Hi everyone!

I’m starting a VLCD (Slim and Save) on 1st Jan and wondering is anyone starting too? Or Cambridge, Exabte etc and maybe we could keep each other motivated?

Keto does kittens, but I just never stick with anything for long enough. Exante worked for me last year, I lost about 3 stone in roughly 3 months, so I know this works if I just stick to it, but its harder now.

rainbowgrimm · 15/01/2019 12:07

Well done everyone, I'm up to 9.2lb, was wanting to get to 10lb this week but I'm happy enough with that.
I'm hoping I might be able to wear my too tight trousers to a course next week if I keep making good progress.

Kittensgalore · 15/01/2019 12:33

Is that since you started rainbow? Or is that your second weeks loss?! I weighed again the other day and had put on!!! But then my period started so hoping it's just that.

Kittensgalore · 15/01/2019 12:34

Either way well done! You will be in those trousers in no time Smile

lexie555 · 15/01/2019 14:30

day 9 here and still sticking to it 100%😊not weighing for another few weeks though. going to start doing some excercise today juat starting with half hour fast walking😯

rainbowgrimm · 15/01/2019 14:40

That's from the start kittens, I felt like I made no progress last week but I did in the end, onwards and downwards. Just been to the post office with more stuff I've cleared out and sold, all going in the new clothes pot.

lexie555 · 15/01/2019 16:20

feeling quite proud of myself was only suppose to do half an hour but managed to push myself to do an hour😊exsausted now lol but worth it

rainbowgrimm · 15/01/2019 16:50

Fab Lexie, well done.

Pitapotamus · 15/01/2019 22:23

I need to do a bit of a re stock of exante products. I mainly just have the chocolate shakes for every meal but I’m thinking of trying the red Thai soup - should I try it or avoid it?

Pitapotamus · 15/01/2019 22:25

I’ve tried the butternut squash soup which tastes Ok but it’s a bit powdery and quite lumpy, you have to whisk it for ages to get anywhere near a normal texture for soup! I’m going to try the black bean meal as well.

BishopBrennansArse · 15/01/2019 23:40

Still going.... still sticking to it 100% and feel amazing, I have a bit of energy which considering my chronic illnesses is amazing and I'm not hungry, is this Ketosis?

MissElaineNeus · 16/01/2019 03:33

Well done all. I'm still not weighing but my jeans were falling over my hips yesterday!

I think ketosis has finally kicked in as I'm much less hungry, and the whole thing has become definitely doable if a little flat.

Eliza9917 · 16/01/2019 09:04

I'm going to try to do shakes only. I did it before Christmas and after the first day or so it was pretty easy, I found I was fuller then when I have products.

I've contacted my seamstress about the alterations on my dress and I've got to take the dress to her on Monday. I told her I'm an 18 (yay, down from a 20 last week :) ) and the dress is a 12 and I want to book the wedding for august so I need to get my arse in gear, and I need to have made a huge dent in my weight when I go for my next fertility app - I don't know when that is, I'm waiting for a letter. And a fatter family member is starting shakes so I need to beat them Grin

Aridane · 16/01/2019 09:26

Farting update: phew, it’s stopped!

themuminator · 16/01/2019 11:53

I've lost another 2lbs this week, so 9 in total. I know that now I'm into the actual fat loss, rather than just water.

A poorly day meant I had a couple of more carby things in my diet that day. I made something with chicken, veg and canellini beans, which was lowish carbs just to keep my energy up (I spent all day in bed).

Back on the plan now. Not feeling hungry, just bored. My tummy is feeling much better, so less bloated. It is a relief to be honest.

Eliza9917 · 16/01/2019 18:00

Well done :)

I've done 2 shakes so far and having the 3rd at 8pm. I didn't go swimming tonight, I'm going to wait until the 'digestive issues' are over and I'm in to ketosis til I go back. I'm taking it meal by meal rather than telling myself I need to do this for 4 months straight or whatever.

Kittensgalore · 16/01/2019 19:17

Yes meal by meal sounds good. I made the shepherds pie into fish cakes ( added tuna and baked) again tonight, and almost kidded myself it was an ok meal with some lettuce on the side until DD announced 'omg what's that smell!' She then looked at me in horror and in all seriousness shouted ' Dad, Mum's eating the cat food'

It probably did smell really bad, I tried not to breathe in whilst I ate it.

Keep going everyone, we are doing well. I treated myself to a mini wok today for all those healthy mini stir frys I'm going to make when I can eat proper food again Grin

NorfolkEnchance · 16/01/2019 19:39

Hi everyone, mind if I join in? Started exante on Monday at 18 fucking stone 4 😭 doing 3 a day, and I'm actually quite enjoying them.

Eliza9917 · 16/01/2019 20:03

Had my 3rd shake, chocolate orange and I had it hot.

Looking forward to a chicken Oxo later if I need it :)

makingmiracles · 16/01/2019 21:17

Anyone else having trouble with periods? I take a progesterone pill every day and haven’t had periods on it for nearly two years, but since restarting exante I’ve had breakthrough bleeding everyday for the past week. It’s making me bloated and a bit fed up and I’m craving everything in sight at the moment.

Eliza9917 · 16/01/2019 21:28

Fat cells hold oestrogen and release it as you lose weight and it can mess with your cycle.

Peachypips · 16/01/2019 21:44

Hi all- Can I join in? Been on Exante since Monday although was on it up until the end of November. Back in the game!

My kids call the bars 'farty bars'.

Eliza9917 · 16/01/2019 22:29

Does anyone else get the keto insomnia?

Pitapotamus · 16/01/2019 23:21

I’ve never heard of the keto insomnia I’m afraid! I’m permanently knackered!!

Eliza9917 · 16/01/2019 23:25

When in full keto I'm awake til gone 1am/2am and ready to get up at about 6am Hmm
