Well done happier sounds like you've been really busy!

Pizza for everyone for dinner tonight so I got an M&S meal. It was delicious! Had it with salad and still well within cals.

I’ve had that before *wreck, it’s delicious!
Just hit my 10,000 steps and I’ve around 160 cals left (on 1700) but I could do with saving them.

Not2 if you don't need the 160 put them towards the weekend

WreckTangled · 25/04/2019 19:22

Sorry was so shocked by the lack of sleep I didn't see how high all your other were. That's amazing and puts me to shame

Happierwithouthim · 25/04/2019 19:24

Wreck house still wasn't ready for photos so I went to bed when I couldn't do anymore and got up an hour earlier before work this morning to finish it. Tomo I start work later so I'll catch up a bit there

Happierwithouthim · 25/04/2019 19:25

I'm normally averaging around 7 so it's not too awful

Not2bObvious · 25/04/2019 19:27

Too late! 160 is gone - hunger hit me. Are you knackered happier?
My sleep was shocking last night too, says 4 hours 54 mins but that’s only because I was still. Wide awake from in bed at 10.30 to after 2am, awake again at 3am for 30 mins, then fully awake at 5.30am. I looked like I’d had an allergic reaction my face was so puffy from lack of sleep.

Do you look at phone or time when you wake not2? When ds wasn't sleeping through for first 2.5 years of his life, I found I felt more rested when I didn't know how long I'd been awake, admittedly it was most of the night anyway.

I'm not tired now, I'm always buzzing after running but will go to bed by about 10.30 so that I'm not wrecked tomo

Not2bObvious · 25/04/2019 19:47

I started off listening to my audiobook and that didn’t work. Then moved onto my kindle cause sometimes a few minutes of that works, I put it down twice and picked it back up - I read from 12.30 to 2am. I know I was awake as I had to visit the loo 3 times during the night due to my trying to flush out my holiday bloat. I really struggle with sleep and have for years - I hate when people say lack of sleep causes weight gain so sleep more. Jesus if it was that simple!

I think I just got so wound up as my work is on a no pay/no show basis for my employer (I’m do contracting work for part of my week - I get paid but it’s not easy to ring in sick) So I was stressed that I had to go to work no matter how crap I felt. I get anxious about driving with very little sleep.

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 25/04/2019 19:54

I really feel for you. I've only had the odd night of insomnia and that's bad enough. You get more and more wound up thinking how many hours left until you have to get up. I won't try and suggest anything as it sounds like you've probably tried everything. I don't think it makes you put on weight, only in an 'I'm tired all day so I'm going to eat crap to get me through' way.

Not2bObvious · 25/04/2019 20:08

Oh absolutely - I think it’s the tiredness and craving stuff thats a killer but apparently there is some truth in it according to “studies”
My sleep hygiene (as they say in insomniac circles) is shit, there’s much more I could do. Anyway, it is what it is - I may suck it up or sort it out! Sorry for moaning

What you need is a nice stress free life Grin

Ooo my work scales are being calibrated in a few weeks so after that I'm going to lug them home once a week and do a proper weigh in. I don't trust my scales anymore.

Does anyone measure their body fat? Can you only do it at the gym?

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/04/2019 20:26

That sounds shit not. I can't function on lack of sleep and am totally a crave crap.

Go happier, you are smashing it.

I'm on just shy of 21k steps but trying to make up for an abysmal Monday.

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/04/2019 20:28

I don't measure fat but think I should. Calipers are about £16 from Amazon and apparently it's best to get someone to do it. The scales are inaccurate. The pts might have some and do it though, worth an ask

Not2bObvious · 25/04/2019 20:56

I’ve attached a pic that used to be referred to in the group which I reckons pretty accurate. Callipers are only as good as the person measuring you - I got mine on amazon for around a tenner? Himself tried, that was a mess, best friend tried but she totally tried to save my feelings (measurements were ridiculous, I was nearly 12 stone, I wasn’t in the under 20% range)
