily relax a bit over the weekend, increase your cals by 750 which would allow some nice stuff and you’d still get a loss. And keep as active as you are now. I’d also not weigh in until you were back home & back on plan 100% for 3 days, just to allow holiday flux leave.

OP posts:
zebrarobot · 29/04/2019 14:07

Thank you not. Its also totm so i was surprised to see that number yesterday but I was the same today so im taking it.

Im eating 1500 per day. I have mfp set at not very active and to lose 1.5lb a week. It gives me 1540 per day (after I recalculated from this weeks loss) but i always knock another 40 off to cover the things i dont count like a bit of salad in a sandwich or or spices when cooking. Before this weeks weight loss it gave me 1560 but I set it at 1520 etc.
Ive no idea how to work out deficit or anything. I just try to walk alot and eat the amount on the app. I think weve decided to take breakfast and lunch stuff for everyone, snacky bits for the kids and then be a little more lax with dinner time. My dh is doing mfp too and has lost 2st in 2 months so we dont want to let the momentum go if that makes sense.

Not2bObvious · 29/04/2019 15:27

The fact you’ve lost 2 or 3lbs a week (I think it’s been 3lb fairly consistently?) would indicate you’re burning 7,000-10,500 over what you eat every week. Your consistent losses tell you what you need to know to work out the deficit. The lighter you get, the less you’ll burn but for now you’re flying.
If I’m honest I think 1,500 is too low but you seem to be managing fine, if you find that changes be aware you are pushing pretty hard and you could easily eat 2,000 and still lose up to 2lb a week. But all credit to you, I think you’re amazing! What you’ve planned sounds ideal, definitely allocate some extra for some holiday treats. It’s a test to allow more, you won’t always be on a diet - this can be a practise run to see can you have a bit of what you fancy. But above all, have fun!

WreckTangled · 29/04/2019 15:37

Wow zebra you're doing so well!!

Happier tbh that's still double mine Grin

45 minute full body tabata and abs with weights done ✅ I want to go to bed now Grin

zebrarobot · 29/04/2019 15:47

not i so appreciate your comment. Thank you! I'm managing fine on this at the moment, i hardly ever feel hungry or crave anything but I think the reason for that is I have porridge for breakfast every day, whatever I fancy for lunch then whatever is on the meal plan for dinner but I always always always save about 250 cals for after dinner to have treats with so i dont feel like im missing anything. I dont really feel like im on a diet which was my main aim when i started really. My plan is once i am happier with my weight I will switch to maintenance calories on mfp and continue to track a few days a week to stay on track. My approach is not to cut anything out but be more aware of portion size and not snacking between meals, i feel like these are habits ive learned now that i can continue with once ive lost the weight rather than having to reintroduce foods ive cut out or binging etc. Fingers crossed anyway. Sorry that was a ramble oops!

I also love reading and posting here as everyone is so supportive! It really keeps me going.

Not2bObvious · 29/04/2019 16:03

So much of hunger is head hunger. If we eat well and are in a good state of mind, it’s so much easier to stay on track. I’ve found myself feeling picky this afternoon but I’ve had my snack and dinner is in an hour, I can suck it up.
Great going with your exercise wreck, I’m defo going to a class tonight. My littler lady and me had a chat about it and she said if you want to go, just go. Basically I’ve to not talk myself out of it! I need to eat earlier so it settles and when I’d be due to get picky again I’ll be exercising. Win win

Wreck it was a good week

I've 633 cals left after breakfast/snack/lunch eaten. I've my 3litres of water drank already so as I go in to do grocery shopping I'm not actually that hungry which is mighty

It's definitely a mindset thing though, I agree with that wholeheartedly.

Zebra good to see you

Glad to have another week to count as total lost in April

My shopping is going to be fibre & protein based !

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/04/2019 18:16

Defo a mind set.

Everything hit today. Or it will be when I do 5k more steps

WreckTangled · 29/04/2019 19:38

I have 270 calories left.

Today:

Veggie sausages with salad and tzadziki
Chocolate rice crispy cake

Trek bar

Pasta in tomato sauce with some cheese and salad.

I want buttery toast and Oreos but will try to avoid Grin

Not2bObvious · 29/04/2019 20:19

Not2bObvious · 29/04/2019 20:20

Now I want buttery toast & Oreos!!! 😭
Back from my class, pretty tough, sweat dripping off me. Just had a Epsom salt bath & going to have something to eat. Not buttery toast or Oreos though 😭

WreckTangled · 29/04/2019 20:26

Sorry! If it makes you feel better I opted for two rich teas Grin well done on the class!

Happierwithouthim · 29/04/2019 22:31

I had a WW chicken tikka masala meal, nature valley protein bar, some chicken slices to make up my protein & didn't hit steps 32 cals left & I'm gone to bed

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/04/2019 06:26

1200 steps short as I keep being offered lifts.
Bob on food.

Fbw today. Food will be a challenge as dinner is calorific. I will take the filo pastry off.

WreckTangled · 30/04/2019 06:57

Well the extra weight I had put on yesterday has gone plus another 0.2lb so I suppose I can't moan at that (although I'm still feeling annoyed!). I think this week might be one of those where I stay roughly the same. We will see.

Life I always leave the pastry. Unless it's a sausage roll 🤤

Not2bObvious · 30/04/2019 07:52

Scales up to 163.2, possibly because of the work out last night? If anything I’d have thought I’d have sweated some blubber out! But it’s only .2 up and I haven’t had any movement if you catch my drift. It will drop I know. I slept the best I have ever before coming into my Tuesday job, and I’m sore but not in a heap sore. So all in all a success. Just finished my large bowl of porridge with banana, that’ll keep me going until lunch.

Got some gorgeous new vanilla flavoured unsweetened almond milk in my shopping last night so made a protein smoothie for breakfast 358 cals and i'm stuffed to the gills Grin 34g protein & 16g fibre Halo
40g all bran, 88g banana, 54g kiwi, 32g natural nutrients vanilla protein powder and 235ml of almond milk.

Did a great protein/fibre team rh shop yesterday too so week ahead is sorted Halo

Happierwithouthim · 30/04/2019 08:19

I can't have pastry in a meal because I just love it too much
