Close to 300 over, but as totm is approaching and hunger levels shot up I’m listening to my body & taking my extra cals. Over 13,000 steps, not too much to go. Might aim for 16,000 to claw back a little of what I went over. Macros hit (and some rather too forcefullyBlush)

Made it to 10k ish steps. Couldn't fully track as dd had my Garmin on as a watch. Did step and pump tonight to attone for sofa work. Macros and cals bang on.

Not2bObvious · 12/03/2019 21:34

Just over 18,000 done, I earned my bar of chocolate 😁

1lb off from yesterday 0.4lb up from Monday. Hopefully be down even more tomorrow.

Not2bObvious · 13/03/2019 07:21

Knew 158’ish was shortlived but the average is still in the 159 range. The fluctuations are so irritating, at least following the average can help a bit. Slept well last night, decided to try making my porridge with half a scoop of protein powder. Just NO, vile

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 13/03/2019 07:36

I think the trick with protein powder in porridge is to add it after it's cooked and extra liquid.

My weight came down today so average has dropped 0.3

Not2bObvious · 13/03/2019 07:50

That sounds like a better way alright - even still mine makes me gag at the best of times so why I though this would workHmm
That’s good news happier

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/03/2019 08:06

I can't eat protein powder. I've found 1 I can tolerate as a shake drunk quickly. All this mix it into good makes me hurl and spoils the food.

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/03/2019 08:07

Food not good

Happierwithouthim · 13/03/2019 08:14

I try to keep away from protein powder for the most part as I find it slows down my weight loss.

I'd make a shake maybe once a week instead of breakfast when I'm going to gym or if I wake too late to grab food for breakfast before work.

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/03/2019 08:23

I use it to get the last few g of protein in. I've got a reduced sugar one PhD diet

zebrarobot · 13/03/2019 09:52

I've never used any protein shakes or powders but i was looking at them in Home Bargains the other day with dh and next to them we found a Slimfast chocolate caramel bar thing for 45p so we got one each to try. Only 95 cals and taste like quite like actual mars bar! Not even a crap diet version lol.

Today so far ive had a rice cake (33cals) when i woke up as felt really queasy and wanted something dry. Then after the walk to school ive cuddled up with ds2 with a coffee and a chocolate waffle thing for 203 cals. Never something I would usually have but really was yummy.

Waiting on the asda shop being delivered and got a washing to sort out. Havent weighed today, trying to get back to just weighing once a week.

Not2bObvious · 13/03/2019 10:06

Sorry you’re feeling yuk zebra, I know weighing daily can feel obsessive but what if your weigh in day is the day after a load of salty food and your loss is masked by water retention? And when you start working out more you may see gains, if you don’t see the ups/downs will it worry you that you’re not losing? Of course I say all this and in my recollection you’ve lost every week so maybe this isn’t a concern

OP posts:
zebrarobot · 13/03/2019 11:58

I'm feeling much better now Not
I woke up feeling ravenous (think due to extra exercise) - so much so i felt sick (kinda like morning sickness feeling) but the rice cake helped until i could get the boy to school

Ive lost every week and i found the week i weighed every day i was obsessive about it - it was also totm so i think the gains i had related to that , then on my actual weigh day i had dropped 3lbs so for now im going to just going to try and stay on track, weigh on a Monday and see what happens.

. Not sure what workout to do today but im thinking kettlebell

Ive just had an early lunch of chicken salad wrap and a packet of fake french fries crisps from asda

Working at 5 so may have a bowl of veg soup before I go to keep me going

Dinner im making chinese chicken, egg fried rice and veg. Looking forward to it.

WreckTangled · 13/03/2019 12:25

I've been so busy at work I haven't eaten yet today. Just about to go into the office so will sit and eat. Also I missed a pill the other day so my fake period has turned into a real one 🤦🏽‍♀️

Not2bObvious · 13/03/2019 14:55

If you feel up to measuring yourself or taking pics zebra, you defo should - we set too much store by the sad step (aka scales!) I need to do that too, I have a few over the last year but very little progress between them since I went on too many indulgent holidays.
Waiting for my period to kick in, the bloated tummy/wind feeling is here already. I take the pill but I still get proper enough totm on my 7 day break. I have mild endometriosis (would hate to think what severe is) and the pill is the only thing that helps. So cravings already nudging at me....must resist a little at least!

WreckTangled · 13/03/2019 16:25

Dinner is veggie sausages, roasted new potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower and gravy. Can't wait 😋 will have some skyr afterwards.

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/03/2019 19:07

Day 3 and I'm hungry. I think may be totm as little things are annoying the shit out of my. Too loud not really keyboard tapping

WreckTangled · 13/03/2019 19:34

I feel really hungry despite my decent sized dinner and skyr. Lunch was chicken salad, grapes, apple and two biscuits. I have some calories left but it's going to take all of my willpower to not eat two slices of toast and my massive secret chocolate bar.

Not2bObvious · 13/03/2019 19:52

I find if I’m really hungry I have a tendency to force myself to stick to my calories....and then crumble and eat what I wanted in the first place. Probably cost me less extra cals to eat the desired option. Have a glass of water wreck and then think about what you’d really like, and if you are actually hungry instead of thirsty/bored/tired/etc.
Dieting for prolonged periods of time is hard going (sucks really)
I’m debating my own remaining cals, emergency totm cals and whether I should enjoy them or not. Hmmm

WreckTangled · 13/03/2019 19:55

Yes maybe it's just my brain craving it rather than my stomach! I haven't drunk enough today either and the bacon I'm cooking for lunch tomorrow isn't helping!

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/03/2019 20:55

I know I've drunk enough. I have about 3l a day. I did a controlled cuppa and a small ish but of millionaires short bread. Feel ok now.

WreckTangled · 14/03/2019 07:19

Well I used my left I've calories for a twix last night Grin

Looking forward to lunch today. It'll be a bacon and feta salad. Yum. Is a whole pack of feta too much?? Wink

Not2bObvious · 14/03/2019 07:59

Morning all. Alarm went off at 5.30 as I was meant to do a treadmill run, I turned it off but managed to drag myself out and got 30 minutes done. Just shy of 6500 on the Fitbit so far, going to have my veggie sausage sandwich in a few minutes.
I like feta wreck but not to the degree I’d eat a whole block. But as the cool kids say, you do you boo😉 Now a twix, I could eat ALL the twix
158.6 again, average down to 159.2😬 Oh that I don’t f it up before Sunday

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 14/03/2019 09:04

So my body is messing me about a bit with totm, could grab way more than an inch last night on my tummy, more like 6 Grin but sure enough scales dropped another bit this morning so it's all good. I'm back to last weeks average now.

I wanted to eat more last night, but I knew it was habit forming so I resisted, I wasn't hungry so took myself off to the shower and then cosied up in front of the tv for a while and chatted on the phone.

I'm back to my 3.2 litres of water too, must start looking after fibre macro now too and I'll be ok then.

Felt good in gym last night.
