Sounds nice Wreck

Fruit toast for breakfast
Leftover curry for lunch - with chips given the freezer has given up the ghost

ChristmasSeacow · 04/02/2019 13:48

Weird - i refreshed the thread a couple of times yesterday but no new posts came up after Wreck’s about going spinning. I thought she’d killed the thread with her talk of hairy pits Grin

In summary, weekend was good food-wise but not great steps-wise as I didn’t leave the house (I sent DH out with the DCs so I could go through my summer clothes ahead of my trip, to see what fits).

I weighed myself this morning - I usually only do it on Thursdays but I am sometimes curious after the weekend. I was 12st 13.5 - so excited to see something beginning with a 12! That’s not my official SW weight as I weigh in in the evening and, erm, with clothes on... but it is comparable to how I’ve weighed myself for years, ie first thing. So I know I am doing pretty well for me. I am chuffed.

It’s a lot of work to plan food and keep on top of making everything from scratch - I find sticking to plan is easy if the food is there when I need it, it’s the organising so it is ‘there’ I find trickiest. But it’s really working so I feel motivated to keep going! I’m not even halfway to what I need to lose, I should get below 10st ideally. I don’t think I’ve been that since I was about 14 years old - hard to guess though as I never weighed myself back then!

Tarka dal and rice for dinner before knit night in a local pub with my knitting group. No booze for me....

ChristmasSeacow · 04/02/2019 13:52

And unfrugally I’ve just spent a fortune on fruit. My last few bags of supermarket apples have been horrible - mushy and covered in a weird wax that doesn’t wash off yet leaves a sticky residue on my hands Confused. Generally I’ve bought Tesco breaburns but not at the moment, no thanks! So I went to M&S today. Fingers crossed these are better and worth the money. Naice cherries may also have sneaked into the basket...

zebrarobot · 04/02/2019 14:11

@WreckTangled no secret, just eating what i fancy within my calorie allowance. For breakfast today i had a home made version of a mcdonalds sausage and cheese bagel.

Not eating back exercise calories has helped this week (i only do 10-15 mins proper exercise a day, the rest is just the usual walking)
Last week i ate back around half of them and only lost 2.5lbs

I have a huge amount to lose so i believe it comes off quick to begin with

zebrarobot · 04/02/2019 14:13

@ChristmasSeacow
My asda delivery fruit has been terrible lately too. I find morrisons good for fruit and veg so ive gone there today

Not2bObvious · 04/02/2019 15:39

That’s a brilliant loss zebra, fair play to you sticking to it - how many cals are you allowing yourself?
Congrats on getting under the 15 mark wolf, there’s something brilliant about hitting a new stone bracket. If I ever manage it I’ll be thrilled! Cause I weigh in pounds now, I kind of forget what stones I am.
Did you have a great night out happier? I went nowhere and I’m up 2.4 on Fridays weight. Dread to think what I’d have been if I had my night out. But as we know, it’s only bloat - be gone soon.
Oh my but that chocolate thing sounded lush wreck, I’m cross on your behalf😂
Giving it a good go today to keep the cals under control. Tired though and my guests brought me a tub of sweets that I got buried in last night. Need to put them out of sight - in fact I’m going to do that now!

Happierwithouthim · 04/02/2019 16:14

I had thanks not2
Where we stayed was really central and the rooms were fabulous as was the beds and the breakfast. We ate in milanos which I was careful with caprese salad, leggera pizza and then indulged in choc fudge cake, washed down with a glass of pinot grigio followed by 3 500ml bottles of cider, 3 soda waters and lime and 2 jamesons and pepsi max Grin but it was yesterday I did the damage!

It's only bloat as you say and it'll be gone before long.

I'm going to do my grocery shopping this evening but with this talk of eating out and stuff I think I'm going to grab a bowl of soup in local restaurant on my way, it'll mean I'm not hungry doing the shopping so should be a help really Smile

Not2bObvious · 04/02/2019 17:07

Sounds like a great night happier, the bowl of soup before shopping might be a good idea. Dangerous to shop if hungry. I hid the tub of sweets in an awkward enough place that I won’t be easily tempted. Took my smaller dd off to the playground for a bit so got some extra steps in. Just over 14,000. I’ve decided yoga is on too late for me since it doesn’t finish until close to 10pm and I’m up around 5.45am for work on Tuesdays. I don’t think it was for me anyway - bit disappointed, I’d hoped it would click but the thoughts of going just hung over me like a cloud.

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/02/2019 17:43

Sounds great happier. I love the chicken leggaro pizza.
Got a 2lb up today but not enough water and the Doritos I had with D's while watching movies.

Wolfcub · 04/02/2019 17:55

So this may be a weight loss win or not depending how you look at it. I’m going to say not. My period showed up. It does not turn up at all when I am 15st or over. I take cerelle so they bugger off but under 15 and they show up intermittently

Wreck can you link your pot noodle thing again. Going to do some for work tomorrow

WreckTangled · 04/02/2019 18:12

here wolf

200 calories under today but the soup might be wrong so I'm going to leave it at that.

Wolfcub · 04/02/2019 18:28

Thanks Wreck. I should really know what to do as I used to make something similar at uni a long long time ago. I’ve prepped a bowl with stir fry veg, spring onion, mange tout, coriander, chilli sauce, lime, ginger, garlic, soy, stock and sesame oil. Will bing dry noodles in The morning and see how I go

WreckTangled · 04/02/2019 18:30

I used cooled cooked noodles

Wolfcub · 04/02/2019 18:53

Do they not go soggy when you add boiling water to the pot Wreck?

WreckTangled · 04/02/2019 19:10

No I didn't think so. I'm sure there's no reason why you can't use dried though, would actually be much easier!

Wolfcub · 04/02/2019 20:11

I’ve cooked them but less than packet time. I will try from uncooked when I’m working at home and that way if it doesn’t work I can quickly put them on the stove

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/02/2019 06:23

12400 steps yesterday. Macros hit.
Body pump today

WreckTangled · 05/02/2019 06:47

I'm not sure how I'm going to do today. I'm so tired I just want biscuits. Dark chocolate digestives straight out of the fridge Grin

Did some yoga at 4:45 so at least that's done for today.

Got out the shower to find dh has popped a cup of coffee in our room for me Smile

Happierwithouthim · 05/02/2019 07:29

Wow wreck yoga at 4:45 and I thought I was crazy going to bootcamp at 6.30am Grin dh has definitely scored points there Grin

30 mins bootcamp done

wolf that's a win, your body is regulating again

Well done to those getting under the stone marks, even though I weigh in lbs now I'm still watching to get under the next stone marker Hmm

Calories hit but not macros yesterday, today will be a better day.

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 05/02/2019 07:41

I'm still not under the stone mark! So annoying. I ruin everything at the weekends I think. But then I remember what I was eating before and wonder why I'm not losing more.

I've made my lunch for the next three days: pasta, pesto, feta, cherry tomatoes, grilled peppers and rocket. I could eat it now it looks so good. Will stop me wanting to buy anything and is frugal.

Right need more coffee...

Happierwithouthim · 05/02/2019 08:43

Sounds lovely except the rocket Grin

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 05/02/2019 09:08

Wow isn’t that lovely wreck, very thoughtful gesture. I was up at 5.30am and did a very fast 15 minutes on the treadmill, meant I was very lose to 4,000 when I got into the office at 6.45.
Scales down another 1lb this morning, so starting to see the average drop down. Food planned, I’ll try get 15,000 steps in too, managed 17,000 yesterday

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 05/02/2019 11:35

Hi all.
Sorry not posted much, but just wanted to say well done to everyone for losing weight and sticking with it.
I weigh on Sundays and my weight is still the same at 80.2kg, so will have to start doing some exercise and to take it seriously if I want to see that number get smaller. So will definitely start the yoga, and will start the jogging again, just need some ideas on quick but effective exercise that I can do at home?

Not2bObvious · 05/02/2019 13:44

I’ve mentioned fitness blenders before, they have some great videos on YouTube curvy, in fact I seriously need to do some myself! All I do is walk or run (ok jog) on the treadmill, need to do some weights.
Got a brisk 30 minute walk at lunchtime so now just shy of 6,000 steps to hit my target of 15,000.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 05/02/2019 17:18

Thanks Not, I will have a look later.
