Big emotions going on there happier💐 Enjoy your ice cream

Wolfcub · 08/02/2019 21:13

Happier enjoy the ice cream. I’m sure there’s a real mix of emotions there, you are on your way x

Happierwithouthim · 09/02/2019 08:06

Sea enjoy your birthday it's once a year, it's not like saying you're going mad every weekend.

Wreck my lo-dough arrived yesterday, first package never came. I'm having pizza for lunch/dinner today Grin

Not2 great motivation there with the dress, and I've added that Netflix programme to my list too

Jam my friend wants to train for half marathon in june, I'm not really keen this year but maybe the nicer one in sept might appeal. Think I'll be too busy with dds communion, selling house & shopping for a new one.

Thanks for good wishes everyone.
I knew I wasn't going to hit my fibre macro so added a few chips to my dinner last night. I didn't used to like green beans either sea, sounds like you're doing loads of separate meals that's very difficult. Thanks for sharing about your reasons why x

So I did ok on steps yesterday- aim is 10000 I did 8000 best this week, had a lot going on though so not going to beat myself up about it.
Water ✔️
Calories✔️
Protein✔️
Exercise✔️
That's good enough for me.
Took until Thursday for weekend bloat to disappear, alcohol just doesn't help my weight loss journey at all. I'm on track for sts this week or 0.2lbs gain

That looks good happier I'm doing the pizza tonight. I'm excited to have a whole one to myself Grin the dc and dh just have regular pizza bases.

My weight is up again this morning but I feel bloated can feel it in my jeans. Will keep going with the water today.

Not2bObvious · 09/02/2019 08:23

I’m dying to hear how the lo-dough works out happier, turns out there’s a place near my job in Dublin that sells it & I’ll defo try it if you think it’s worth the €. You’ve a lot on your plate and you sound like you’re doing great despite it all. It takes me a week to recoup after a big night out, sts or tiny gain is just a step to the side. Tiny loss would be brilliant.
Scales is showing around a .5 of a loss but that will depend on how tomorrow’s weigh in goes. There’s really very little room for error at a low deficit and time is a huge part of it. I need to always remind myself better the less restrictive calories I can mostly stick to and a slow loss, than more restrictive that I can’t stick to & potentially giving me a gain in weight and a further kick in the weight loss teeth.

WreckTangled · 09/02/2019 11:06

Went out for pancakes Blush that'll be it until dinner though so should stay within cals although obviously it was guess work

zebrarobot · 09/02/2019 12:38

Wreck i'd love to hear your opinion on the lo dough after you have it. I love pizza and it sounds too good to be true so i figured it must taste like cardboard or something.

Scales were down for me today, dont usually peek before Monday but after yesterdays bloat and ibs flare up i wanted to see how it was looking. Im feeling much better today thankfully.

zebrarobot · 09/02/2019 13:15

Do any of you meal plan for the week ahead? I'm struggling for ideas next week if anyone wants to share. Its hard to incorporate low cal options into normal family meals as I dont want to make 2 dinners or deprive myself.

For example, We are having cheese burger and oven chips tonight. Kids and dh will have normal portion, i will have the burger in a sandwich thin instead of a bun and less chips than i would have previously. Will Add some low cal cheese and ketchup and some salad too.

Tomorrow is chicken curry. I'll have cauliflower rice and a WW wrap made into a poppadom substitute, kids and dh will have rice and mini naan bread.

Im running out of ideas though

Happierwithouthim · 09/02/2019 13:58

Zebra I only loosely meal plan but am in a different position because dc eat with their father three times a week so if I double up I've my own meals sorted that way.

I've chicken based lunch/leftover dinner/ham & cheese toastie/tuna mayo sweet corn sandwich & one other lunch date weekly or a double up

Breakfast is poached eggs on toast or protein smoothie and morning snack is generally 0% fat yogurt/kvarg/skyr with berries or eggs if I've not had them for breakfast

I don't write it down but that's loosely it

Not2 I do but in a much better place than I was last year.
Can't wait to try out lo-dough. What's the cost there? I paid £14 for 6 plus €3.85 to parcel wizard.

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 09/02/2019 14:08

I paid £5 for two delivered

Wolfcub · 09/02/2019 14:29

Naughty independent fried chicken, chips and gravy for lunch

Cheese and black pepper English muffins for breakfast

Tea likely to be scampi chips and peas

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 09/02/2019 15:10

You are all doing so well.
I've been a bit ill, managed to catch dd2 tonsillitis, so have crashed out by 8 most nights.

Magic balance cereal for breakfast.
Kidney bean burgers (Em's recipe), with pitta bread and a bit of salad.
Dinner will be wraps, they will have chicken I will have mediterranean veg and hummus

ChristmasSeacow · 09/02/2019 15:41

I am interested to hear about lo-dough too. Love pizza but it is completely off the menu now

Zebra we don’t eat with the dc most days (except Sundays usually) so it’s just me and DH for dinner. We eat mostly the same though I do make some tweaks for him eg I might have wedges made with fry light and he has proper oven chips, that sort of thing. My meal plan starting today is:

Sat- home made burgers, wedges and salad
Sun- chicken risotto and salad
Mon- chicken dhansak, rice, spinach side
Tues- (out) - leftovers
Wed - pork and udon stir fry with baby corn and sugar snaps
Thurs - chorizo, cannelini bean, squash and red pepper chilli (DH will also have garlic bread)
Fri - whole trout, couscous, roasted veg

I make everything from scratch (like burgers with 5% fat mince) and sometimes forgo the bun if it doesn’t fit within my syn allowance on Slimming World. Make wedges /oven chips with potatoes, fry light or spray oil and seasoning. Will make proper chicken stock for the risotto, will roast my veg with hardly any oil... you get the picture! It is working though.

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/02/2019 17:11

So I've gone way, way over cals today. Try doubling my allowance. .

WreckTangled · 09/02/2019 17:35

Had my lo dough pizza. I liked it. You need to remember (as it says on the website) that it's not a pizza base just something you can use as a pizza base so that you enjoy all the toppings you want. It is a bit like thin polystyrene Grin that said I enjoyed dinner, am now full and managed to have a fully loaded pizza and coleslaw for under 500 calories (456 total the pizza was 300).

The brownies I made with the lo dough are weird but I like them Grin

Justanothermile · 09/02/2019 17:37

Tomorrow is another day though life. Move on, enjoy the calories.

Here's my plan, if it helps. Happy to share recipes for any dishes that are interesting.

Meal plan.
Sweet potato dhal and rice.
Jamie's veggie Shepherds pie and veggies (will do two meals).
Frittata.
Veggie jambalaya.
Lentil and winter veg bake
Roast veg risotto.
Veggie pasta.

I've also made houmous, and will make brownie tomorrow.

My step count will be tiny today guys, as I've stayed in the house in the main. Even managed a nana nap as I was zonked from yesterday.

Food today.
Egg on toast.
Left over stir fry and a couple of falafels, four squares on dark ginger chocolate.
Sweet potato dhal.
Hummus and cucumber. Some yummy mango and raspberries.

WreckTangled · 09/02/2019 17:39

Also I've added the lo dough brownies to MFP as it wasn't there. Feel all clever now.

Don't worry life that was me yesterday. Start again tomorrow.

zebrarobot · 09/02/2019 17:42

Thanks to those sharing meal plans. They sound delicious!

@ChristmasSeacow do you follow a recipe for the dhansak? It's my fave from the takeaway and I've attempted it but never get it anywhere close to tasting the same.

Thinking stir fry will feature on the meal plan somewhere but i usually do chicken so might do beef strips? And i really fancy some roasted veg like peppers and courgette somewhere. Will need to write a list of ideas and see what dh thinks

Wolfcub · 09/02/2019 17:43

Jam can you share the veggie jambalaya and lentil bake recipes please

zebrarobot · 09/02/2019 17:44

@WreckTangled glad you liked the lo dough i might try it. Do you cook the base first then top it, or do you just pop the toppings on then cook it?

Not2bObvious · 09/02/2019 17:44

Feck it life, just a glitch. Did you overdo it the last few days? I find a big overeat is usually the result of 2-3 tough days with too high a deficit. I just snap! Don’t be too tough on yourself.
Starving now! Having a friend over for dinner. Have cooked a Thai curry and I used the full fat coconut milk, not sure if it’s worth 800 cals a tin as opposed to 320 but we’ll see. Not impressed with the look of it, thought it would be fabulously creamy, nope looks watery as flip. Got to try not to lose my own plot with the vino

Wolfcub · 09/02/2019 17:44

What falafel are you using Jam. I’m considering packet mix for my brexit/snow cupboard

WreckTangled · 09/02/2019 17:46

Zebra the website said to fry it either side so that's what I did. You know those flying saucer sweets? That's what it's like 🤣

Happierwithouthim · 09/02/2019 19:26

Lo-dough pizza - mines the one with lots of toppings. I'm full I enjoyed it, it does need toppings right to the edge or else it tastes a bit airy. I enjoy wrap pizzas anyhow so taste wise not huge difference but it feels like a slice of pizza & cuts like one. The 39cals sells it for me though!
376cals for my pizza & if I'd had mozzarella in, it'd be less.
I'm just not sure if it's worth the cost. Plus I'd be interested to see if second one out of pack will hold. It's too expensive for dc to be having €3.33 per base & then put on all the toppings.

Not2 add cornflour thicken it up?

Life not like you, you ok? It happens a blip like ye all told me, forgive yourself & move on. My scales is going ok since mine.
