I don't have breakfast usually. I just see it as additional calories and extra hassle (having to consider carbs and insulin in the morning before work etc). Plus I tend to get hungrier if I've had breakfast.

northender · 12/01/2019 09:38

Morning. Started well yesterday with a 7am class and a smoothie (fruit, oats, cottage cheese, sounds yuk but is actually yum!) but ended with wine & crisps! This week is going to be a bit hit and miss but mainly I want to get back exercising and into a healthier eating pattern.
I've probably got at least 30 kilos to lose which would take me back to my weight age 21 (I'm 47 now). That still wouldn't take me into a normal BMI but I'd be very happy with that.
Lonely you know you didn't murder the other thread and you would be welcomed back with open arms any time.
At some point over the weekend I'll have a proper read back so I know what everyone is up to.

Not2bObvious · 12/01/2019 09:45

I miss breakfasts on weekend, have more of a brunch. Definitely helps. I can manage it during the week if I’m not out on customer site (I do contracting 2 days a week) - those days I’m ridiculously hungry as up from 5.30am and have a rubbish sleep the night before. Tales from the scales are better than expected, as today’s my last weigh in of the week my average weight is down 1lb from last week to 162.9 - am chuffed with that.
lonely, that sounds like a great plan and you’ll easily drop 7kg’s over a few weeks & keep it off. Sustainable changes are brilliant. To save a fiver for a journey must be a great incentive too. If I don’t have to drive I walk everywhere, it saves me fuel and makes me feel a little public spirited to not have the car on the road. I’m very lucky where I live to be able to do it.

Not2bObvious · 12/01/2019 09:47

Oops sorry the last bit was forunescorted, sorry lonely, got confused

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 12/01/2019 10:00

Morning all.
Hi unescorted!
My steps will be very low as will be at home doing housework.
Also I have come down with a bit of a cold so feel a bit rubbish.

QuiteFrugal2019 · 12/01/2019 10:01

Im Queen of BreakfastGrin🍳🥚🍲🥓🍉🍎🍒🍓🍌
I bloody love it! My favourite meal of the day apart from lunch and dinner

I usually have porridge or eggs and I just cant skip it ,I wouldnt function speak
north I soak my porridge overnight so its all creamy and lovely.
I do exercise before work though so Im straight into burning calories.
I walk or cycle everywhere .

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/01/2019 11:54

Yeah unescorted has caved and joined us..Grin
I love breakfast. It's my biggest meal. Rubbish today thought. Bacon roll and I'm now going to struggle to meet my macros.

WreckTangled · 12/01/2019 11:55

Yoga done. Actually noticed I had a little more balance today. Really struggled with the last bit though.

WreckTangled · 12/01/2019 13:00

Made carrot and coriander soup for lunch. Enough for lunches next week, hope it keeps in the fridge as nothing to freeze it in. Will make up for my unhealthy breakfast. Dh tried to help himself and I reminded him he didn't like coriander. He got grumpy and I said 'you don't usually have soup when I make it' he responded 'no but I have lunch' and stormed off. Wtf? I'm not his mum ffs. It's not like he ever makes me food or considers me when he makes himself something. Nob.

Aaaaand back to the thread. My legs are really hurting from the yoga today! I'm going spinning in the morning so will probably have to take pain killers before I go due to my dodgy hips.

Wolfcub · 12/01/2019 13:04

I’m making orzo for lunch with some bits of Parma ham, cheese and marinated Toms left over from Christmas. Resisted a cooked breakfast in the garden centre

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/01/2019 13:17

So I could just eat to my macros and not enjoy it as it would be lots of bran and 2 protein shakes. The idea does not fill me with joy.
I'm going to stay in calories and just do least damage but enjoy my food. Lesson learned

QuiteFrugal2019 · 12/01/2019 13:43

Oh Wreck Sad
Just got an unintentional HIT workout here.Shock
Noticed several hens flying in the run wtaf !
DH said I did the length of our huge garden like Bolt Grin in my slippers .I am not supposed to run.
Bloody HUGE Bengal belly crawling and had all my hens cornered Angry
Chased it off and checked them, all fine.
The noise though, alarm calling hens !
So I sang to themBlush and they calmed down.
They are in and DH told off as its too muddy for them anyway .
Sorry off topic
My legs are like jelly !

Wolfcub · 12/01/2019 13:53

Quite I’m assuming it wasn’t your cat? What did you sing

Wreck sorry dh is continuing to be a dick

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/01/2019 16:34

Quite Grin

Wolfcub · 12/01/2019 16:44

Jrsrusalem is a good rousing choice

Cleaned up my Brita fill and go and I’ve had 2 litres. This would not be practical on a work day I’ve been pissing like a horse for the last two hours

Steps in front of the tv for a bit. Done my physio exercises which I haven’t done for a bit. Plank x 2 and 15 sit ups (pathetic I know).

New scales have arrived. I normally weigh in the morning so I’m hoping the fact they say I’m a fat bastard is a time of day issue. I could be a very depressed wolf in the morning

WreckTangled · 12/01/2019 17:25

Well I was right that no one else liked it. Dh ate it all but I know he wasn't keen (no meat). Anyway I have enough for lunches and I thought it was nice especially as I made it up (I didn't have naan). Have had some skyr yoghurt for pudding and won't eat again now.

Wolfcub · 12/01/2019 17:47

It looks nice Wreck. I’d eat it.

We are having sausages, a couple of roasted new potatoes, leeks and yorkies. Baked apple to follow stuffed with marzipan and covered in jersey cream I’ll get my 🧥

ChristmasSeacow · 12/01/2019 20:01

Wolf Grin. You’d have my full support if it were not for the marzipan 🤢

I think I’ve only managed 5k steps today - guess big as I took my Fitbit off to handwash something and forgot to put it back on straight away.

I had scarmabed eggs, bacon medallions and that crustless toast for brunch. No lunch other than a satsuma and a banana as brunch was late. Dying for dinner now though - steak, sweet pot wedges and salad. As soon as I’ve finished kids’ bedtime. DH is out. I am going to watch crap tv and knit this evening, yay!

I weigh myself weekly so will report that on a Thursday evening.

WreckTangled · 12/01/2019 20:10

I looooove marzipan. I had a bit of Christmas cake. Still under 1100 for the day. MFP says I should stick to 1200 a day. I also haven't had any water today Blush

Sea your dinner sounds delicious!

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/01/2019 20:48

1200 calories is very low wreck to stick to. 1600 is bad enough.

WreckTangled · 12/01/2019 20:52

It is but I'm quite sedentary and I'm not very tall etc. I think 1600 cals would be more of a maintenance level for me

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/01/2019 20:59

You know you best and what works for you.

Unescorted · 12/01/2019 21:03

I did eff all exercise today but but had a late breakfast - after 12. Dinner was a roast chook salad. Made chips and gravy for the scurvy ridden ones. I have been sorting spices. I have an embarrassing number of them. Not including mixes there are over 65. I have 3 types of cumin 😵

Wolfcub · 12/01/2019 21:52

I finished the last few treezelets. The danger is now out of the way.
