Life you just called me meadow Grin

They haven't asked about me weighing food so it hasn't come up but I used to be a Unislim leader so they're both used to the weighing scales being always on countertop.

I just came 7g under on protein for a finish. Stayed within cals, steps only just over 7k but I'm absolutely wiped out so I'm just going to bed instead of stepping.

Bootcamp gives me fun, it's on first thing in morning so it's done & dusted for the day, it's varied
Gym shows me when I'm progressing week on week, can already lift heavier than when I started, doesn't open before work though

Hi all.
Sorry haven't posted for a few days, super busy and just exhausted.

Managed just over 10000 steps today.
You are all doing so well, well done! Smile

northender · 11/01/2019 00:34

Okay, study out of the way which was too much sitting, not enough activity, too much crap food, too little time. So, ladies, I'm in & properly this time, if you'll have me!! I'll try to post once a day & keep up. So, my aims for the week (Saturday onwards): 10000 steps a day (need to dust off the Fitbit), 5 classes. Will ponder my food aims & post tomorrow.

Happierwithouthim · 11/01/2019 06:19

I've lost 3lb! Just need to stick to it over the weekend now. And today which is my day off. I want chocolate and pastry and Jaffa cakes.

Wolfcub · 11/01/2019 07:18

I think I’ve lost half a pound. Very difficult to tell with my unreliable scales.

Well done Wreck

Wolfcub · 11/01/2019 07:20

I've got some salter digital ones and they are fine - these

Happierwithouthim · 11/01/2019 12:41

Mine are salter too and once you keep on top of changing the batteries they're perfect. They always tallied with my electronic ones when I was a Unislim leader, so are consistent. It's similar to life's one.

I've got these from amazon

Lunch was left over pasta from last night with added tomatoes, peppers and chilli sauce. Yum! Might have a nap in a minute...did some yoga and Pilates but was really rubbish and the Pilates hip exercises killed. I have to keep stopping as I was in too much pain.

Wolfcub · 11/01/2019 15:00

Thanks ladies I will have a look

ChristmasSeacow · 11/01/2019 17:02

Hello! Can I jump on? I might not manage to post every day but I will defo read, it’s good to be among friends Grin

I started Slimming World at the end of September and went from 15st 12.5 Blush to 14 st now (was a few lb below - I got my 2 st award- but put 4lb back on over Christmas). I don’t actually know what my end goal is - I’ve been overweight all my adult life - but I know that I’ll feel comfortable at anything starting with a 10 or 11, hopefully I will keep enough momentum to get to the lower end of that range. That’d be completely new territory for me!

Slimming world suits me - I’m not one of the muller light brigade, I just like the fact that you can eat pretty normally (most carbs are free, except bread) and don’t have to weigh everything. And I definitely eat a lot of fruit and veg on it so it steers me in the right direction. It should Even be long term sustainable, other than that I have a bad emotional relationship with chocolate and that rears its head at times. And then I find it hard to stick to the rest of the goodness diet and eat snacky rubbish instead of proper meals.

Anyway, i am feeling pretty motivated at the moment. The hardest thing is planning lunches as bred isn’t really a go-er and I do usually eat a lot of bread. Organisation is key and that’s the main strain of doing it!

I don’t do any structured exercise but am not too sedentary. On a ‘slow’ day where I don’t leave the house much I do maybe 5k steps, on a day with 2 school runs (3x pw) I do at least 15k. Probably averages a bit over 10k, I should look at some graphs really!

10k steps so far today . Had some of the endless minestrone for lunch, not sure what dinner will be but it will involve beef mince.

Wolfcub · 11/01/2019 17:14

Jump in Sea. I’d love to get my weight back down to where you are now. I’d be ecstatic with a number beginning with 11 but I think I may be way past the chance of that.

Fish and chips from the freezer for lunch as part of operation eat the freezer.

Salmon and rice in the IP for dinner when I get around to making it.

There will also be wine

Scales ordered. The ones I have now are salter but are analogue and ds tends to stand on the when he brushes his teeth which I don’t think does them any good. I might hide the new ones

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/01/2019 17:16

Haha I was sat ahem in the bathroom at the time Grin
Body pump was hard today. Macros and calories Bob on. Well I need 1g more of fibre.
Will get 7k outstanding steps going to beavers tonight.
Hey sea

WreckTangled · 11/01/2019 17:22

Hey Life. What does ‘Boots Curvy up the arse’ refer to in your earlier post? 😂😂😂

I don’t know anything about macros. Except in ms Excel.

Wolf where are you starting from? (You don’t need to anser that, obv!). At almost 16st I nearly gave up as it seemed so much to lose but actually, every half a stone makes a difference. So I’m just chipping away and being pleased at any amount of progress!

FATEdestiny · 11/01/2019 18:26

3lb off this week.

Very frugal dinner tonight. After roasting a chicken yesterday, I made stock from the carcass and today we had chuncky chicken soup. Stock, what's left of the chicken, carrot, celery, parsnip and a can of chickpeas. Easy peasy and delish.

Interesting BBC piece that 90% of people don't eat enough fibre, especially those eating a low carb diet. I felt all smug thinking that while my carbs are lower, those I do eat are high fibre. But I work my fibre out to be around 15g a day. Less than the recommended 25-30g.

WreckTangled · 11/01/2019 18:37

I have to have a lower fibre diet because I have gastroparesis. I'm not very good at it though because I'm so used to having wholewheat pasta, brown bread and lots of lentils!
