I'm the same with the chocolate which is why (although grateful) I was a bit miffed by the 360g galaxy the dc got me for Mother's Day! I only have a bit left now which I will probably eat tonight Grin 0.4lb up from yesterday. Still down from yesterday.

If you measure your waist and hips how often do you do it? I was thinking monthly?

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/04/2019 08:11

I would say monthly

Happierwithouthim · 03/04/2019 08:26

I find when I eat artificial protein my weight loss stalls so I try to keep protein bars & powder to a minimum, maybe include them a couple of times a week. When I get them from food sources it's much better.

I've my mothers day chocolates banished, they just don't help and I wasn't really enjoying them anyhow - mint cremes.

I've not taken my measurements consistently at all but monthly is good. I am not filling my bras anymore though Shock

Not2bObvious · 03/04/2019 10:33

I asked that going forward they buy me a nice bar of chocolate- seriously these boxes of chocolates are just not worth it. Anyway it’s done now so I’ll pull back. On over 14,500 steps already, long walk/jog to collect a registered letter before the school run, 25 mins weights, school run/home, shower and work. At last a chance to sit down! I haven’t noticed that about protein powders/bars happier, that being said I probably only have a shake twice a week and maybe an Aldi nutty protein rich bar (so not actual specific artificial source) every other day.
I’ve come to work for a rest😬

I'm not exercising today. I really need to sort the washing and don't have time for both. Plus I haven't had a day off since last Wednesday.

Not2bObvious · 03/04/2019 18:30

250 cals left, main macros hit. Need to decide on what I’d like to end my day 🤔

Weight down again today. It seems I have one week where I stay roughly the same and then the next week I'll lose Confused bang on calories yesterday:

Chicken salad and a protein bar

Rest of my galaxy. Yum! All gone now.

Quiche with roasted new potatoes and salad.

Not2bObvious · 04/04/2019 08:21

I’ve had exactly the same weights Mon-Thurs as last week, although the days were mixed up a bit. So pretty much maintenance- 3 weigh ins to see if I get even a small loss by Sunday. I think the weights much be having some effect as I can feel my muscles have been tested. Anyway, patience is needed. Not a very patient person. I think my face looks slimmer and 2 people I’ve met recently said I’ve lost loads of weight. I don’t know though, seems to be a comment people like to toss about. And the flip side is that they think you had lots of weight to lose!
Tired today

Made curry noodles a bit more nutritious by adding a pack of chicken pieces 407cals with 39g fibre Grin

Take compliments when you get them not2

Not2bObvious · 04/04/2019 17:33

39gr of fibre or protein happier? If it’s fibre I need to know what sort of noodles!
Ah yeah, nice to hear it, just when you know exactly how much (or more to the point how little) you’ve lost - you have to fight the scepticism. And I’m always the one to say take a compliment & say thanks v much (not ‘a fiver, Penney’s!’😉)

Under on the calories at the moment. Will probably have some chocolate later.

Chicken salad
Protein bar

Three veggie sausages with a lentil and veg mix
Two rich teas
A few mini chocolate hearts left over from Mother's Day.

Did a 60 min strength and cardio work out. Think I need heavier weights again as didn't find it very hard.

WreckTangled · 04/04/2019 18:29

I'm considering a kettlebell but what size should I get? My dumbbells are only 3kg but I'm finding them easy for some moves.

Not2bObvious · 04/04/2019 19:35

I have an 8kg and a 6kg kettlebell and I use about 12kg on a barbell (10kg weight and around 2 for the bar). I’d definitely move up to 6kg on the kb.

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 04/04/2019 19:37

Oops sorry wreck, I saw kettlebell but you were said dumbbells! You’re doing great at 3kg each, I’ve done classes with 5’s and after a bit it was brutal. Seems easier to do 10’ish on a bar than 2 x 5’s

Not2bObvious · 04/04/2019 19:42

Seriously I’m a disaster.... 🍷

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/04/2019 20:15

I've hit everything today but in a bad way using shakes and bars. Gonna go 100 over and have a crumpet.

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/04/2019 20:23

I'm interested in the 39g fibre too

Happierwithouthim · 04/04/2019 20:55

Protein guys sorry Grin

I'm gone over my cals by 88 & not hit any of my macros & I feel like eating Angry

We had first Confession tonight for dd & h didn't bother to go, dd didn't realise & actually there was a few where only one parent came but still. I'm irritated by it.

Not2bObvious · 04/04/2019 21:54

I suppose the main thing is your little girl didn’t notice happier, of course that being said is that indicative of his attitude with in general... some people eh?

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 05/04/2019 06:40

Ah happier he is a knob.
Ah protein, still great though.
Draw a line yesterday and smash today.

Travel for work today do lunch will be tricky as the work canteen is carb based and I can't weigh. Guestimate.
Taking my breakfast though for the train.

Happierwithouthim · 05/04/2019 06:43

I read a book & went to bed & didn't eat anything extra Halo

Going to smash today, definitely going to gym

WreckTangled · 05/04/2019 07:26

Today I'm food shopping. Going t get a kettlebell too have decided 6kg is for me.

Happier what a twat.

Wolfcub · 05/04/2019 07:30

Happier what a knob-head

Scales seem to be going back in the right direction, will see what the official weigh in says on Sunday but this week had seen a stinking 6lbs of bloat go on and go off. I’m starting to think I should t weigh Monday to Wednesday as it’s just depressing. Also whilst I love beer it’s evil on the scales

WreckTangled · 05/04/2019 09:49

I just had a McDonald's has brown. I would also have liked a flatbread but I resisted Grin

Not2bObvious · 05/04/2019 09:58

I haven’t eaten anything yet - I’m intrigued about the flatbread wreck, from McDonalds? In work for a few hours, then I’ll go home for lunch. Was at the doctors yesterday and was weighed, didn’t even glance at it, I knew it’d only upset me. Weighing in fully clothed at 4pm, no no, I did not need to see that number!
Went over cals last night by a fair bit and was under steps. If I can keep it to just 1 big slip up this week it’ll be an improvement on most weeks. And for the first time in ages I didn’t even hit 10,000 steps. Feel a slump coming😩
