Gonna be over on calories as curry and pudding for tea. All nutritional dense stuff, even the ice cream is posh.

WreckTangled · 07/04/2019 16:56

I've been to a christening and there was a buffet. Need I say more?

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/04/2019 20:30

Ooof beige food overload.
600 calories over today. I'm hungry now too

Not2bObvious · 07/04/2019 20:59

Not hard to go over with beige food life, try a pint of water and hang back for 15-20 mins. If you’re still hungry maybe a small bowl of cereal? I find that a great evening snack. I’m around 80 over - but it’s good enough. 14,000 steps done. So I’m still 4,000 short but I’ll leave it there.
Time for Line of Duty😬

How do you do your steps and stick to it when not in the work day routine.
I'm sick of weekends being shit and putting on the same 2lb.
My average is creeping up overe the last 3 weeks too.

Not2bObvious · 08/04/2019 14:16

I have more time at weekends, it’s actually easier than weekdays. And I barely lose anyway so I’ve got to keep it up, no choice.
Typed a big long answer and then lost itAngry

Happierwithouthim · 08/04/2019 15:48

So I took the weekend off exercise & tracking & family & social media, but I didn't completely loose the run of myself.

Lost 0.6lbs last week and of course today saw a big jump on the scales due to my hangover eating, back to brass tacks today and should see it return to normal tomorrow or Wed at the latest.

Sat - brown roll & 2 sausages, carvery roast lunch- turkey, veg some stuffing gravy and rice, chocolate pudding and then that night beautiful tortellini stuffed with ricotta in a creamy sauce, followed by several measures of spirits mixed with diet coke Grin

Sun - Hotel breakfast le yum yogurt with fruit & granola, granary bread with two jumbo sausages and 2 slices of banana bread with nutella. Mid morning can of monster ultra, I was flagging Grin Lunch/Dinner chicken curry with rice and a galaxy and pack of minstrels in the car Grin

So story could be a lot worse but I've not input it into mfp yet

Water is good today, will make the gym on the way home from my disciplined trip to Dunnes, it was enjoyed.

Not2bObvious · 08/04/2019 15:59

Oh that sounds like a fun weekend happier, and you lost .6 from the weeks efforts - bravo! I’m completely unable to not confess to mfp- if I remember it I enter it. Makes for super grim reading sometimes.
I’m sure there’s some subconscious eating on drinky nights but they not too often.
5 days to my hols, so much for dropping a few pound!

Weights done. Went to a friends so ate a few cookies but otherwise a good day. Should be on calories I reckon.

WreckTangled · 08/04/2019 17:32

Dh has drowned my salad in olive oil. I can either no eat it and he will get in a mood or I can eat it and be over on calories.

Not2bObvious · 08/04/2019 19:39

How did your salad dilemma go wreck? I couldn’t stomach too much oil on a salad, calories wouldn’t come into it - although I know it’d be fairly calorific. Just over 1600, might leave it there

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 08/04/2019 19:42

I ate most of it but it was horribly oily. I moved it to the other side of the plate and there was a big pool of oil left. Bleurgh. I think I managed to remain calories still but the homemade cookies are a bit of guesswork.

WreckTangled · 09/04/2019 09:55

Exercise done. Going to try not to stuff my face as it's Easter holidays Blush

Not2bObvious · 09/04/2019 10:08

You’re on holidays for Easter already wreck (I’m assuming you mean kids off?) Mine aren’t finished til Friday. No exercise this morning, doing a drop off this morning which meant a McDonald’s brekkie, double bacon & egg McMuffin & hash brownBlush
Oh well...

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 09/04/2019 10:22

Mmmm I love McDonald's hash browns.

Yep we broke up Friday. May half term is only five weeks after we go back too. I haven't eaten yet today. Might have an early lunch.

Not2bObvious · 09/04/2019 10:42

How long do you get off? It’s 2 weeks here, thankfully I’ll be away for most of it.

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 09/04/2019 10:43

Yes two weeks for Easter then a week in May.

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/04/2019 17:26

Bah. Hurt my back last night at pump. Getting steps but had to miss class today.
Food will be fine.
Will read back now

Wolfcubisthefemalenominal · 09/04/2019 19:19

Ouch Life, hope it eases soon, keep moving gently and as normally as you can but don’t overdo it (based on my experience not a medic)

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/04/2019 20:44

I'm trying wolf. The office chair was not a joy today or carrying my brick laptop. Fine walking though and feels better already.

WreckTangled · 10/04/2019 07:04

Weight up a bit. Not really surprised. Hopefully after today it'll be down a bit. We're off to chessington so will be lots of walking but also possibly doughnuts. Not sure we will be home in time for dinner but hopefully. Am taking a picnic too so can be healthy that way.

Wolfcubisthefemalenominal · 10/04/2019 07:33

1lb down. It’ll probably be back up tomorrow but I’ll take the positive for today

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/04/2019 07:39

I've stalled a bit since going up a calories club. And over eating which doesn't help.
Back still niggling but it feels more muscular now.

Not2bObvious · 10/04/2019 07:53

1.6 up after a truly heinous day of eating plus a visit to a buffet. I’m not recording it, I know that’s a bit silly but it’s salt retention and undigested food. I’m through my 5th glass of water already! Soo thirsty after gorging myself on salt & chilli chicken in batterBlush Anyway, I feel good enough today to get 100% back on track. I was tired and a bit out of sorts yesterday but my splurge acted as a reset. At least I got my steps in yesterday, I even walked 30 mins to the buffet to hit my 15,000 so I’m proud of that😬

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 10/04/2019 07:56

Walk to the buffet for make me chuckle.

Have you seen the recipe group not and happier. Some nice ones in there. Can't figure if it's open to non members for the rest of the gang though.
